Does this work for someone that’s just trying to study before medic school? Or do you need some type of knowledge? I checked paramedic coach website but all it has is recert or refreshers.
In emt phase now and we’re split into am shift and pm shift because of the rona to keep class size small. For pm shift our classes are from 1400-2300. It sucks but we have good teachers!
Hey Ben, great video! I just finished the EMT course at my local community college, and it was awesome. Waiting on a medical waiver to get approved so I can enlist as a 68W. You're knowledge and insight has been extremely helpful throughout my process. Keep up the good work!
Are you currently in AIT ft Sam Houston?? My husband graduates next Thursday from BCT & is supposed to be there Nov 1st, what’s it like with phones & communication, visitations + covid ? Any info would be great!!! God bless !
I was an Infantry Man, OJT Medic, back on the Korean DMZ, and 4 tours in V N . I was a typical Infantry Soldier, with some OJT Med Training, Two functions , I believe I did well, With some wavers, I qualified to go on to an almost a year long Medical Training and did well I believe. Still ended up in Infantry Assignments anyway. But never sell yourself short.
I just got here. Expect your reception to be quarantine if you aren’t vaccinated. Also, prisoners will have more time outside than you will. But hey. The food is decent
Congratulations on your new subscribers. Keep this content coming. It's extremely helpful. I'm so excited for this MOS because it transfers well in the civilian life.
Was about to start my very first class yesterday but no...got diagnosed with COVID and sent to Lackland in quarantine instead 😂 Got time to review my new beloved Textbook 🤷🏻♀️
Have you tried the new ACFT yet? I’ve been looking at the standards and see 68W is in the significant category. I don’t ship until February of 2021 but I want to start preparing now. I’ll be 68W in the reserves.
If you are emt certified, you will be placed in a company that is just starting whiskey phase (keep in mind this could take awhile, possibly 6 weeks.) for our accelerants, it took them about 3 weeks. If you are not certified, you have to go through everything again
Ben could you help a guy out Im studying a couple of books but I'm worried about passing, I ship out in May but I want to make sure I nail this, what's the apps you used?
As a civilian with an EMT-B, I wonder if that would help me get 68W at all. I realize I'd still have to take the ASVAB but I wonder if there is anyway that my EMT-B could have any sway?
Hey Ben, I’m working on joining the CO Army National Guard as a 68W currently. I’ve been an EMT since 2011, and had my IV certification since about 2013. My experience as such has mostly been trauma related, working as a professional full time ski patroller, on a hike where we are allowed to work up to our scopes, and have ALS patrollers as well. I’m currently in nursing school, and will graduate, and will take my NCLEX nursing licensing exam prior to going off to basic training. Some question I have: 1. I let my NREMT lapse, but still have my CO state license. I know if I get my NREMT back, I can enlist as an E-4. Is that worth it? 2. What should I expect, will be expected of me? Will the cadre treat me differently because of my EMT experience/nursing knowledge? And how would you recommend I prepare for that, to be successful and helpful to my fellow classmates. 3. If I do get my NREMT back before shipping out to basic, will I have to take the NREMT again at the end of EMT phase? Thanks Ben, great videos!
As someone who still has a while till I can join the military what is the best way to prepare to be a 68w? Because in my school I'm taking a course where I will graduate with my emt. Will that affect AIT?
jacob if it’s just a state certification, you won’t skip emt phase. If it’s a national certification there’s a good chance you can skip 8 weeks of AIT. Again, there’s no absolutes and things are subject to change. You can buy the emt and whiskey book online
Just to let you know I still want to serve my country. I have a burning passion for my nation and my American family. I want to help people in need and quell those who do evil acts.
I really tried for going into the national army guard. I had heart surgery when I was 4 months old. I was working with my recruiter to provide and answer everyrhing truthful. He told me they would take care of all the document payments. We got the first medical documents from my surgery then we had to get secondary documents. He told me I had to pay for them I had no job at the time I didnt really know what to tell the recruiter I thought we would continue I really wanted to proceded with this he just stopped talking to me. It really messed with me.
Hope you all like the 68W content, what else do you wanna see? 🤔🇺🇸 Also, be sure to Like & Subscribe! 💯
Question? Can you skip the emt phase if you already have the NREMT cert? Whats the process in that case like?
Hey Ben! Quick Quetion. Im a EMT-B already so how would that affect my AIT?
Yo future 68Ws look up paramedic coach he will help with basically everything.
For reals! He’s the best!

I can confirm that we still use that book for 68W EMT phase. I'm in Whiskey phase currently. Keep the great videos coming!
Will do!
