This is the second or third time I have watched one of your channels with a first time reaction to this movie - still love them every time and even more with the increased predictability.
As a human being, I could never stay married to a person whose heart belongs to someone else. Is knowing someone is staying with you out of obligation rather than feelings really enough for you? It shouldn't be, and I think the emotional conversation Kelly and her husband could and should have had was a missed opportunity to make a great movie even greater.
@@UpYourArsenalno they're not, but they are a primary responsibility and obligation, which doesn't include a stable marriage, as crazy as that sounds. No person should EVER, I mean EVER, waste their life with a person they're not truly in love with "because of the kids." You can sacrifice on behalf of your kids, but you don't have to stay married. The marriage is prior to the children, and that's why many marriages are lost.
I didn't feel she stayed with her family out of obligation. To me, it looked like she got caught up in the emotional reunion after no closure for so long and then realized she was about to leave her husband and child, whom she _also_ loved, and came back down to reality.
This movie was so good it made people cry over a volleyball lol. PS: I'm glad they didn't show what was in that box, imagine how messed up it would be if it was full of survival tools and a GPS phone or something that could of gotten him off the island on day one.

I absolutely love you're reactions Devin and on a different note you know you're relationship is great when you're dancing with your girl on the sound of the copying machine!
Tough to pick a favorite part of this movie, given how much I tend to quote it. Whether it's "CRUNCH TIME" or "FIRE" (with the voice crack of course) or "I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly anymore" (just something about how blunt the line is that I find weirdly funny).
This is the first time that I've noticed the wing logo on the port a potty that he was using for a sail on his raft. I saw it when it blew off of the raft. Lol
What an amazing movie, and wonderful 'Reaction!' 🙂 For myself, what really makes a good story stand out is if the Viewer can put themselves in that situation and imagine how they would/might handle things. It tells a good 'Story.' "Castaway" ups that many-times-over, because it *NAILS* the importance of human 'Spirit!' Our will to endure, to adapt/overcome, to WIN with everything we've got, in spite of apparent odds.
Another really great movie with one character in most of the film is Spencer Tracy in the old classic movie The Old Man and the Sea ---- Its a wonderful film

Hey, Devin. Just wanted to say i’ve been following you since the beginning and your reactions and especially the editing has become one of the best out of there. Congratulations my guy.
I still maintain that only Tom Hanks can have me ballin' like a baby over a damn volleyball!
Another great reaction. I always look forward to your videos.
@Devin G another terrific film, another terrific reaction :) was a fun watch tyvm good Sir
I absolutely love you're reactions Devin and on a different note you know you're relationship is great when you're dancing with your girl on the sound of the copying machine!
That’s real love when you can create your own rhythm to something that simple
❤CLICKED SO FAST 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Thank you for watching
Tough to pick a favorite part of this movie, given how much I tend to quote it. Whether it's "CRUNCH TIME" or "FIRE" (with the voice crack of course) or "I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly anymore" (just something about how blunt the line is that I find weirdly funny).
This is the first time that I've noticed the wing logo on the port a potty that he was using for a sail on his raft.
I saw it when it blew off of the raft. Lol
And we never find out what was in that angel package
nah my guy, talking to that ball is what kept him form going crazy
Devin: "... as long as the pilots are calm, I'm calm."
Me: hee-hee-hee...!
What an amazing movie, and wonderful 'Reaction!' 🙂
For myself, what really makes a good story stand out is if the Viewer can put themselves in that situation and imagine how they would/might handle things. It tells a good 'Story.'
"Castaway" ups that many-times-over, because it *NAILS* the importance of human 'Spirit!' Our will to endure, to adapt/overcome, to WIN with everything we've got, in spite of apparent odds.
Awesome reaction and one of the best survival films, it definitely hits you in the feels towards the end.
Another really great movie with one character in most of the film is Spencer Tracy in the old classic movie The Old Man and the Sea ---- Its a wonderful film
Awesome reaction. Loved it man!
Greatly appreciated
Dev - It’s not at all “ironic” that the FedEx boxes washed ashore. They were, of course, on the same plane.
Well, I was full on crying and sometimes sobbing for most of this reaction. Don't worry, it's only natural. It is a very tragic, sad and beautiful movie. That scene that made you cry breaks my heart. The huge loss both of them must've been feeling that moment.. ! 💔😭
Amazing movie, touching reaction.
Keep up the good work bro.
Appreciate it!!
fantastic movie
There was probably all kinds of survival gear in that damn package with the wings
A satellite phone
She married his Dentist
a great movie making every body shouting Willson for generations.
the Fedex add is a bit strong though XD
FedEx got heavy promotion in this movie for sure
Personally this movie is in the top 3 best movie's of all time.
Almost cried? I see that tear in your eyes!
Damn skippy 😂😂😂, thanks for sharing 😊👍✌️🇺🇸
Ty. You never fail to deliver decent content. Lol. Thnx again man. 👍
What must improve on to deliver great content?
I feel like that would have just broke the tooth in half and still caused him a infection
Cool reaction bro. Very empathetic!
They said in the dvd commentary that the unopened box he kept actually had a weatherproof solar powered satellite phone.
That was just a joke though.
That's why the movie is called Cast Away, not Castaway. He was a castaway stuck on an island, but when he got home, he was cast away literally.
This movie was based on a true story. Tom Hanks spent a lot of time talking to the Fed Ex guy who survived this.
This movie is heavy duty! I usually only watch bits and pieces of it (the happy parts). I do think it’s a good movie for you to watch - once anyway!
If you haven’t seen Tom Hanks in “Big” that’s a good follow-up feel good movie. I also love it that you enjoy the early Disney movies…Snow White is sweet. 💕💕💕
Another Tom Hanks movie where it's basically just him is called Finch. I highly recommend that movie you will not be disappointed.
A couple of other good "solo" movies are 127 Hours and All is Lost. Highly recommend both!
I hit the "like" button and made comment because I like you. P.S. I'm subscribed.
This movie came out when I was about 10 and as a Boy Scout it’s still the scariest movie I’ve ever seen. This movie never left me, how the fuck can you survive on an island alone? You can’t. This fucking movie is genuine fear fuel
Such a pretty island yet so scary all alone
Only Tom Hanks could make a movie with a goddamn volleyball.
You know they were good writers when they make you cry over a volleyball
😎👍👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Finland🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
You might've missed it, but the volley ball brand is Wilson. They actually issues a special "Wilson" edition after the movie with the face on it. They still sell them. How about Hank's dieting method. He really went thru a transition.
Great reaction. You really didn't know Anything coming into this one huh? That's the way to do it!
Lmao "I almost cried for that volleyball"...I actually became best friends with a neighbor of mine after getting off school bus back in middle school finding deflated volleyball n pretending was wilson etc lol
He had me feeling emotional for volleyballs lol
It was all he had to talk to he gave it a personality like when a kid thinks their stuffrd animals have feelings and are somewhat real that is the way he felt about Wilson
You should watch the South African movie Tsotsi. Won a few awards. Was the South African Oscar entry for the year it came out. Always makes me cry.
"Moon" with Sam Rockwell !
Only Tom Hanks could star in a movie by himself and it be entertaining. Tom Hanks is on the mount Rushmore of actors
