You are right Mark, even though E bikes are addictive there's really no serious risks like other addiction's. The only thing I've noticed is continuing to spend money in pursuit of more power, no regrets though. My advice would be to go with higher voltages & bigger batteries on your 2nd bike. 1st bike will always be a learning curve, burner bike . After that, you're going to want more.. Hopefully the Graffiti X will keep me content for awhile lol
The Graffiti X should hit the spot. Only thing left would be 72v I suppose. lol
Yeah, Mark, you’re right about the upward trend of voltage on batteries that’s why I was kind of shocked and disappointed to see Segway make that awesome looking beast of a bike XYB ER with the 3 kW motor in the rear and then unfortunately make it a 48 V
That bike should be 60v. The look of that bike is awesome.
@@oregonebikermark8953 👍 couldn’t agree more
It’s the way things go, for sure. EUCs describe stuff in max voltages, but the faster stuff at this point has moved to 168V, which I think makes it 148V in the way an ebike would label a battery. For me, I don’t care about getting stuff at that level, as I think those devices are a recipe for getting stuff banned since it blows the limits out of the water so far (those wheels go 60+ mph). If I was buying an ebike, I could see getting a Wired Freedom/Cruiser, but even that bike would probably get you some side eyes if you ride it at 100% out in public. My big EUC is 100.8V (88.8V equivalent), and it’s plenty fast. EUCs have always been higher voltage than ebikes, as the motor holds your weight up and is also the brake, so it’s important it have power to spare. But for me there’s a limit where it becomes overkill. All I really want at this point is suspension, better waterproofing, and redundant designs that reduce the risk of any one component failure making you crash.
52 Voltums? (What I currently use)…
(And, the more amp-hours the better, up to a point - that point being the bike is too heavy to carry up the stairs, or the battery won’t fit in the frame!)
Addicting as hell, I can't stop, lol 😊
Amen lol
What’s your favorite Ebike to ride daily on the streets?
The Lyric Graffiti.
Hey Mark, beginning to see more 60V 20ah batteries and integrated second battery setups too. I just ordered the new Wired Crusier which has these features (second battery is 60V 15ah). Are you getting the new Grafitti X in August or sooner and does it have second battery integration? That is a sweet looking bike!
I just saw the specs on the Grafitti X...wow!
Looks like August for my Graffiti X. With that battery being now 40ah, hope it's enough.
@@oregonebikermark8953 Haha it should be. 40ah is enough, you don’t need 2 batteries 😂.
I don't think we get much more power and battery than we have now with the Wired and E-Cells at $2,000. You see what is needed to buy something that goes just a couple miles an hour faster and a few miles farther. $3,500 to $4,000 range. Weights over 100 lbs. Much more higher end braking and suspension. Better tires.. I will take the 40 mph 35 wh 60V bike for $2,000 or $2,250 all day long over a $3,500 bike you can't really pedal that goes 5 mph faster and 15 miles farther.
You are not wrong. It becomes to each there own.
@@oregonebikermark8953 we get to be dogs chasing our tails😂
@@kevinnashskitchen3517 Something like that. lol
If you want something decent and not pay ludicrous amounts for what you get - you might just need to build it yourself…
