Carnevale di Venezia has a long history, but the Carnival as we know it nowadays doesn't exist for that long. Also Carnival didn't always take place and was even banned in Venice during a certain time. But whilst there are masquerade balls to visit it might not be the things you will be doing as a tourist in Venice. So what are you doing besides admiring the beautiful carnival costumes in Venice, Italy?
