    Thanks for the video fred ! Very informative but I am not sure a goat can give birth 3 times a year since the gestation period is 150 days ..we have only 365 days so they can give birth 2 times and get on average 3 (1+2)kids a year for the first time ,then 4 (2+2) the second year ..

    Thank you for the video. I prefer cattle over goats anytime in West Africa. If you also take in to consideration milk production the difference will be clear. thank you

    Pls rethink the percentage of feed per day of feeds for cows and goats. My cows do about 10% per day and my goats 5% per day. Everything else you said is very true. Thanks

    Good morning brother
    My name is ALHAJI HASSAN IBRAHIM. I’m interested in goats and sheep’s farming in Togo. I already purchased 2 acre lands for it. How much money do I need to start and how many animals do I have to start with? How do I prepare the farm in terms of their shelters separation and so on. When I am ready to embark is anyone from your trainees will assist me during that beginning processes? Please advise.
    Thank you so much, until then to hear from you soon.
    May Allah bless your businesses.

    Thanks Fred, please like how many acres of land do I need for cow farming ? Thanks

    • @FarmingInAfricaOfficial
      @FarmingInAfricaOfficial  Рік тому

      My answer to that will be unlimited if you plan to do a lot because you will need a large amount of land to plant your feed. But in general about an acre or less can house them based on the number and as much as you can for planting your feed

    You can't produce three times a year but two only, because goat pregnancy last for 152 days multiply by 2 and the answer is 304 days, and the remaining days is 61 or 62 which is two months. Goat cannot gift birth in two months. But anyway thanks a lot my brother, I always follow your video, your UA-cam video very informative interesting to me.

    The gestation period for goats is 145-155. Therefore, you can only have your goat reproduce twice a year and not thrice.
