@@Caleboosauruscare to then explain how road warrior made 23.6m on a 2mil production budget (11+ times its budget) and is a “semi hit” while thunderdome made 36mil on a 10 mil budget (3.2 times) and is a “hit”? This is not counting the numerous awards but you scolded the OP on “how things work” and cited budget vs profit yet you are completely incorrect lol😂. Also Mrs Soffel made 4.3 mil (not 43mil) on a 11mil budget is a “super hit”? It was a complete commercial flop. So @djjess95533 apparently knows exactly “how this works” but you don’t lol
Hard to believe that The Bounty flopped. Considering that it was a good movie and it was stacked with talent. It had Gibson, Liam Neeson, and Anthony Hopkins. Then again compared to Braveheart and the Lethal Weapon series, The Bounty was slower and more methodical so maybe that's a reason why the average moviegoer didn't watch it. It also came out in 1984. Among its competition we can name Ghostbusters, Terminator, Gremlins, Beverly Hills Cop, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Karate Kid, Footloose, Police Academy, among others. With 1984 being a year stacked with future classic films, The Bounty had no chance.
There was the one where he was looking for revenge on a man who killed him too, Pay it Forward or Kill Back or something like that in the late 90s. It was brilliant. All about getting even with someone who killed you to death but you didn't die and then got revenge.
What was the one he was in about planes? The one with Tom Cruise, was it BestJets or something like that? He was Goose and the other was Magnum or something and Mel Gibson was Cat or something. I can't remember it and it's annoying me.
The Bounty was an amazing film, loaded with talent.
Calling the road warrior a semi hit and Mrs stoffel a super hit threw me off 😂
Obviously you dont know how this works. It will be determine on how much they spent and budget making the film and profit ok.

I quite liked Blood Father.
The Beaver was such a wonderful little film too. It's not the high octane usual he excels at, but Mel has serious acting chops.
Brilliant actor .
The bounty was class 👏
Ransom was a fantastic movie

Agreed. Bounty was a solid movie. I’m in hell sirrr
Goddam your hide, Mr. Christian.
Where is Hacksaw Ridge 2016 and passion of Christ
Amazing movie
He directed them. This list appears to be movies he starred in. That's why Braveheart (directed/starred) is on here.
@@Siege924 that’s what I was thinking until I seen Paparazzi which he only made a cameo and was just a producer
@@archersmith869are you dumb? Cameo - acting.
Hacksaw Ridge underrated. Gallipoli also a classic.
Good work bro. Subscribed 🎉❤
Some of hit bombs are some of my favorites. Payback, Edge of Darkness, Professor and the Madman, etc.
Superstar
With some of these earnings, I feel it's your opinion what a hit and flop is.
Actually enjoyed both the Bounty...and the Professor and the Madman.
Loved maverick as a kid
Dragged across concrete with Vince Vaughn is a good movie...We were Soldiers still my personal favourite
No The Passion or Apocalypto?
Directed not acted
I was thinking the same thing because in the title it didn't specify either way
you should learn to respect.
Watching this, I can kind of tell when I went from caring about movies to not paying any attention to movies…
Fatman was not a bad Christmas film but I think it was pretty good with all the killing and stuff.
Doesn't sound very wholesome.

You mean Payback?
Edge of darkness is a great movie 🎬
Maybe I missed it. How are we calculating direct-to-streaming?
The Patriot and Braveheart are ATBs!!! Both are in my top 10 movies of all time!!!!
No they aren't. Lol
They are great movies but top ten All time are you nuts?
Mad Max 2 His Best !

What does "ATB" stand for?
all time blockbusters
Why were some of the movies repeated?
Air America
Weird how old they made them both seem in LW4, wasnt even that long after the first one.
I saw Danny Glover at LAX right before LW4 was released. He was walking with a cane and very slowly..
Haven't really heard of the last 10 or so.
Watching these has made me realize that hits has nothing to do with quality.

@@bestactresslifestory ahhh that makes more sense
Actually mad max was a critical failure road warrior was a cult hit and beyond the thunderdome was a semi hit
Confidential informer made 120 million dollars...thats absolute bullshit
How will u sleep nights!?...
I decided to look it up and yeah it wasn't even close to $120 million
Gibson would be held in the same esteem as Pacino & De Niro, if he didn't come out as a Jew & black hater
Summer city was absolute garbage
