"Believe me, it really is enormous in this thing!"
- Richard Hammond in every location he's in
(Jokes aside, the car is actually quite spacious! Even the rear seats give you plenty of room!)
Probably the best hot hatch ever
no 182 is
@Twongz_does_anything
Is that why you see a bunch of 182s around after all these years?
The background music is the true star of this car review, i can't focus on what hammonds saying because I'm too busy vibing out to the tunes
I have had a 2002 type r from new . I cannot ever sell that is how good this car is 56000 miles 1 owner fantastic!
Would you like to sell it?
Be worth some money keep mileage low and in good condition in few more years.
like this way more than the current gen civics look wise....
marc I no what you mean the new 1 looks like something from future farma
yeah it kinda looks just like a normal civic... kind of like the old audi sport variants. those sleepers you dont expect have something
The facelift one looks better though only way I could tell was from the front splitter.
@@dynamickhaoss1631 & headlights are different on facelift, and the rear lights too.
I like the 7th and 9th gen hatchbacks the most. The 8th gen has such a weird rear end, and it has way too much of that glass on the front and the rear.
Once you’ve owned one of these you will realise the hype is real.
Ive owned one for over 12 months its still so much fun. Lets just say a large amount if time is spent smiling even when keeping to the speed limits it sounds so good.
Feb 5th 2022...This 46 year old has had the mid life crisis and is picking up a 2004 EP3 next weekend 😁
@@jamesrobert4106 haha I'm sure you'll enjoy owning it,good investment now too, they're only gonna appreciate from now on 🙂👍🏻
@@notmanynamesleft Which is certainly nice. I have always believed in buying something because I am enthusiastic about it, rather than to make money, but definitely a bonus.
The markets are going silly with all used cars at the moment. But based on every other one out there, I have landed on a privately owned, fully serviced car with a recent cam belt change, which buyers guides state to look for.
It has got 101k on it, but given the age of them now, that is quite low. Many are still fetching good money with 170k miles and more.
VAUXHALL ..RENAULT AND SHITRON OWNERS PLEASE NOTE.... This car did OVER 220,000 MILES ..Yes I said 220,000 MILES before it went to car heaven .. How do I know this????
Because I was this cars final owner...
Arsene Wenger serious?
@@Mcfc2Rich Yep This car went to car heaven in 2014 I was the cars last owner .. Sadly Everything just went on the car ..The gearbox went and the sills both need to be replaced the suspension was starting to get weary as well ... The engine was still as sweet as a nut (As they always are)
It needed £2,000+ spending on the car ..So sadly I just let her go to car heaven..
She lasted 13 Years ... They are not designed to last forever sadly..
Yes they can always be fixed and fixed and then fixed again . But at what point do you say enough is enough ..
It did 222,000 Miles so she had a good life. I just hope she was not recycled as a Vauxhall LOL
Kind regards
220,000 miles isn't much for a Honda. I've seen vectras and insignias over 300,000 still running fine dude
@@dann756 what did he say? He said the engine was fine, the gearbox was fucked and something with his suspension. He COULD have fixed it. But he chose not to. But legend has it, that the engine is still running at the junkyard.
Deepak Doekharan or lives again in another car
love these cars even to today's standards there good and can get them for a good price Deffo one of hondas best
Still the best car Honda ever produced alongside the nsx
s2000?
huge in hammond's standards really doesn't mean much.
Is that you Mr Clarkson?
@@kobrien4121 could be mr. slowly too
@@harvardford8752 Why did they translate Captain Slow to "Mr. Slowly" in your country? lol
this thing is even better than its successors
Do you still believe this to be the case?
@@s888myrYes
I managed to wangle one as a company car in 2002, my Honda in a sea of boring ass Vectra SRI’s. Hammond is wrong about the air con it was a dealer fit option weirdly together with fog lights. I bought it off the company at 60,000 miles in 2004 for a song and kept it until 2007 zero problems great car!
