I think a Legends-style Johto would likely merge Kanto and Johto into one giant super region, which would be a nice nod to how the original Johto games also included a buffed-up Kanto region, but you could even tie into the story about how some of the more modern regions split into smaller regions on their journey to the modern day.
And a Legends-style Unova game could potentially do something similar, which could also tie in nicely to a new region for the Pokemon fanbase that neibors Unova to finally explore in its own game.
How about a one town Kanto region like how it was gonna be in the pokemon gold space world demo?

I dunno, we could also get a standalone legends kanto game down the line, but they could make the legends kanto and Johto games take place in different time periods so each version of kanto is different enough to warrant being featured on two games

@@dwightdeisenhower53Absolutely not true at all. Their quality is well below every other major franchise on the system. It's literally the biggest media franchise in the world, it can afdort to exceed Mario, Zelda, even a niche game like Xenoblade blows it out of the water.

Yes, the games can be laggy at times, but if you, were to, say, ignore some trees that look wrong in pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it's still a fun game. Nobody should care if they're easy, either, cause theyre marketed at 7 year olds. If you want a monster-catching game made for your needs, go play shin megami tensen.
For the starters, maybe Juniper can't get any more Unovan ones, but her professor friends in other regions sent her something- Since Burnet was in both BW and SM, it would make sense for an Alolan starter, perhaps a Galarian and a Sinnohan to round out the trio?
Make it Alolan, Galarian, and Paldean so we can have Litten, Sobble, and Sprigatito together from the outset. Two kittens and a sobby lizard! A Face wrestler Incineroar, a spec ops soldier Inteleon, and an actual wizard Meowscarada (grass-type Delphox, but more Dark Magician Girl rather than Dark Magician) as the alternate Unovan forms.
I never expected such a take on a Unova Legends game. A very unique and interesting concept and story.
Yeah know, a good idea for the regional variants of the Unova Starters is that they could have either a Past or Future regional variant depending on what side of the region your on so that Samurott has a new form along with its Hisui form.

I truly believe legends unova is inevitable and this would be a great way to do it! a legends game that addresses both the past and future for Unova would be perfect!

love the idea of not just the legends of old but the future as well. Good use of the paradox elements introduced in SV.
Something I had in mind for a Legends style game was one about the origin of the gym challenge. Like maybe in the past there was a region where in order to meet with the king you had to collect a special proof from various lords in order to show that they considered you worthy of bringing your request before the throne.

It was a fun idea. But I think what would be better is if the main character is traveling between pass and future (present) literally. Not like your idea but actual time travel. Where something is happening in the past (maybe involving Volo) and Arceus tasks you to travel between times. With each gym badge in the present that area unlocks for you to travel in the past and you can change the future by doing tasks in the past (like Arceus and the Jewel of Life movie).
My goodness Toby this is a fantastic fan story, I hope we sometime get something like this. I love especially the idea of oh well the dragonspiral tower stuff is preserved in nacrene, but wait nacrene has been sent back in time. Fantastic idea

As fan fiction goes it's actually solid. Pokémon just copy and pasting designs for ancestors was really weak fanfiction. Taking the original dragon from the past and throwing a paradox final dragon at it, sounds really fun and it makes a compelling story. A Pokémon born in the past from a need in the future to stop itself from rampaging is brilliant
I’m entirely unconvinced that GameFreak made PLA, a game that’s tone and gameplay differs from the formula enough to be a risky move on their part, watched it sell less than the other Switch Pokémon titles, then developed an entirely new game in that style in like a year
You can have a fun time loop where Liam inspired his grandfather Clay and gives him his hat
Make both Legends Johto and Unova at the same time and have crossplay. Considering Nintendo wants you to buy both I can see them doing this.

it would be a cool inversion of the originals if the old team plasma's goals were to basically enslave pokémon, or capture all the wild ones - could make parallels to american colonization and also flip their original ideal of freeing all pokémon
My one request is that the plot revolves around a revolutionary war against the Galar region.
For the black and wight citty/forest you could do like a "apacalitick" style where the trees are growing around /thew the billings and the pople have kindof bilt around a few trees like a tree house a strange mix of modern and forest (a kind of hippy keeping a tree alive yet having a modern home with Alexa and stuff fusehen)
Whatever Unova game we get, the ONE thing I want is Emmet and Ingo to be reunited, I want to know how Emmet has been dealing with this, and how he's going to deal with his twin's amnesia. It seems those two have been side by side since conception, and as sad as Ingo's situation is, imagining how Emmet is doing is even more heart breaking. He remembers, he knows, he's now without his other half... I need to them see each other again and get some kind of closure.

