Several M1916 and similar models have been rechambered in 1950s to 7,62x51 CETME (not NATO). Some of them were adopted by the Guardia Civil and have the Crest on the receiver (I own one of these). The CETME is a reduced pressure version, around -10000psi, of the NATO specs.
