The steepest, roughest course of the 2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill season was full of mud and dangerously slick conditions today for the first practice session. Union rider, Chris Hauser, hops on and sends it anyways!

The arm-pump on this track must be ridiculous. It's just relentless! I'm really not sure how anyone puts a clean run down.

Man...the holes in the much between rocks is lethal. Gotta haul enough butt to not get stuck in them...but gotta take the beating that speed doles out!
Would not want to huck that last muddy Easter Island statue drop at the end of a full gas run!!

it would be nice to see a course preview or more riders in general using a chest mount camera to help viewers perceive how the bike and rider are handling the track. the helmet cam smoothes things out a lot.

why they made the track a lot easier compared to last year
Some people will like it smoother, some will like it gnarlier, I like the gnarlier Vale di Sole but anyway its gnarly 🤙🏻🤟🏻✌🏻
riders in wyntv seemed to think the new routes that slow things down may make it tougher. the fast-to-slow-to-fast-to-slow makes it difficult to manage pace and flow. good or bad, unsure, but still a brutal track!
My toxic trait is thinking i could Ride that thing 😂

@@devinkalt6502 thank you! But is only one person on track or are they starting on different timing so somebody can be in front of you?
@@veldora2k214 During training the riders are all over the place, trying out different lines, observing other riders, repeating sections, etc. During quali/race runs there's a ~30 second gap between the riders, so there's always more than one rider on the track.
