    Aside from the game, and how good big Rich, Dyson, JJ, Vit and Kobe looked. The thing that got me excited was how Trae behaved on the bench. He was really enjoying it. More than I've seen for a good while now. Saw him pull Kobe, ZR and Vit away and talk to them almost in a coaching aspect, which is great to see. The way he celebrated some of the highlight plays too was really encouraging. He looks locked in with this squad and that is only going to bring good things.

    Hey Brad...I'm a Cavs fan...but very much enjoy your takes and commentary! Concerning the Hawks...couldn't agree anymore with your take that Trae,Boggie and JJ are the top 3 and will almost certainly be 3 of the 5 that close the games. Nance..whom I know very well, would fit extremely well with those 3...believe me...he will not get in the way...he will keep the ball moving,play great D...he's so unselfish! I honestly could see a rotation of Trae,Boggie,Zacch,JJ and Nace...performing REALLY well during the game or even closing it out!!!

    Quin absolutely better play Nance at that 5 out line-up! Hawks fans are going to really like Nance!

    A personnal take on this roster for the big man if u want something from them: Larry Nance if u need spacing and shooters all around, Capela if u need rebound and rim protection and Onyeka Okongwu if u need versatility on defense on the perimeter

    Sports illustrated just dropped that the Hawks might be in play for Bruce Brown. Him and Hunter have identical salaries, Onyeka makes about 4 million less than Poeltl, and we're clearly trying to move off of Zeller who is coincidentally a 4 million expiring.
    What do you think the framework of a deal between the two teams would look like? It feels like we might be trying to shed some of our mid-level deals we signed before the new CBA and be pursuing financial flexibility through a trade from my perspective here.

      I was referencing the entire reaction to everything, not just Hunter. But every fan base has their players they turn on. For the Hawks, it’s Hunter and Capela

      Yeah i think the extension was bad (and said that when it happened) but that also doesn’t mean he’s terrible or something now; just a limited player

    Brad!! Let me start off saying I respect your take on the HAWKS! And you a Michigan Alum!! GO BLUE!!! But!!! Your take on Risasher was horrible!! You wanted Sarr!! And you still defend Hunter who can’t dribble, shoot, or pass. But you cool with me Brad! Lol!

    • @LockedOnHawks
      @LockedOnHawks  13 годин тому +1

      lol “you wanted sarr” is not really an accurate framing at all
      i spent the entire cycle talking about how there wasn’t a clear number one in the class and pushing back at hawks fans who kept saying sarr was the “clear choice” or whatever
      Also saying Hunter can’t shoot is funny. He shot 38.5% from 3 on career high volume last year. I know people are down on him and i get it, but we gotta be accurate

    • @Sho-nuff427
      @Sho-nuff427 12 годин тому

      @@LockedOnHawks Brad….He is the 4th pick in the draft. He is a career 44 percent field goal shooter. Which is terrible! He is 36 percent career 3pt shooter. He was set up by 2 starting point guards in the league last year. He is SOFT and I see you didn’t defend the dribbling and the passing. So all in all those are facts.
      About Sarr…….You started out hot on Sarr. But it seemed like you died down on him after getting more information. And I know you weren’t high on Risasher. The guy who I listened to the most with these Foriegn players who spends a lot of time and knows these players is Jonathan Givony, who had him as his number one prospect. But much respect for you Brad. I listen to your show all the time. I’m glad we got Risasher though!!

    • @LockedOnHawks
      @LockedOnHawks  11 годин тому

      At no point was i talking about Sarr or anyone else as a clear number 1 pick. That was probably the thing i said most over the entire cycle.
      On Hunter, it no longer matters what pick he was. I hated the trade up for him when it happened and railed on it when it happened. But that’s all sunk cost now. Acting like he’s a bad shooter is silly but he does have obvious flaws and shortcomings that I’ve discussed for years

    I saw zacc will score when open, if he can do that he's worth the #1 pick, Trae set guys up for uncontested shots and they'll miss, if zacc can do that , I noticed when challenged he turned the ball over and missed shots, I like what I see😂😂 but the hawks did play their starters for 22 minutes and Indy 17 😂😂 the hawks were dominated by Indianas starters

    Hunter not a good rebounder ? As a Hawk fan from 1984 please get someone else to do you social media info this guy isn't a Hawk fan he repeats what other writers say about the team he covers .D Hunter is a great rebounder he always boxes out dude is so fun·da·men·tal·ly sound. It's even more annoying listening 2 his boring voice knowing he can't play sports speaking on a guy who literally carries his team to a national championship and has been the Hawks best defender 5 years straight .. smh

    • @eezy.knewsome
      @eezy.knewsome 3 години тому

      There is not a single metric that proves hunter is a great rebounder. He is below average In every single rebounding stat/metric. Also you're mad at the wrong guy, Brad is one of the only voices that consistently has mentioned how good Dre has been as a defender.
