    Good video, I was hoping you would have covered. Rack & Slot positions.
    We have a brand new 710ic 50 with the 30ib.
    We are using 16 vac zones for our tool and have 2 racks. I had to do a few assignment changes in the UOP. Due to and older print that we asked Fanuc to use. Not knowing the previous programmer before me had made changes afterwards. He moved cycle start and fault reset to a spare which was 2-1-1 and 2-1-2. Our normal setup was on 1-3-5 and 1-3-6.

      @@FutureRoboticsChannel Fanuc is actually my favorite and the one I am the best with. We also have Wittman robots and CBW. Cbw is the fastest hands down. We use Fanuc for all of our dual material injection molding machines. The versatility of a Fanuc is what I really like.

      do you need to have the controller on to replace the battery inside of the controller. I was told they need to be changed every 4 years, @@FutureRoboticsChannel

      Unfortunately I cannot, because of FANUC policy, but you can download it from the FANUC CRC (crc.frc.com/login.aspx) website or try to google it:

    what is the weight of the controller?

    • @FutureRoboticsChannel
      @FutureRoboticsChannel  2 роки тому +1

      It would depend on the controller type R-J3, R-30iA, R-30iB, etc.
      for example R-30iB mate is around 40kg but R-J3 is around 250kg, depends how many servo amplifiers and what hardware options do you have.

      @@FutureRoboticsChannel Thanks a lot! I was wondering precisely about the weight of the R-30iB controller. I understand that the R-30iB is smaller, right? has the same weight as the mate version?

    • @FutureRoboticsChannel
      @FutureRoboticsChannel  2 роки тому +1

      @@emmanuelmata658 R-30iB would be a bit heavier than mate, but it shouldn't to be a big difference.

    Power supply location.

    • @FutureRoboticsChannel
      @FutureRoboticsChannel  Рік тому

      The power supply comes from an external unit, you need to connect the power supply to the robot breaker. If you mean how the motors get the power, then it comes from the servo-axis amplifier.

    • @KeithBrown-cg6mz
      @KeithBrown-cg6mz Рік тому

      @@FutureRoboticsChannel Is there an internal power supply? We have a robot that displayed a low voltage fault. I am wondering where a low voltage power supply unit might be located inside the robot controller.

    • @FutureRoboticsChannel
      @FutureRoboticsChannel  Рік тому

      @@KeithBrown-cg6mz Have you checked the incoming voltage to the robot (at the breaker)?
      Low voltage, would mean that you should provide 480V, but you are supplying eg. 400V, low voltage doesn't necessary mean 24V.
