This is very educational and “matter of fact”. I love how she genuinely cares for the animals. ❤️
What would be very useful if she could name a few brands or what does she use.
There's one on the Mercola site that she apparently helped develop. I have used it and like it ok.
However, the one I use most is 4 Legger shampoo. I get the unscented one but there are other scent options (one has oatmeal though). I really like 4 Legger. Read the story of the woman at 4 Legger and why she came to develop the products. She has also paired with Dr Shelton (of AnimalEO). You can add some of Dr Shelton's essential oil blends to the unscented shampoo to suit your needs. And 4 Legger regularly does sales/deals.
Check out Dermagic all natural products. The reviews speak for themselves! I especially love the Peppermint Tea Tree Oil Shampoo Bars for my chronic yeasty schnauzer. They are gentle enough for daily use, they lather with very little effort and they last forever.
@@taserthis1984 That bar soap looks interesting. I'm bookmarking it for the next time that I need shampoo.
agree
Good advice! Thanks.
I wouldn't dream of going to the pet store unless and until I've watched your videos first. Thanks.
I appreciate and follow Dr. Becker quite a lot and I'm glad she doesn't hype her own (Dr. Mercola Pets.com) products in this video. Perhaps they are the best products out there, but not many can afford $22 for an 8 oz. bottle of dog shampoo! One could probably make a gallon of the stuff with the proper recipe....... google google.
Dr Becker can u name a brand for a dog’s shampoo for itchyness please, I have a 1 year old maltipoo
Remember kids, look for a shampoo that doesn't have ingredients in that you can't pronounce
I just ordered the Wondercide shampoo bar - hypoallergenic. Do you think that one is ok?
My chihuahua/Pom mix was diagnosed with being allergic to grass & put on a daily medication, does anyone else deal with the same issue & have a natural shampoo recommendation to cut out the daily meds?
What natural remedy to give dogs for all the chemicals in the air ????
Need your advice. We are raw feeders with our dogs and follow everything you educate us about. Thank you. We live in Utah and have a 6 y.o intact male GSD with a 2nd prostatitis infection within 3 months. Recommendation from Vet is castration.
On another note, I was quoted $450 for a rabies titer so in front of her I Googled Kansas State rabies titer and the recording played $30 for rabies titer and then $50 for rabies plus 3 other titers. And she told me that they send their rabies titers to Kansas State?
What did you end up doing? Rabies titer is to avoid over-vaccinating them, right?
Haven't used it on my cats but I'm always curious if Dr. Bronners UNSCENTED/Baby Safe Castille Soap would be ok.
Probably not because it would be BRUTAL if it accidentally got in your kitty's eye! That stuff stings like you can't believe.
I realize just bc the ingredients are safe for babies doesn't mean its safe for cats.
My question is- is there such a thing as an organic, no chemical conditioner??? If so, I'd LOVE to know of it!!!!!!
Burt's Bees Organic Oatmeal Shampoo & Conditioner.
@@phondo2 She said not to use oatmeal
How do I make a passport for my pet
Have only used vinegar, shiny coats, naturally keeps fleas away.
I only use a dog shampoo that leaves my pet's fur soft and managable with just the right amount of bounce....
Do you know how hard it is to get a short-haird Dauschund's fur to bounce?!?
I use Burts Bee's Organic Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner.
Need to find a book about how to make healthy food that Dr. Becker approves of.
We bought Dr. Becker's book: Real Food for Healthy Dogs and Cats. We have followed her recipes for our dog for 18 months. Highly recommend!!
Dr Becker wrote a book; Dr Becker's Real Food for Healthy Dogs & Cats.
I understand that she was working on an update to the book but haven't seen that its been published. Be prepared to take a lot of time to read through the book from front to back to understand why she recommends what she does (it's not just a recipe book). I had to have my husband read the book and we talked about things that didn't readily make sense to me. I highly recommend her book.
You might also try one of Dr Judy Morgan's books... she has several. I haven't read any of them but I love Dr Morgan also. These integrative vets who provide information to those of us that aren't close enough to their clinics to be patients are heroes in my book!
@@naplescajun great info! My dog and cat say thank you! I will go to her ste and look for it 🐱🐶💖
@@cityofoaks great! Thank you!
Humans should use dog shampoo
