EastEnders | Dot's Theme (Clean)

- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- As Dorothy 'Dot' Branning/Cotton was laid to rest for the final time in Monday's (12th December) very emotional episode of EastEnders, Simon May composed a special version of the theme tune entitled 'Dot's Theme' as he had done previously with other iconic characters including Kathy, Pat and Peggy, as well as a special Jubilee edition of the theme earlier this year. For Dot's, a rendition of Abide With Me is included which leads into the famous theme.
Due to the use of a few voiceovers throughout the theme, I have cleaned it as best I can to present it here for easy listening. Do enjoy as a tribute to the iconic Dot Cotton/Branning and the late June Brown.
In memory of June Brown 1927-2022.
Seeing Dot being buried next to Ethel, two friends reunited it made me ball my eyes out
Shes also reunited with Peggy as well
Pauline and Lou
And Jim
And Nick
"Enjoy the time you've got, it's over in the blink of an eye" ❤️🥺
She said it’s over in the blink of an eye
Such beautiful words 💕.
@@liamglennie554 same thing lol
Thoroughly deserved composition for the best actress the show ever had
Dot's own personal version of , Abide with me , mixed with the theme . Genius . Dot / June would love it .
She certainly would.
Who would have thought two tunes so different would segue together so well?!
Thank you for everything June ❤️
I got quite teary when watching this episode. This theme is beautiful!
My Indian Great Uncle (Grandma's brother 1918-2011) and Great Aunt (his wife 1924-2015) were like the real life version of Dot and Jim : she was religious and loved to talk while he was laid back and secular. Wonderful people.
And they both had long lives which is great to see.
Never will be able to get used to the square being without this legend of a woman, R.I.P Dot cotton/June brown, you will live on in our memories forever❤️😥🥂🚬
“ enjoy the time your got it’s over in a blink of a eye “
Dots theme is longer then Pat & Peggys. I love it ❤ RIP JUNE BROWN
Because she's been on the show longer
@@ronki23 Pat was on 26 years without a break.
@@dannygriffiths7952 yes but iirc Dot's been there from the beginning. Main characters deserve their own theme: Pat, Peggy, Dot
@@ronki23 Dot didn’t quite come from the beginning, she came into the show four months after it aired, joining in the July, Eastenders started in February 1985, and she took long breaks throughout the years making Pat more of a longer character
Pat isn't dead
What a piano player Simon may is. Every theme is amazing
We will miss you dot as always it’s not the same without you and rest in peace❤
definitely deserved her own theme
These episodes were truly amazing and something that Actress June Brown would’ve been proud of!
going into 2023 without Dot doesn’t feel right
It was truly beautiful and I like to think EastEnders did June proud with the episode ❤
All of the Matriarchs are gone now but what legends they were
Still got big mo and yolande
It’s like a pretty hymn…such a beautiful tribute.
The theme is mixed with the hymn, Abide With Me, Julia’s Theme and the EastEnders theme
@@ste9281it’s so Dot🥹🙏✝️
The best teacher on my internship announced her official resignation from the company today after taking Voluntary Redundancy.
Tomorrow, all the interns are gathering, and we will play this theme in a moment of remembrance for the true legend she was, and the great loss we have suffered from her departure.
Don't think I've ever cried so much at a TV show I was a state when this aired a truly ugly sight well uglier than usual I love a Julia's theme I always hope for one and I so love a special one
A lovely theme
Perfect
2:00 - 2:16 is my favourite part of the music
Goodbye Dot. ❤️😥😭
Brilliant Work Mr May
Beautiful
Best theme song for a character since Peggy
End of an era. 😔
Hands down.
One of, if not, THE longest serving EastEnders character (not counting Ian Beale). She deserved the send-off she received.
Thank you.
2:45 still got the Eastenders Whistle.
This video is truly something amazing.
This was an emotional episode.
Watching the old episodes with Dot knowing she's dead is tragic
Thank you for doing this
Loved it when Jack put the Packet of Cigarettes into her Coffin RIP DOT Know your With Ethel And Jim
Well done MR May
When it started playing in the show I wondered whether it was just a generic instrumental or whether it really was going to be a dedicated EastEnders theme - as soon as I heard 1:43 a smile came over me
This sounds similar to Peggy's Theme
Both Peggy's Theme and Dot's Theme are variations of Julia's Theme
Simon May was My Teacher
Abide in me, isn't it???? Doesn't anyone else hear it, or is it just me??
Yes, it's Abide With Me - very popular funeral music to use.
