This is so beautiful. I can hear so much of the ancestral connection between classic and modern American blues and African-American music in general in the last songs sang by the group of women. I think it was a remarkable choice to end the record with those songs. The whole time I was visualizing the women, singing, dancing, aligning to their essence.
I see they are performing with dear friends of mine, the Alash Ensemble, on their upcoming US tour. If I still lived in the States I would definitely go see them at that concert. Best of luck!!!
