  • A repeat customer called and asked if we could load an 80,000 pound propane tank on a tractor trailer so they could deliver it to its new home in Indiana. The ‪@NRCIndustries‬ 40ton and 50ton performed flawlessly. On the way back to Willard, Tyler and Tad met up to move a 40 foot shipping container for another customer.

    That tank makes either one of those wreckers, individually, nearly look like 'toy' trucks - no kidding with 'LARGEST' in the title.
    Good job capturing the audio from your headset units. Love it, pro work 👍

      The audio sync can be a bit challenging to match up with the video, but it works out well and adds to the video experience.

    Your videos are awesome. Very laid back, don't get in a rush. That's how mistakes are made. Assume job

      Thank you! Jobs like these are nice because we don't have to be in a rush, unlike accident scenes. Gives us a little more time to think.

    I would hate to pay for filling that 80,000# tank.
    Made the cargo move look easy.
    Landolls are a versatile trailer.

    Love the videos, one video I have not seen is a fleet tour. A lot of us truck lovers drool over your equipment, especially the green wrecker to fifth wheel conversion. Not all areas have access to rotators and I would love to see all your heavy trucks. Thanks

      @DaveClassens - I have hounded on Tyler to do that, along with possibly a tour of tools and related equipment as well. Just opened the video up and saw this comment - made me smile :)
      I'll pound on him some more next time I'm home (I'm his older brother).

      Thank you! We are planning to do a complete fleet/ equipment video whenever we can find a time that all pieces are at the shop. As mentioned in the video, we are currently in the process of taking one of our old cranes and making a tandem axle dump truck, and have already filmed some of that conversion.

    Always and interesting video. Would like to look out the window while talking so I can try to see where you are since I spent so many summers in the Willard area when I was younger
    Keep up the great work!

    Very much enjoy your videos
    I thought the audio was great
    I wondered why you weren't concerned about the overhead wires on the second lift

    • @WilcoxGarageRecovery
      @WilcoxGarageRecovery  Рік тому +2

      We didn't particularly like it, however we were able to make it work. There was limited space to work with, so we just made sure to keep the boom at least a foot away. The container was empty, so that lessened concerns on boom height for the lift.

    Enjoyed the video was wondering will you retire the 40 ton when the new rotator arrives? Talked to your mom will let her know when I’m in town can’t wait to see the old shop again lots of memories in that place! Till then take care WG!

    • @WilcoxGarageRecovery
      @WilcoxGarageRecovery  Рік тому +2

      The plan is to keep the 40 ton. We have been using it on more regular tows lately since we recently updated the transmission to an 18 speed. Plus, it will allow for another heavy to stay in the area in case of an emergency call. Look forward to showing you the improvements that have been made since you last remember!
