Billy is 100% bait fishing, which in my view (and my view only) is a complete waste of a fishing day in Norway. The Shore Hunter guy Wayne also in my view wastes his frequent trips by only fishing relatively dull jetties and piers when it's probably the most scenic country in Western Europe. Lure fishing in Norway is incredible and there's really no need to bait fish. Each to their own, bit I don't think either Billy or Wayne is getting the most out of Norwegian fishing.
So did I, and it was about me. 😂😂 Mike did half the trip and had to return to the UK. We dropped him at the airport and Nathan waited about 20mins before he said “can we have Mike back instead of you?” TBH the whole trip was hilarious, relentless banter back and forth. We were still creasing in the airport on the way home. A lot had to be left out of the video. Nathan is a great lad.
@@atlanticdriftfishing6451 I also liked when you both were boat fishing Nathan asked you to move as he had a fish on, I was so glad you replied yeah so do I, lol
@@MsJon52i feel very sad we didn’t run the cameras more. There was a lot of great stuff missed. Nath has done a top job putting this together. We were pretty much laughing all ten days, through the highs and lows. Its a shame we didn’t get some footage of the other guys. The lure fishing was insane. I was just made up that my brother was there to help me land a PB halibut. It was a very exciting sequence. It lifted the pressure a bit. The marks were spectacular.
Great Video !! i love the honesty of it. It shows that Norway doesnt throw up fish every cast and it can be difficult at times :) Really enjoyed it thanks for sharing your experience here in Norway :) Lets hope fishing back in the UK is not a disappointment for you after this :)
Thank you for saving this one for the cold and miserable month of January - you've cheered me up immensely! Must have taken some time to edit as it was beautifully filmed. Pity you didn't get your Cox and Rawles into a halibut - maybe next time. Otherwise super jealous at the excellent fishing and quality of fish caught. Great banter too. Thank you Nathan!
My pleasure as always, LV. I was hoping to get it out in time for Christmas but I ran out of time. Glad you enjoyed it though. I'm almost glad I didn't get the big H, means I have to go back again🤣 Tight lines👍🎣
Great video, nice to see Lasse in his element! I used ti live in the area in the early eigthies, and had some lovely fish, mostly boat fishing. We dis some shoe fishing also, mainly for dabs and scorpion fish, had dabs to 2ibs10oz, and scopions to1ibs14oz.
What a spectacular place and I know the camera can’t do it justice. Lure fishing strikes me as the best way to fish in Norway. All the fish there feed in such clear water, often predating on herring, small coalies etc. ideal for lure fishing. When are you going back? 😉 Thanks for all the hard work you put in to this.
Nice video. I spent May to July this year traveling in my campervan and shore fishing Norway from Trondheim to Nordkapp. There's no place like it on Earth. I managed to catch every species on my list including Atlantic Salmon and Seatrout. No Halibut though. I will definitely return someday.
Ah, that makes me so jealous, that must have been some trip! I thought 10 days was going to be enough for me, but I didn't want to come back. Hope you get back there!
The rivers and estuaries look amazing and would love to give sea trout fishing a go there. Unfortunately, the camp we were working for wasn't interested in it, so it didn't allow us any time. Hopefully next time!! Thanks for watching and tight lines 👍🎣
Fabulous place , been out the 14 times now and going back this year again , wait till you hook a 40lb cod , biggest I’ve had is 58 , you can never go once to Norway lol
fantastic vid ...So what do the Norwegians do different to us ..as in why as a Island nation we carnt /dont have fish like them ???what your opinion Nathan
I am sure I have seen these videos before, just a joined up one of those already posted, there is plenty cod off Northeast shore at present mate for new videos
I'd posted day 1 and 7 but thought you guys might want to see the whole trip. I'd hoped to post at Christmas but it's taken me an age to edit. More cod fishing vids coming though. Tight lines
I will be 100% honest I've not been watching Any of my fishing subscriptions because of bad health and bad weather here on the isle of man it's just made me envious but now we're past winter solstice I'm going through my lures putting on new hooks where needed and making up some rigs for beach casting, and my goal this year is to get a bass off a local mark, they're are fickle in the local bay as one year apparently they fed after dark every night for over a month people getting 3 or 4 fish in 2 hours all around the 3lb and up mark the next year only a couple here n there at night or instead during the day in rough difficult conditions, I may have to suffer many nights of blanks cuz it's a barron mark not much else feeds there apart from sandeels but theirs no guarantee they're there for the bass to follow. Anyway here to crossing atleast one goal off the bucket list for 2025. Happy New year's btw ✨
I am fishing sea bass here in Norway, so it might very well be very different from where you fish, but in my experience is the best fishing during the summer between 4am and 10am in windy high pressure days. When the water is colder, then calm high pressure afternoons/evenings seems the best. But as usual with fishing, is nothing set in stone. Far from it. Tight lines.
Hi Nathan, I hope you are well, Have you heard of the Farnborough fishing show 2025? It will be awesome, with a sea fishing section 😮😮🎉🎉🎉 Are you going ?
"there's ney fish in Norway" 🤣 Great sound track, works well with your video. Looks like you had a blast while you were there. I take it from the shorts and shirts it was summer out there, always wondered what it would be like out there in summer, everyone seems to go in winter.
Brilliant film. Loved the "TODAY'S FISH IN NORWAY" song that you played. The scenery looked magic. Given how cold it's been in the UK, 23 degrees sounded heavenly!. 😊
@SlippyLimpets yeah it was blooming marvelous. The power of something is often born out by me still being blown away the next day. I am still blown away. You're such a down to earth fella that makes top content. Thank you.
This is the Best Fishing Video i've ever watched on UA-cam. Incredible backdrop , Top Presentation and Honest Enjoyable Angling. Your Magnum Opus .🥇