It would make sense to have a Legends Unova game set on the switch since both DPPt and BW released on the same system. It would be a nice parallel.
I'd want the American Revolution/canonically give Surge a teason to show up, to tie into the story. Give a proverbial nudge to its origins.
For Hisui Emboar, it seems like a Ground type if Dark isn't available. Also could go left field and do something like Fairy.

IMO if they do 'Legends' the Unova Region, I'm kinda expecting them to pull a Zelda: Oracle of Seasons / Zelda: Oracle of Ages sort of mechanic.
As a kid, it was a very groundbreaking concept for gameplay... As an adult, if they can do something like that but better the idea, that would be lit 👌👌
A little suggestion for this- naming the Ghetsis and N relatives in parallel to Sharps and Flats in music. Like Ghetsis's name references the tritone, while N is the natural-note.
How about August and Mint? From Augmented, Emperor Augustus, and the "Harmonia Mint Hair Thing". Also, Augustus relates to praise.

Legend Unova and Legend Kyurem sounds cool, but, Black Zero and White Zero as prequels for generations 5 would sound much cooler
I'd love to see them make a game like that though I have another idea that might make it more interesting. They could give the starters two different final evolutions one for while you're in the future parts of the world when they reach their evolution level and a different evolution for while in the past parts.
imagine Ghetsis takes over the past I wanna see Legends Zygarde. I can imagine the Ghetsis ancestor being a benevolent dictator and we get to see him after finding out the fall of the plasma dynasty, he becomes crazed and Colress becomes an AI. The OG dragon will bring Unova together and the region is based off of the civil war.

I think the Legends Arceus starters foreshadow the next Legends games. Cyndaquil for Legends Johto, Oshawott for Legends Unova, and Rowlet for Legends Alola. If this theory is true, I would be more excited for Legends Alola, maybe even called “Pokemon Legends Necrozma”
I was expecting the two god stones to be used to rip the original dragon apart and then they each respectively become the black and white stones from the original games and leave the husk of kyurem behind to be defeated and sealed away

I feel like the legends Unova game would be called Pokemon Legends Victini, since Legends Arceus was called that cause of Arceus which was an event Mon in DP, so do the same with Victini the Victory pokemon

I would like, if we were to get a Legends Unova, to play as one of the two brothers who warred and founded Unova. Exploring that storyline would be amazing, and eventually we'd obtain the Zekrom or Reshiram as a pseudo-partner Pokémon, fighting like the protagonist of BW and N in a battle of Truth vs Ideals. We'd also get to see the original dragon and experience our diverging paths split the original dragon in its two extremes and one husk.
I love your idea way more. All you've written of Ghetsis' ancestor is fascinating, and I love it so much. So awesome. And the world design of the past and future colliding is so interesting and opens up possibilities for a very unique world. Water meeting lava means there's igneous in between, and a town based in that igneous rock would be great. The Final Dragon is so epic as well.
Considering the protagonist didn’t get to go home in legends Arceus what if the Galaxy corp discovers a new region like they did Hisui and cyllene the new corp leader decides to go on a new expidition. Takes the protagonist with him to discover new pokemon in the new region. Could be either Unova or Johto. In Unova the story could be about discovering Kyurem or in Johto the story could be about the tower.
You go to Unova and Ultimately the story goes on to splitting The Original Dragon or in Johto it could be about the events leading upto the tower burning down and Catching the three dogs. Would make a lot more sense to everything. Would actually love to play a game like that.

I like the idea that you are doing both the past and future. However, i was thinking more of a Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance kinda idea.
In my version, it would start just like you had, there some kind of time/space distortion that envelopes the region. But as you are playing, you switch switch between the past and future. Each have their own story that intertwines to fix the time warp that is happening.
Maybe the Emboar could be Fire/Ghost type. that'd fit.

I really like this concept to be honest. It would be fun to play through. Although, I feel like the story is a bit too bias towards the future vs past element (as in like future = good and ancient = bad guys). I would personally add an evil guy from the future who wants to revolutionise the new ancient areas (just to balance the story more).

