Loved this song so much much when it came out and I'm back here now, after 5 years time. Looking back, it's crazy how time doesn't slow down for anyone. I was heartbroken then, and married now. Had few friends then, none now. The people in this video all have their stories, but the stories are not for them to share with me, just like how your story is not for you to share with me.
I think.. the correct words I'm looking for is.. yearning for something I didn't and will not have, connections with relatable people. I'm nostalgic for something that never happened! What makes this song and video so good is that these actors/actresses and lyrics are all relatable. We all connect, maybe not directly, but from afar. ((Sorry, crazy ramblings by a fan :P ))
I feel this
I completely and utterly agree with every last word you just typed.
as a brother I don't appreciate this song "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM!!"
nostalgic..and I feel a little prick in my heart every time I hear the line "Now you're getting married, while I'm waiting for my life to start" from this good song.
The lyrics of this song resonate with me so deeply. "And we used to dream of what was beyond these walls, and we used to pray that one day we'd see them fall, and there'd be nothing, nothing but time," So glad someone's had a chance to say it.
Man, I wish I could live as much as the people in my screen.
Fucking love this tune
Mucha nostalgia en tan pocos minutos. Buena Canción.
why am I listening to this during quarantine
Stand around and gaze at nothing in particular.
Do crazy shit like hang off subway cars.
Ah, to be young...
Amazing track with nostalgia inducing lyrics, can't get enough of the song and cant help but reminisce when listening to it.
it's a Tibute to Talking Heads... Fantastic
Who would dislike this?
anyone else noticed how heavily the violin parts in this track have been influenced by the 2011 version of "This must be the place" by David Byrne (Talking Heads) ua-cam.com/video/rVoPzA0g3Ac/v-deo.html ?
Great spot
I love this song very much!!!
Does this song make anyone else cry? I’ve cried at it so many times
Amazing song and amazing band I'm no1 fan
Hey bryan lol
Thanks Noah, for a new one. The song is great, as are the most of your others. But the video not so much. It is now time for music video directors and editors to leave behind the one second glimpse of image or person. The attempt to manipulate our emotions via 'flashes' of person, action, intent, are now tired and ineffective. You had, seemingly, realized this with 'Life is Life,' but then left that philosophy of whole story behind? Trust us, story is better than fractions of acts, scenes & ppl.
Why aren't there any new songs?
Joe Biden 😢
I am only a sperm cell, but I dig this musicvideo..... No I am 33.987 years old, and I still dig this video..... Seriously guys!!!! Who the fuck cares how old you are? Just enjoy the music.
Found this yday This is the No joke we must be in the 40th time iv listened to it CRAZY LOVE IT
Fresh song which blends beautifully with video. You need an open mind with this band. They are far from bland maybe ahead of their time..the album is great whichever album they made they were criticised 'twee in the extrem' 'thoroughly depressing whats happened to the twee' 'what's happened to the folk' .
This video was released almost exactly 5 years to the day after their song Five Years Time. Crazy when you compare the lyrics of the two songs
saudades de 2013
Of course the thumbnail for this video shows the most beautiful girl in the whole thing.
I just love how the song is amazing, and the video isn't made with expensive equipment. and it's still not like one of those 60's / 70's hipster video's, because you see the freedom tower and modern mobile phones :)
I'm only 20, but I understand what they wanted to say in this video=(
Yeah, well I am 27 and I feel excaclty like in the video.
This must be a live recording or alternative take to the album..
What a great thing to do, very nicely done. It felt to me like a lookbook, very creative and artistic.
Sixteenth person watching, fourth liking!
NATW you're the best!
The song is the incredible
Similar to Coldplay minus the intense vocal range.
Not feeling it. Still love you though Charlie..
Why is Jessica Belsham from my school in this ...
I think this is their worst album

INCRÍVEL!!!
I can already hear this from the radio :)
I wish.
Greatest British band ever!!
Sad decline of a once very interesting band. I think this is a sadly bland album and this track is perhaps too close to 'This Must Be The Place' by Talking Heads to be a total coincidence.
Personally, the more they drifted away from their folk roots, the shitter they've become. Truly sad demise of an excellent band
How much does the lead singer sound like Bono? I though it was a U2 song at first
It seems like all of noah and the whale's videos now are about angery teens. Personally, I would like to see some higher class videos.
To be fair, this is mainly relevant to their new album. Their older stuff is much less so, I highly suggest you check it out, some solid material.
They didnt seem very angry in the video, mainly happy
I love the first three albums by Noah and The Whale, but this fourth album is so angsty and terrible.
QuietGuitaristfan i kinda agree but this and "there will come a time" are kinda good imo
why this gets like !!
