Is it possible to do the FX AND all individual channels? It seems these tutorials are separated for some reason, but I have not heard you mention this. I'm new to all this, sorry for the ignorant question.

hi drew, I have midas m32c and Behringer s32....I try your routing guide..but no luck...,,I do get signal through if I select card out aes 25-32 -into waves super rack...but on midas I can mute the effect nor adjust the fader on bus ....

Great video! Using this configuration plus inserting the mix bus on aux 5/6 is posible? I inserted the mix bus with SR performer on the M32 this weekend and I experiencing some phasing issues, is this normal ? My buffer was at 256.

Yes you can. When you are using the mixbusses, you will need to make sure that you are not sending any original audio through the mixbusses and the main LR. For example if you are using the mixbus as a subgroup, you would want to un-assign the channels from the Main LR, and only have the channels going through the subgroup.
I like your videos but since im working with the M32C its very confusing. However I managed to make the reverb work with this video, thx! Almost all the guys expaining routing use the x32/m32 instead of using the edit software or Mixing Station😞It would be verry helpfull if you could make a video about routing using the edit software! Im still having problems to understand the logic behind the routing
Not easily with USB connections - It's point to point. But take a look at DANTE where you can just route the audio to another machine. You're still going to have to work within the limits of the X32 however and unless your channel count is fairly low run out of capacity.
Hey drew, can I update my console from version 2 directly to version 4 without going from 2 to 3 then lastly version 4? I'm still skeptical that it'll not support the update as the firmware is the latest. Thanks!
I would make sure to save and backup all of your settings. You can take a look at this video that has some tips: ua-cam.com/video/163TWefj2uE/v-deo.html. Then make sure you test everything before you do your next show with it. I remember there was one firmware that Behringer added tap points to the maxtrix, and the newer firmware made it so they were all pre-fader. So just make sure to go through your settings and make sure everything looks right.
Yes, you could set Card 1-8 for the aux method, and then Card 9-32 for the channel method. Another option is to use the User Routing and then have more detailed patching options. But the only downside is that the Auxes are only able to get 1-6 on patching i.e. User 1-6, Card 1-6. You wouldn't be able to set the auxes to be User 26-32. Hopefully this makes sense.

I'm soon to get SuperRack Performer and have a very beefed up current MacBook Pro to dive into this - also tapping into the Waves support page and aiming to use plug-ins with zero latency to minimize the software/computer element, aware that there will still be some latency from the USB/hardware side of this with the X32.
Hi, testing that I realized that the insert point is before the fader on the effects bus. So indeed, moving the fader of bus 13-16 dies not hace any effect on the sending of the signal. Is it like that, or am I missing someting and should work as a normal effects bus? Thanks for all
You can set your mixbus sends to be pre or post fader on the console. If you select the mixbus, you can then press view in the config/preamp tab, and then change the sends configuration. You would want to have monitors/IEM's set to pre fader, and anything for effects set to Post-Fader. Hope this helps!
Second time you're talking about inability to use TS AUX inputs, which is actually wrong ;) You can do some clever routing with User Inputs and reroute Physical Aux inputs into regular Channels (1-32). Obviously you'll lose Some channels, but it all depends on your use. And yes - I did this exactly for Waves purpose.
You caught me again! I recorded this and the other video back to back. But yes you are correct, you can use the user routing to circumvent the issue of removing the aux inputs.
Hey drew, Once you insert the FX onto the bus as an insert why not just send it into the main LR channels and avoid another step by using the aux channels for this, just like you do on the Wing, I understand it might be for people that need the return for monitors but maybe show both ways so it's easier for most people, or for say FOH engineers who don't need the return separately. Theoretically you can do this using any DAW. It doesn’t have to be waves super rack correct?
