Karen Mcmanus and Kara Thomas are my favorite authors and were my first read authors. Karen McManus one of us is lying was my first and two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.. and Kara Thomas' The Cheerleaders and it got me to read Kara's other books such as Little Monsters and The Darkest Corners. I just bought we were liars and people like us. we seem to have similar mystery (murder mystery) im going to try and read these.

Thank you for this! I used to read mystery novels when I was a kid (i.e. boxcar children and Nancy drew) and now I'm in my mid 20's wanting to find some mystery books again but not wanting the really scary horror type stuff, just a good wholehearted mystery! This was so helpful, I wouldn't have even thought to look at YA mysteries... heading to the library today! Thank you!!

You should read the similars by Rebecca Hanover! It also comes with a sequel the pretenders! It’s so interesting and under rated, I think you’d really injoy it!

I love reading YA thrillers. I like how they are usually more fast-paced. Anyways, I didn’t like One of Us Is Lying too :( Mainly because l find the reveal quite disappointing.
