Great advice, and you sound great! 1 more thing I wish more serious minded guitar players would address- be they moderate to advanced players is "intonation." Develop your "touch" along with your ear.. I can't tell you how many decent to amazing youtube guitar players sound OUT OF TUNE simply because they have not put in the work on their "touch", and even though they think their guitar is in tune, they "squeeze" down too hard, and they either are "just" sharp...too almost a half step sharp. Work on your touch: it will make you sound 10xs better- instantly to non guitar players, and you will not be dismissed by "seasoned" guitar players instantly.... cuz that sh*t is like nails on a chalkboard.
I'm thinking that I can do this work on the guitar I have until I can afford the guitar I need, even though it's not going to sound right. Fret board is fret board, no? Also, I'm ashamed of myself because I had piano lessons handed to me on a silver platter when I was a kid, but I didn't want to study the piano. I can read the treble clef thanks to flute lessons, but I would have been so much better prepared, generally speaking, had I taken up my parents' offer. I wish they'd made me do it instead of letting me make the choice.

@@Devon_Rismay Yeah, but please don't go too far. I mean, they're talking about going to Mars these days. We need you here. Just don't go to Mars. lol
@@elizabetholiviaclark but a trip to mars would be soo cool lol
@@Devon_Rismay I suppose "Music on Mars" has a nice ring to it. You're leaving us for Mars, though. Now I'm just sad. lol

keep playing champ! Are you saying that there is no rhythm when you try to improv?
@@Devon_Rismay naw I have no rhythm 😂😂😂 .
Getting better at NOT treating the guitar like piece of work to get out the door though .
