Fred misinformed is audience, is far better than "soory, I lied". The information was correct as at the time he said it But he has since realised that it was incorrect. I have followed his video for more than three years. And I find all his literature on goats and other livestock very educative. Also I have purchased Bracheria seeds from Semenshia farms two years ago which was planted in my farm in Ota, Nigeria. Carry on fred, you are a good educationist in livestock
Thanks a lot brother Fred for the update. You have always been honest and truthful to your viewers and I respect you so much for that. Keep up your good work bro.
Hello Farming in Africa My question is how did you prepare the soil prior to your first planting? And how have you been able to keep the local weeds from coming back to compete with the bravhiaria grass that you planted. Did you use the traditional slash and burn? Did you nursery the grass and transplanted them? I have more questions. Thanks for posting this information.
Very useful info and well noted sir….but Having a problem with my seeds😢!!!! Made a nursery for it and just some few countable ones germinated for almost two weeks now😢 Any assistance pls
Please let’s not forget that one may also need to fertilize the soil over time because it’s sucking nutrients out of the soil. So you have to feed it something back in return
Hello, I commend the good job you guys are doing, Please keep it up. Kindly advise can this grass serve as fodder to other animals like pig otherwise please recommend. Thanks
Hi Fred, am confused here, according to the caption of your video, it is stated as Semanhyia grass, but you talked about Brachiaria grass through out your presentation of the video. My question is, are they the same grass is just different in names.
Bro, what if you have a well and can provide the Mulato 2 consistent water, will that let the grass grow faster and better? And please I am in Somalia can I purchase the seeds through you?
Hello, yes if you irrigate it, you will see improved growth rate. Yes we can if only you can handle the delivery costs. Send us a text in WhatsApp +233241177677
We have put 5 bigger and 13 smaller water harvesting trenches (swales) on our land, which run along contour lines. Together with the 7 ponds we dug, we can catch up to 3 million liters of water that would normally run off and not help on our land. @@FarmingInAfricaOfficial
If you research, all Bracheria Grasses originated from East Africa (i.e. Kenya) and were imported to Brazil in the early 19th century. The grass is making its way back to West Africa in the late 1960’s early 1970’s.
@Kwaku Rich I don't know anyone doing it commercially yet but good news is we just started selling some at our farms, kindly contact +233241177677 for more info

Alright sir….
I have the same problem. The seeds could not germinate.
Please let’s not forget that one may also need to fertilize the soil over time because it’s sucking nutrients out of the soil. So you have to feed it something back in return
Yes you are right. That’s also quite important
Maybe with Organic fertilizer or compose
Fred get mestizo grass seed. It's the best out there at the minute. I'm planting mine at the end of this month

Yes, absolutely.
Hello Fred..with what equipment did you harvest the braccharia ?
Drum mower attached to a tractor
Botswana is dry most of the time, we have very short rainy season and some years it doesn't rain at all. Can I then water this grass?
Oh yes you can water them
Hello Fred, how do you bale your grass on the field.
We attach a baler to a tractor. Kindly check out tiktok for videos
Hi Fred, am confused here, according to the caption of your video, it is stated as Semanhyia grass, but you talked about Brachiaria grass through out your presentation of the video. My question is, are they the same grass is just different in names.
Semanhyia grass is a unique variety of Brachiaria grass
Can you allow the livestock to graze directly in the field?
Yess
@@FarmingInAfricaOfficial thanks
👍👍
Will this grass flourish in a dry country like Namibia
Oh yes!!! Ghana is equally a dry country
Bro, what if you have a well and can provide the Mulato 2 consistent water, will that let the grass grow faster and better? And please I am in Somalia can I purchase the seeds through you?

Put in rainwater harvesting swales if you haven't done so yet.
Well noted
We have put 5 bigger and 13 smaller water harvesting trenches (swales) on our land, which run along contour lines. Together with the 7 ponds we dug, we can catch up to 3 million liters of water that would normally run off and not help on our land.

Can pig eat this type of grass both dry and wet
Yes they can
What of bracheria movano from Brazil
If you research, all Bracheria Grasses originated from East Africa (i.e. Kenya) and were imported to Brazil in the early 19th century. The grass is making its way back to West Africa in the late 1960’s early 1970’s.
Have you planted it here in Africa and it worked?
Why is it important to give the boar goats dry hay instead of raw grass when they arrive from South Africa
Dry is always better for them to adjust to than the wet grass
It's brachary molato or what
Yes it’s a variety of it
Can u please sell some out
We are currently not selling but will let you know when we are 🙏🏾
Where can I buy it am in Ghana
