I don't know why a man in his 50s playing the the role of a hero who died in his early 20s
Business 💰
Exactly they should be cast young actor or he should deny this role
Paisa hi paisa
Exactly my point 🤣😑😭
He died at 26:late 20s....
Rajat tokas's role as prithviraj chauhan and Akbar is still unmatched in Indian tv. He was so good in both the shows....
Yahh his acting was unbeatable
I still remember drooling over him while the shows were on air
@@a1124 Exactly he gave 100% justice to his role which is lacking in Bollywood's so-called famous actor Akshay kumar
Sadly after that he becomes a ichadari nevla and haven't seen him after that
That man is just amazing
Things which are missing -
1) The rajasthani accent.
2) The look of the king.

I can’t seem to unsee Akshay’s “Bala” character from Houseful 4 in this portrayal and his dialogue in the teaser resonates a lot like that he said in Rowdy Rathod “Jo main bolta hoon woh mein karta hoon”…I found the tone same!
I can’t seem to find Akshay believable in a period film like this. Movies like this requires some serious commitment & dedication. Actors literally have to live these characters in real life to be able to bring them alive and believable on the screen. We have examples like Ranveer Singh as Bajirao and Khilji, Prabhas as Bahubali, even Hrithik as Akbar. Akshay with his look here does not give me much of Prithviraj’s vibe here honestly!
Omg! You're right. 😭😭😭😭😭
Same😂
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Same lol
spo true... it didn't feel like a serious look distinctive than bala..
Even kangana as Jhansi rani
Jammy the way Manushi Chillar's entry scene is filmed instantly made me realise how hard Sanjay Leela Bhansali worked on everything from aesthetics , music to costumes & How under appreciated Deepika Padukone is for her regal , gritty and elegant portrayal of Mastani & Padmavati...
Sorry but she was never underappreciated lmao. She's rightly held as one of the best actresses for the royal roles. If anything she's rightly and deservedly appreciated.
@@anonmyiyy7344 visit any Bajirao Mastani video , you will find comments related to Priyanka Chopra only
@@anonmyiyy7344 exactly.Infact,Padmavat was only appreciated for its art direction, costumes, looks of the characters and less for its storytelling.
For me , Akshay Kumar is MARUTI SUZUKI of Bollywood , High on quantity low on quality in terms of acting , he is like the same person in most of his films (but still loved by masses) but I have huge respect for his dedication and hardwork
Ikr!!! After being a die-hard fan of deepika's regal and raw performance in historical movies, manushi just looks so stiff.
When he lifted manushi, it looks like a father is caring her daughter. Not to forget the age gap of 30 years. As Akshay is 54 and Manushi is 24
😂
What 🤯🤯🤯
This is the problem with bollywood movies 😏
naurrr 😭
But look at the jawline of ak , actually he's look like under 30 age guys.
Honestly, Manushi Chhillar looked like a budget Padmavati (Even though she’s actually a gorgeous woman)
Yea! I felt the costumes dint seem of the era. They felt very modern.
Monisha Pushpanathan yea the lehenga looked like it was picked from a Sabyachi store
6 years from now Manushi will be too old to do lead opposite Akshay Kumar. #sadlife

Even Rajat Tokas was more convincing as king and warrior in "Prithviraj Chauhan" TV show (2006)
he did a fabulous job! Even the actress playing Sayongita's role was fabulous and gave more expressions compared to Manushi... Even to this day, the work done by Rajat and Mugdha (the actress playing sayongita) is remembered and cherished by many!
That was a great show. The treasure hunt arc was the best.
They were awesome in that show. Still one of my favourites.
Not only just convincing....he was best in that role...
He was Brilliant!
Prithviraj was a teenager when married and died at the age of 26. At that small age he conquered and achieved everything. So casting a 54 year old actor and above that the amount of effort he decided to put is utter disregard to the legend.
Sir actually you are wrong he was 43 when he died. Born in 1149 and died in 1192
@@harshitthapliyal7277 no he is right... Prithvi raj chauhan was a minor when he became the king at 1177 AD. And at the last battle of tarain his age was 26.

No one can beat the acting of Rajat Tokas when it comes to any historical character roles....
Yaa, saw him in Jodha akbar and man, whenever I remember akbar while referencing something, his face comes first.
He brings those characters to life🔥.
Be it prithviraj chahun, jodha akbar Or chandragupta, he is super amazing❤❤

Horse riding is not like riding a bike. The passanger has to sit in the front of the rider and not on the back as if they are riding Royal Enfield 😂

Yeah that Rajat Tokas one was such a masterpiece. The actress playing Sanyogita(Mugdha Chaphekar) did a fantastic job as well. Looks like Akshay just wraps up shooting on one movie set and casually goes on to other movie set like it's a routine for him. I have yet to witness a movie project from Akshay in which he has really put his heart, soul and effort into a character, not just doing it for the namesake.