This will be my first car
EP2 was my first. EP3 2nd
Good luck with insurance
@@hardcorehardo iknow
10k insurance
@@willbatho656 don't you worry about it 😂
fucking awesome car...haters gonna hate but this thing is nuts
Still mad we didn't get this in the states
that EP3 is got now
216,304 miles !!!!!
Still going strong
@@nassershahid7324 Nope, owner let it go. Gearbox gave up
what a shame ... mum was 167000 miles on clock.. never missed a beat.. 4 2 1 manifold with decat with a cold air intake.. dyno run made 227.9bhp
nearly run in
I wish it was back in insurance group 17 lmao
Just got a job again even with this covid19. Hopefully by November/December I should have enough to own one
Not sure Hammond saying it’s enormous inside means it truely is jk
The RSX Type-S here in Canada had a sunroof, cruise and AC.
I had the facelift version and it had a/c and fog lights 😁
Gr8 car but I heard facelifted EP3 is faster because of altered flywheel. Is this right? Or does it make no difference AG all? I wanna buy pre or facelift. Plesse help.Thanks.
Doesn't make a big difference.
No they are the same
@@notmanynamesleft Facelift DOES have a lighter flywheel, whether or not you can tell a difference is debatable.
@@_Professor_Oak you're talking a few grams fam, not noticeable
Facelift has a better looking front bumper (imo), different rear lights reworked front suspension, different steering ratio and a slightly lighter flywheel. Not a massive difference.
Is that a darude sandstorm remix I hear?
My favorite CTR. Light and K20A yum but why only 200 hp? JDM car has 220.
GT6SuzukaTimeTrials only Japan got the proper treatment. Other markets got a detuned engine and less toys
decent intake like a gruppe m and remap and you can walk past the jdm
That championship white as well 🤤
Red recaros
As far as im aware the extra hp on the jdm car makes no difference in the uk as fuel octane rating is lower. but damn does that LSD transform it!
Mine still going strong to this day
this vs renult clio 182
Did he say the Integra was ugly?
He is so young here :)
Oh dear God...Not that song (@ 0:52)
do you know what its called ?
It's not sandstorm if that's what you're thinking, a lot of songs sounded like that in 2001 🤣
Anyone Know the song?
OMG I REMEMBER MEN AND MOTORS / WAS ON BEFORE EUROTRASH
This car makes the FK8 looks like a ricer car!
some one knows the title of the background music?
Joey van der Weide 2pac hit em up
Tupac Shakur haha!!!
My ep2 has air con ?
i'm guessing Honda ditched a/c in the type-r to save weight. The a/c system does weigh a fair bit
@@eviits there are EP3 with a/c my ex EP3 facelift had one.
wish i could afford to insure this :(
wait till your 19/20 years old with 1 years ncb. then you'll get 1 or 2 providers who will play ball :)
@@Juniper458 I'm 21 and costs me 680 GBP with 1 years NC
MM168NSX lol bullshit I’m 21 with 4yrs no claims and it’s 1.2k for me...
@@chris51330 Your local area (crime rates), how many miles you're gonna do, and where you store the car at night, among other things will all affect insurance quotes, not to mention different insurers will offer differing prices too...
Albus Dumbledore I live in Buckinghamshire and it’s kept in a locked garage
Was a nice car back in 2001. Now it looks old.
Almost like it's a 20 year old design
it has AC .. Dumb Hammod :D
lol he said its huge
Darude - Sandstorm
...was nowhere in this video 😂
@@_Professor_Oak I don't even remember why I put this comment here.
🤣
looks about 12 lol
taff_G1 He's the size of one too
Honda... hold on dear arse
This car hasn't been on the road in 7years 🙈🙈
This car went to sleep February 2014.
notmanynamesleft or is being tracked
@@jordanroberts4996 true, didn't consider that!
Good car expect it's driven by the absolute worst people.
Seat Leon FR gets that award
Ugly Integra?
Wow what a crappy review. Car shows have really improved since the 2000s
Oh,my god, how tacky this presentation is... :D
Damned ugly Integra?
This video is so corny
