I agree. I had two cousins who were in a similar accident on Easter Sunday 1997. Their car went under the trailor of a semi and one was killed instantly and the other died later that day at the hospital. That woman in the clip was one of the lucky ones.
I remember watching a show on one of the science tv channels back in high school (late 90's/early 00's) that was about how they created stunts and special effects for movies and TV shows. One of the episodes featured the stunt coordinator and special effects supervisor for Rescue 911 and they were interviewed at length, they talked all about how they filmed the show and how they preserved the realism of every recreation by doing all the effects and stunts live in camera. One of the segments actually featured behind the scenes footage of them filming the accident scene in this story shot from a secondary camera on the camera truck that was filming the recreation of the accident itself. I wish I could remember the name of the show itself but the interview was actually quite fascinating because they explained how they filmed different events and even showed off their "boneyard" of wrecked cars that had been used in recreations of car accidents along with some behind the scenes footage of them burning a house down to film a house fire segment.
Jane's car was caught in a truck, sparked, exploded, and Jane got burned, so she was treated at the US burn center. When you drive a car, I hope that you look closely at it and drive. Jane, cheer up!^^ If there is a video center in the US, there are many video hospitals in Korea.~~ Thank you for saving Jane's life in the U.S. American guy ^^ There are a lot of burn hospitals in Korea, too.^^
I guess that is one reason I like this show: it restores my faith in mankind to see how many good people are willing to help in an emergency. From that conflagration, it really took a set to go get into the wreckage and pull her out ! And how do they get these re-enactments so realistic ? Some of them must have been pretty high-budget to re-create.
Thank you Allgood 2000 for uploading this and all the other episodes this a few others bring back memories from when I was a kid and used to tape Rescue 911 on Vhs.
It's been 30 years since this happened so Jane is 65 now. I’m sure she’ll always hold a place in her heart for those who risked their lives for her. She resembles Alice from "The Brady Bunch". When I saw Jane's car go under the semi truck, I saw terrified. This happened on a Friday. Thank goodness she survived.
@amez4life everytime i read a comment or hear someone stick up for someone who's gay, black or anything like that i like to take a moment and thank them. thank you amez4life
Exactly! And what difference does it make if she's a lesbian or not? What matters is that she's alive. I swear, some people today have become so overly critical about the sexual orientation, race, and other little tidbits of a person that they don't get to see the real them.
@@prolilgamer9233 Honestly ya should. Having driven trucks, though I wasnt good at it, it actually feels quite unsafe having little cars boxing me in. I hated having to constantly wonder if there was a car in my blind spot somewhere. I usually would be quite slow to get over, because I think one of my biggest fears is in fact killing someone cuz I missed a tiny detail like a car in a blind spot. It’s been 33 years since this happened. At the time, I was 8 and one month away from my ninth birthday and my brother Andrew was 6 3/4 turning 7. We were living in Fountain Hills, Arizona. We lived in the mountain time zone. If it was 10 PM in Georgia, it was 7 PM in Arizona. Something tells me we were getting ready for bed.

I used to drive over the road truck and people seldom survived an accident such as this and there were a lot of them. The interstate highways are overcrowded almost anywhere you go. I avoid them wherever possible.
I can't agree with you more. Something like this happened to one of my friends. Her car, a race car that was kinda flat like this convertible, slipped underneath an 18-wheeler during a heavy rain on a highway. She died.
Yeah, I'm guessing they wanted to show more footage of the stunt. Even though the actual event was probably pretty scary, the stunt done for the re-enactment looks pretty awesome on camera.

@NDW85 you would be amazed how easy it is to fall asleep at the wheel one of my jobs is in transportation and we get in SO much trouble if the boss finds out we are driving tired. he was a truck driver for years himself and saw what driving tired can do to people behind such a fast piece of machinery.
I drive tractor trailer and I certainly don't want this to happen. I have seen cars go right into the rear of the trailers and nothing left of the car. This truck driver did everything right stopping the rig straight. It's not his fault at all.
I heard someone say what's the mile marker; back then the exit #'s in Georgia were not numbered by the mile marker, now they are just like all the other states except VT,NH,CT,MA,DE,RI, and NY.
wow.Had a couple of close calls with falling asleep myself.Luckily I woke up,when the tires started hobbling over the shoulder. One rest area awake and ready to drive 200 more miles,20 minutes later eyelids made of lead and nowhere to pull over...
thats so scary. This happened to my new brother in law, the truck driver was drunk and came over into his lane and crushed his car. He died instantly they had only been married for 27 days. The truck company settled with my sister for more than a million dollars.
If I was there I will help poor lady and save her life as I know first aid so well since I learned first aid course in singapore and I am still learning more first aid
convertibles are nice to drive because there is no roof, but sometimes they are scary when you think of what would happen. My biggest worry is flipping and breaking my neck
Is it just me, or is there NO shoulder on that highway? There was definitely some safety issues with the highway there - a paved shoulder with rumble strips (the norm today) could have awakened her and prevented at least getting under as she could have steered it back some. Also the traffic volumes there probably warrant 6 lanes.
It happened in real life where I work and it WASN'T pretty. I won't say anything further because I doubt a general audience could handle knowing what it looked like. But I WILL say it happened while he was trying to send a text message. I swear on a stack of bibles I CAN'T understand why people continue to send text messages while driving.
+Vicki Bee Well, thank god you would never catch me doing something stupid and dangerous like texting and driving. If I'm driving and someone sends me a text message, I just wait until I get to my destination and then I text someone back. I guess i can forgive it since it was the 90's but jeez it made me cringe when they said they called her good friend. Just say it why the hell do you have to beat around the bush.
That is correct. Usually you shouldn’t move anyone who is injured especially if they fell or were in a car wreck as they may have sustained a injury to the back or spine and if you move them then it could make the injury worse by breaking it even further. However if there is a immediate life threatening danger to either you or the victim such as in this case if the vehicle that they are in is on fire or if they are on a street or road with oncoming traffic then you should move the victim to a safe area where they can be treated. The person who moved her made the right decision as if she had remained in the vehicle then she would almost certainly have died and by moving her from the burning vehicle he likely saved her life.

Literally what I was thinking
