  • Today, Vintage Trains were operating their 'The Mersey Express' railtour running from Tyseley - Liverpool with 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' at the helm. I went out for both the outward and return runs at two different locations.
The first location takes us to Penkridge for the outward leg, the first shot was filmed by myself stood in the field next to the station car park. The lighting was just right and what a sight and sound. The whistle especially gives me goose bumps every time I hear it. Got 5043 at a good speed here as well. A second shot, filmed from the station car park was filmed by dad using another camcorder.
The final location sees us at Bescot Junction, opted for this spot for a different shot as I have filmed 5043 through Bescot Stadium station before. The first shot filmed here was filmed by dad on his phone, he was stood on the bridge running above the river. The final shot of the video was filmed by myself stood in front of the fence by the footbridge. No issues with sun here, but I did adjust the brightness of the clip here because I thought it was a little dark, I also cropped part of the security fencing out of this shot too.
