Koiai are quickly establishing a unique sound of their own. Not surprising given the huge talent these ladies have. Always look forward to a new track from this band.
Koiai is such an amazing band. This song blew me away. I recall watching a short video Lisa X uploaded on X, demonstrating that guitar solo. The face she made to mimic the sound of the guitar was hilarious. She has a very fun personality, You will notice her smiling a lot while performing.
I think they are still looking for _their_ 'sound'. I'm pretty excited to see/hear what happens when they 'find it'!
❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘HOLY SH*T !!! I have been playing guitar probably only a few years less then you and i cannot wrap my brain around what these two are doing with their fingers i can't even focus on them it is a super sonic blur .
Pretty much my favorite live performance of the year so far - Hazuki and Lisa-X unleash a barrage of extreme technique in the most musical way, while Kanade threads all this together with such precision - amazing! Kotono manages the perfect vocal here. She really has a unique approach, given the obvious metal-ness of everything else. And let’s not forget Wakazaemon on bass - called in at short notice and sight-reading an entire sets-worth of Lisa-X crazy!!! I only wish they would write more tracks similar to this beauty! 🤘🎸🔥

I wasn't sure if some of the MC was scripted or not, like when Kotono didn't introduce the rest of the members and Hazuki made a fuss about it.

@@RichZee777. Scripted? To be honest I normally purchase at least 2 Blu-rays from bands I really enjoy. Now I may be confusing this with another band, so take this with a grain of salt. If I recall correctly, their pre-sales sold out immediately, which was a little upsetting. As a foreigner we generally are not allowed pre-sales as many artists (record label) only except credit cards issued in Japan and PayPal apparently doesn’t allow pre-sales. I guess it has something to do with the variability of exchange rates, but I could be wrong. I was ecstatic to learn Koiai reserved some disks for the official release date making it possible for foreigners to purchase. I jumped on the opportunity in the middle of the night and only purchased one to be respectful of others. Those also sold out in 24 hours. I normally purchase multiple disks to support the band and leave one in the pristine wrapper. I actually haven’t opened my only disk to keep it as a cherished item. After reading the comment, I’m going to have to break down and open it. 💙💙💙

This is BY A COUNTRY MILE the best track on the blu-ray ! It's innovative , it's interesting , and it shows their talents to the max . The juxtaposition of the vocals with the music is brilliant ( and as you said VERY reminiscent of Supertramp ) .

Thanks for doing more of Koiai. They are just geniuses. To do something so wonderful and bizarre at the same time, at such young ages, is just crazy.
At first I really didn't like Kotono's vocals. Since I really did like Li-sa X & Hazuki's old vocalist from the Li-sa-X band. But Kotono is winning me over.
This song sounds like something Supertramp would of done if they had a shredder guitarist. Only thing missing is a brass instrument of some type.
Would love to see Koiai become big. But I also would like to see Nemophila get big too. In a way I wish it was Hazuki instead of Saki that left Nemophila. Hazuki is a wonderful guitarist on her own. But Li-sa X & Huzuki mesh very well together. Afraid Huzuki would get burned out from the demands of two bands. That we will lose two good bands instead of just one.