What pains the most is that India's rich cultural history is so easily butchered just for a few bucks. Such cash grabs are not only a 'Kalank' to Indian cinema but also to the person on whom the movie is based on. Patriotism is not something which should be condemned, but its portrayal in cinema has changed over time. It has become more subtle. Sardar Udham is the best example for that. I just do not understand why these actors agree to do such roles.
Do they have dignity?
What a shame. One of the biggest SAMRAT of Indian History. This cringe man isn't gonna do justice.
I just hope that bollywood will not be making any movie on Legendary Maharana Pratap anytime sooner.
True.
True
Akshay dadaji only wants money, he doesn't really care about the movie, he just makes average movies which collect average collection on box office, it's like instead of 1 magnificent movie, he does 4 average forgettable movies per year
Kangana as Manikarnika, Ranveer in bajirao are great examples of transforming and dedicating yourself for the role
Dear Akshay,
Quality is always superior over Quantity.
Providing a variety in scripts must also include providing a variety in Performances.
Well he usually do look him in Kesari ,gold where he needs to be complete in character and I think people should have wait for the trailer
This comment should be pinned
If you're looking for quality over quantity
HRX has made only 25 films till date ( excluding cameos ) in a 21 year career, around the no of films ranbir kapoor has done in 13 .
@@KrishanKumar-ec1ch Bro No nuances in a character in Gold and Kesri....like AKSHAY kumar is a star now he should wait and give time to his character......It's a character driven film.....you need to give atleast some time for prep and it's not like, okay I like the script and boom after 15days shooting starts.

Character being popular than the actor.
The first example that comes in my mind is Pratik Gandhi in Scam 1992.
He made Harshad Mehta more popular than every scamster ever in the country.
He does 4 movies in a year. He doesn't work on Sundays and has a fixed working hour in a day. To play this type of role I think you need to give more time. I think Shahid Kapoor best suits for this.
Just my opinion 😇😊
Rajat Tokas will always be Prithviraj Chauhan for me…hands down! Manushi chillar looks stale in expression, wondering has she completed her mbbs yet?Tho I really admire her
Bolti to h break lia h wapis jayegi baad me

Rajat Tokas was way too good, and perfect as Prithvi!! I still remember those fight scenes, horse riding, and just the look .. the long hair and the face totally made him look like a prince!
Without doubt even as a child actor he gave his 100% to the role!
I think that's the affect of his dedication, acting and performance, audiences have never forgotten him as Prithvi even after so many years!
akshay kumar's dailogue delivery sounds more of Ravdi-rathod than Prithviraj!!! Casting of Akshay kumar in old periodic film, doesn't feel appealing. also the look of akshay kumar falls flat!!!
Yeh "Prithviraaj" film aur kuch kare na kare, History Students ko chutiya zaroor banaygi!😅
Previously, Akki was the King of Comedy & Actions in Bollywood!🔥
Now he's only a Patriotism-Salesmen!
& this hurts!🙃
I remember an old 1990 era DD series by the name "Main Dilli Hoon" from my secondary school days which chronicled the life of Prithviraj Chauhan in few episodes. If my memory serves right, it was a slick and realistic take on the warrior's life with minimum most melodrama. The guy who played Ghori in that series had an intimidating persona.
Actors like srk, hritik carries that larger than life aura which make them exceptional
But aamir is better than all of them when we talk about Larger than life movies!
@@invisibleuser8491 No man, I love Aamir but as someone who really know about cinema (i literally stud that) i perfectly can admit that Aamir is not a better actor than Shah Rukh Khan but yes he is far better than Hrithik. @@msdian9799 ohh calm down dude. I just said what I felt. Bollywood is just filled with cringe and cleche jokes.
@@msdian9799 What do you think about the Niel Nitin Mukesh joke in Housefull4 and the things he did in Laksmi.
Honestly akshay is just killing his own brand value by doing so many films one after the other. And it's not that he brings something new to the table as a performer he is just the same. his voice texture, walking style, expressic nuances remains the same irrespective of whatever character he plays. Personally the most irritating part for me is when he announces one film every month i mean look at it the guy has ten twelve releases lined up and he doesnt want to stop. Overexposure and overworking has visibly taken a toll on him, he has started looking quite haggard and aged since Good News. Another thing that irritates me a lot is that he has to forcefully instil a romantic track and a duet no matter what the film is about.
It seems like Akshay kumor came on set and wore his costume and started doing anything ,Prithviraj Chauhan is an important Historical figure and I it's terrible how the teaser looks
Akshay kumar is like a student who focuses more on time than questions in his exams.
Akshay is rather "Maruti Suzuki' of Bollywood ; consistent , loved by the masses but low on Quality
Deep
Aur dusre ka answer chapne me
Itni filme to remake hi ha canadian kumar ki
What I love about these films is they make us appreciate Bhansali's work even more, especially the way Ranveer and Shahid delved into their roles.
And he takes pride in the fact that he wraps up too many films in a year. This guy is basically quantity over quality. Just walks up on set and gets done with one scene after another without any kinda prep. At this point I've gained more respect for Bhai than this dude.
Nobody does ancient better than SLB i desperately wish that it was him and the cast hed choose
Akshay seriously needs to rethink his film choices🤦
This film is a superb selection tbh...... But it needs time which akshay didn't provide
His film choices are more or less interesting but the question is, the investment of time? How long will it work just to be in and out of films rather than really investing time as an actor
@@TriedRefusedProductions Exactly he needs to give a movie which we'll remember after 10 years specially for his performance...
He chooses scripts which are bad and good too
But he don't give a damn about the pre production or anything

His last performance in "padman" was something he excelled with superb grace but rest are just meh , he can't act properly tbh .

Its unfair to say Akshay Kumar is unable to grasp the personality of Prithviraj, how can we expect a Canadian to portrait a historical Indian figure perfectly
Their is a huge difference between Actor & Artist.

While I admire Akki's consistency in delivering hit after hit, I do believe that for a character like this with so much cultural and historical significance attached to it, he could have done his homework better. Especially with the dialogue delivery and diction. When he says "Dharm ke liye jiya hu, dharm ke liya marunga", it sounded like "Jo main bolta hu, woh main karta hu" from Rowdy Rathore.
Definitely requires more than just a stroll in the park & moving on to the next project!