Heres a question no one is asking you on here, how do you get the chance to make pokemon merch without being sued ? do you have a license from game freak or is there some other workaround ? I'm curious because i'm trying to make some myself but have been stopped by not having a license to make them, which can be quite costly and not worth the trouble for doing it just as a hobby. Just curious, I doubt i'll get a response but thought i'd ask anyways.
My favorite idea is that you play as one of the heroes and your rival is the other. Maybe before the game starts you have a choice for truth or ideals idk but you go through the game with him at your side but at the end there’s a falling out related to yalls differences in beliefs and that splits the original dragon somehow. I think the splitting of the dragon should be a tragic happening instead of a triumphant one

That gave me tingles of a wonderfully Gallifreyan level! There is one small difference I'd make here, though. If the entire region is dealing with a past/present/future split, why not have the starters end up the same? We already have a "past" form of Samurott, a "Dark Warlord" if you will. Why not have Serperior remain as is to represent the present, but have Emboar be a Paradox in itself? The only known Paradox to evolve, much like Manaphy is the only known Legendary/Myhtical capable of breeding, Tepig evolves into Pignite as normal, but the jump to Emboar is altered by the region-wide Distortion, causing a mechanization of the flaming boar, resulting in a Future Paradox version of Emboar, the "Iron Boar".
Alternatively, it could be Emboar who remains unchanged to represent the present, while Serperior becomes the Paradox Pokemon, the "Iron Regent". Both directions could plausibly work, and in my opinion are definitely cool. It also, as mentioned earlier, maintains the temporal three-way split of past/present/future. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, Toby.

maybe the legends game wotn eb about time and space but rather just being about the spliting of the ancient dragon and your choices are the effecting part of the story cos the theme is truth and ideals
I think you've overlooked how the original dragon split in the first place, so whilst I get the past/future theme, and that could work, the whole god dragon bit is a bit rubbish
I dont agree that the starters in the ORIGINAL name of Unova wont be the Gen 5 starters since we seen this in Legends Arceus, so think we SHOULD expect 3 starters from different regions, like the Grass starter should be either be Bulbasaur or Treeko, the Fire starter should be Torchic or Litten and the Water starter should be either be Sobble or Froakie.
Great video! These concepts are so cool, but Hisuian Samurott is not the ancient form of Unovan Samurott. All the Hisui starters are regular regional forms that came after the form we know so Unovan Samurott is already its own ancient form. It would be cooler if we got a Convergent trio of Unovan starters and it could be a grass oshawott counterpart, fire snivy counterpart and then water type tepig counterpart. Another cool thing the game could be about is Organic pokemon vs Robot Pokémon and the moral dilemma could be are robot Pokemon truly alive? Great video!
If I'm being honest I would play the game you described over the original b/w and b2/w2 games because it sounds like a wise choice to make a game that is fun, has amazing lore, and gives Pokemon fans a deal that is impossible to say no to. your version of a legends unova game is not only a game I would like to see, but it is one I would be tempted to buy all copies from you and give them to everyone for free keeping one for myself. In case you were wondering I enjoyed the games from the unova generation but I think this one would make me relearn my love of that time while it's brought up to date in modernity

I’d rather gamefreak the idea of Legends: Johto and Legends: Unova into one whole game, with the post-game consisting of Unova and the pre-game being Johto. The Unova map would be based off BW2 because the content is much more vast. Johto would undergo a lot of changes like the Safari Zone/Ruins of Alph/Mt. Silver being open-world explorable. The classical Pokemon gyms would be Gen 9 flavored replaced by the Gym Challenge we see in S/V.
if they make legends: alola or legends: necrozma, they should incorporate it with unova.
It's cool how Scarlet and Violet practically feel designed to thematically connect with Black and White. There's the theme of past and future, the color spectrum, the two dragons, the big circular source of energy in the center of both regions, maybe even dream energy. Now Kieran is even doing his hair like Ghetsis and matching his original colors of purple and yellow. Sword and Shield barely tied into Legends: Arceus at all beyond a few references in the DLC. If anything, Legends: Arceus seems like it ties into a future Legends: Unova game more than Sword and Shield, with its use of Unova Pokemon and the Kami Trio, and most of all exploring the interaction between humans and Pokemon, especially the ethics of catching them with Pokeballs.
In some ways it's not surprising, since a lot of the senor staff working at GameFreak right now started with Black and White. It's also the only pair of Pokemon games that GameFreak was invested in enough to make sequels for, so hopefully they're as fond of Unova's stories as I am. It's just surprising that, if there's going to be a Legends: Unova game soon, they started aggressively hinting about it an entire generation before it released.
The starters for legends kyurem should be popplio, chikorita and fenniken if not ill be disappointed
I want Rockstar to make the Pokémon game for the next system. I want it to be all current regions in one, plus a new region.
I don't think this will be the last switch Pokemon game because I noticed only time they stopped making them is when they have a new system and Nintendo don't have a new system yet just a bunch of copy's of the switch
