- Watt set a high standard for himself with his 22.5-sack season in 2021, but even if injuries prevented him from quite reaching that height again in 2022, the Steelers edge rusher's performance still deserves attention. Despite fighting through a torn pectoral, arthroscopic knee surgery and a rib issue, Watt nevertheless was able to play in 10 games and record 5.5 sacks, still showing his prowess in his limited availability and earning a fifth-straight Pro Bowl nod.

Outside of Pittsburgh fans, he’s known for sacks. He’s at 8 so far this season, but he’s doing something different on every play. He’s not easy to describe. He literally wins games like a QB

The guy played 8 games last season and is #27 on the list. That shows you how impactful he really was when he was out there.
He was an all-pro in 2019 for two separate positions. That's how he was a first team allpro and second team allpro. He was first team allpro for edge rusher and second team for defensive end.

To every other fan, he is known for sacks. We know him for being a game wrecker. Picks the ball off at the line, forced fumbles, tackles for loss. He’s the best defender in the league

What angers me is the Myles Garret debate. Beyond the sheer numbers of sacks and pressures, TJ always comes thru at the right time every time. Look at this year's games. We'd be 0-5 without him. #HerewegoSteelers

Hes actually not the defensive captain. At least not the only one. Heyward is the captain (he was the bulky guy in the video talking about TJ)
Not only is it a point blank pass at high velocity but to go from engaging with a lineman, having awareness to get up for the pass and catch it in a split second is literally a defensive lineman’s great white Buffalo aside from a sack strip scoop and score by the same guy.

TJ played Tightened in highschool and college. He had only a season and a half in college at linebacker.

He’s tied for 63re right now cause he has 8 sacks already in 5 games lol so on pace for about 26 sacks. Craziest thing is I think the Steelers are 1-10 without him starting since he got drafted lol

He’s already the Steelers franchise sack leader. And considering the amount of historically dominant defenses Pittsburghs had, that’s not an easy feat especially with doing so in less than 7 seasons.

He just had another interception for the ages. From a guy braking sack records. Unreal
lets not forget he tied the record he didnt even play 2 games due to injury and on top of that they didnt even give him that sack in that last game with the ravens. he def should have got the record even with two games missed. as for this season hes already leading the league with sacks, we are only 5 games in and he already has 8 sacks. if healthy hes way on his way to break the record.

Dont forget hes a LB not an edge rusher. he gets those sack number when he also falls back to cover the pass some plays. They dont have him going for the QB every play.
