I absolutely love Amouage! I just recently got into fragrances and I absolutely fell in love with the house. It’s so beautiful! I feel almost Royal wearing it!
This is such an amazing scent, it took me a long while to get my nose to love it, at first it was off putting to me, but now its one of my favourite scents, definately a night time fragrance, almost tied with Jubilation XXV which is my no. 1, for day time I still love Reflection Man (another amazing polished fresh perfume), Overture man is a little bit harder on the nose because of the Cogñac and slightly stronger blend of scents. so if you can handle slightly strong perfumes like Jubilation XXV you will love Interlude Black Iris. To me there is nothing that comes close, but i havn't tried Dior Homme Parfume, only the regular Dior Homme 2020 which is not even close.
Amouage Black Iris is an amazing top-tier fragrance! I can see the comparison with Dior Homme Parfum (which I am wearing at the moment). Same family, but the Amouage is much richer and deeper. This is not a shy fragrance. You will project and be the center of attention wherever you go!

I own the Dior and I find it really powdery in a good way, from the day I bought it I've been wearing it often. How is interlude compared to it and did you try the black iris?
Interlude man one of my favourite winter and cold weather fragrance, and that was my first fragrance from Amouage house and i love all that journey from opening till the base.So i don't think to buy Interlude Man Black Iris, but definitely would like to try a sample 👌

I thought the OG was far too sweet for my liking. No one seems to mention that in reviews. I love Dior Homme Parfum, but I'd rather my niche purchases were pretty unique, so may give this a miss.
That's why I don't listen to reviewers anymore. I used to listen to Demi, Jeremy, etc. and I got myself a bunch of designer bottles that I never used, which I sold. They are all being paid to promote fragrances and say it's "amazing" and "great" and whatever. Not saying it's a bad thing for them to get paid to promote, but their credibility is lackluster now. The best thing will always be for you to try it yourself and see if you like the fragrance.
Really appreciate this Demi! Was excited for this release and I'm happy you're one of the first to give us your take. I wasn't a big fan of the original either so this sounds like a step up.
Awesome video, I've tried almost every Amouage. The fragrance I think would fit your personality is The Longing by House of Matriarch. It's very strong and out there but it's one of my absolute favorites hands down. If you get a chance you should try it.

Hi Demi, there's another version which is "Interlude 53" it has almost the same DNA but at same time a bit different from the original Interlude and Black Iris, the performance is, I believe, stronger and louder. I'd love to have your opinion on this! Great video though.

I own every amouage man its my favorite house I am very interested in this one I am a bit disappointed they are doing a flanker and not an original release but the original interlude is amazing it's in my top 5, I really hope this is good Especially since this is the debut of their new creative director, I can't wait to try it
I think they did it just so they have a more tamed version of Interlude, because the OG is so potent and sharp which may put off some people, and Interlude is one of their bestsellers so it makes sense to make a more wearable version under the same name, and honestly black iris is an ass clapper 10/10
I felt the same about the original Interlude Man. I appreciate the artistry but it just was not for me. The heavy oregano came off strangely savory like seasoning for meat. If they’ve found a way to tame that note in this new offering I could definitely get on board. I’m especially excited to see how the orris root operates in the composition given how much I enjoy the creaminess it also gives to Reflection Man. Great review, can’t wait to try!
I miss the old days of Amouage. They had so many hits; reflection man, jubilation xxv, epic man, interlude man, etc. People were blown away by this house back then. They haven't made a hit in a while so my fingers are crossed for this one!
Amouage is not so strong brand nowadays. This reformulations they did with Interlude, Jubilation XXV and Opus VI are soooo sad 😥😥😥 they are still beautiful but not so powerful like about 5years ago ✌️

They say the formula has not been changed, they explained that older fragrances macerate more time and that's the reason for the difference in performance. Could this be true?
Maybe you can order online when the Covid19 situation settles? Perhaps they would deliver a sample to your location? Maybe not straight away, but eventually people sell all kinds of samples on ebay if Amouage themselves dont ship worldwide
We actually do have Amouge in South Africa. I normally buy mine online at these 3 stores in SA, skin cosmetics ( online skins.co.za) or Edgars cosmetics (www.edgars.co.za) also at Rio perfumes which is much cheaper than the other 2 (www.rioperfumes.co.za). However it's better to buy in store as they have a wider range of Amouge than online and their online database is not regularly updated as sometimes it says out of stock while they have stock in stores. Not sure if they deliver outside South Africa.

Well, Im gonna buy a few back up bottles for each of the main line, because the new CEO" looks pretty "crazy" and unsuiatable for such a great historical Middle eastern fragrance house... There is a story behind of every Amouage perfume release and its NOT about pleasnteness... We do not care at all about anything Mainstream from this house
