"Being the stereotypically kind Canadian he was, Paul didn´t want to intimidate his competitors"
i had good chuckle at this one
ALL HAIL PAUL DILLET! THE KING OF THE MICROSECOND POSING!!!! G.O.A.T
16:24 Lee did the dab before it was cool
lordwout10 LMAO
Front double dab
@@rammiii6724 hahahahah
Shit. Was about to comment this. Just 6 months late
damn only 8 months late to comment this
Someone needs to make an edit of Arnold saying "that's what I call posing" then cut to Paul Dylett lol
Better yet, have Arnold say "now that's what I call posing" towards Ronnie Coleman's emaculate raise the roof posing haha
Lmao
@@mybluguitar6051 aha
😂😂😂lol
Or cut to Dallas fainting. Too soon? Lol
The bodybuilding community owes you a debt of gratitude for your in depth and careful analysis Tom! Thank you
Hah thx I wouldn't go that far... but glad you appreciate it :)
You did your homework on this one 💪
Paul Dillet was robbed!!!
@70mMyWi53 Bro I though about the posing, but he was also a very good bodybuilder. But I think that Shawn Ray is my 1994 Mr O.
@@markokrstic3164 Shawn would have won 2 Mr.O but the judges kept him from winning cuz of his criticism of them n being out spoken the way he was.even tho he was right that kept him from winning thats the truth
Yes! Paul was the freakiest thing I ever seen frfr I wanna chase his physique but I’ll fall short due to my 5”11 height but dude is really amazing
Marko Krstic oop 😂
A travisty
Makkawy better be at least top 5 or I'm rioting.
Edit: pushing your luck Tom, but I'll take it.
Heh yeah I was flip-flopping between him and Paris for #4 but I wouldn't put him any higher than that.
@@Tomn8er It's a solid list. I'm probably just biased because I love Makkawy's style. Only thing I'd really disagree with is Shawn at #3. Labrada in first is spot on.
I agree! Labrada is a product of Makawwy's style. Not worthy of #1! I had Makawwy And Ed Corney for top two because they used their own original poses and transitions. And their poses were also more effective. In my opinion, many of the trendy modern poses, although may be considered "artistic," are really not.
Every Arnold pose is a bicep pose..
I don't blame him for doing that.
Or chest.
16:24 Lee Labrada even invented the Dab😂
Man. Paul Dillet. I thought like, ok everything sounded so good but what the f*ck Paul Dillet? And one secound bevore I was thinking "Hm, Maybe Paul Dillet was realy misunderstood" I saw Lee. Allright. You had me. 😂
Thanks. Now the worst posers of all time 😂😂
Sergio oliva
Ronnie Coleman
Pauldillet
Ronnie, dillet, Sergio, Markus ruhl
I somehow knew you were gonna troll us with Dillet. I was dying
Shaking leaf in the wind, oh my God Tom you're a true legend😂👌🏼
You should do a Top Posers list for guys in Classic Physique nowadays.
Maybe in a year or two. CP is still too new and these guys haven't had a chance to prove themselves over time.
Tomn8er True, true. Though at lest you have better footage to work with on that class.
Terrence Ruffin and Breon Ansley, easily.
@@Bl2EAKIN this aged well, Ruffin and Logan Franklin are beautiful posers
Zane's routine is from his '79 MR. O VICTORY...phenomenal.
You can't belive how much I have waited for this video, thanks again Tom!
1 week, most likely ;) :P
Benfatto had some of the best conditioning I've ever seen
This is the epitome of (best of) bodybuilding videos I've ever seen , a good balance of depth and entertainment . Great job Sir
100% agree, Labrada is by far the best poser in the history of bodybuilding!
dunnymonster yeah sure, he was ok. But we all know Dillet was the real goat, nobody could hit those 0.0000000005sec poses like he did. Lee would just stand there holding his poses boring the crowd and doing stupid shit like transitions, really just amateur all around.
The best bodybuilding channel on UA-cam! So informative... correct and precise critiques, dead on always! People will soon recognize
Been waiting for this video all week!
Another good one been waiting for this all week 💪🏾
Francis Befatto poses to Jean Michel Jarre's Rendezvous 2.
Haha halfway through the video I was like he should finish with Dilett in 1st for the lol, then I went for a good laugh! Thanks very solid as always
5:37 Dance moves? Somebody hit the gong on that joker. Boyer Coe's 307 victory back in the 80s to Rod Stewart was awesome.
Great video man! Loved it! Commentary was awesome.
Shaking leaf in the wind, my gut hurts from that one!
The complaints about posing today only when you see how serious the top 10 here take it. The amount of polish and attention to detail was beautiful. The Paul Dillett partt!! 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for the Dillet jest. I couldn't stop laughing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When you had paul dillett at 1 I was about to turn off the video like "I watched 40 minutes for it to end like this?!?!?!" Hilarious bro! Great series to have my favs and some I missed out on but now am researching. Posing is the reason why bodybuild so thank you sir for these vids
Great job Mr. n8er. That last routine is one of my all time favorites.
good shit, u underrated maaan
your channel is the best by so far, many many compliments to your style, i enjoyed this video very much, even im following bodybuilding news and old materials i have to say that i wasnt interested enough to watch Labradas posing routines before, i seen it here and ill study it alot since now, im a dancer and a model myself and i can say that what he did is ALIEN level, the perfection and the tempo and the quick contraction in those lines are just ....... great one keep on
You picked a good showing for Paul Dillet... I appreciate the humor but he actually didn't detract too badly from his look there
also, 16:24 *dabs*
Honestly none of his routines were thaaaat terrible, so much as disappointing. His posing tends to get crucified because it was such a let down for his amazing physique but I couldn't find any other showings that were noticeably worse.
😂 I was totally trolled and triggered when it got to number one! My mind was screaming, “where the hell is Labrada!?!?” That was a good one 😂
loved the video... you got me with that joke about #1 :'D
Love your videos!!!
Ok props for such a great video and still not taking yourself so serious that you threw PD in there and had some fun 👍🏻
Arnold constantly stud up when posing, mostly arms and side chest. He was excellent at a few shots but not a true art form in the posing area! Great video Tom. Cheers 👍
I would have also put Labrada at #1 and Corney at #2. Also, I always thought Melvin Anthony's posing was very impressive and always so entertaining to watch as I know some people that would say it's a disgrace to bb. Glad you put him on this list.
Awesome top 10 Tom! Also, lol loved that you squeezed in Paul Dillet. :)
Great, great video!!! Thanks by the amazing job.
Great list! Dillet... The owner of the front relaxed silhouette pose! 👑🐐💪🏾😆
Seriously, how did Dillet got through the mandatorys?
I know your sense of humor. And by the fact you have made similar jokes in other videos, i was wondering: "Will he put Paul Dillet in number one spot?" When i saw that i cracked. lol im still laughing. Best part of the video by far!
The content, reasoning behind and commentary as always is top notch.
My favorite BB video all time. great job. Good choice on #1 and #2 but we all know Paul Dillet is #1 one in all our hearts.
LOLOLOLOL YOU GOT ME!!! I wrote that before the real number 1 came up!!! Pie in my face!!!! Well played sir LOLOLOL
Amazing video love how u even defending ur opinion on all the places and did it in a respectable and watch-able way and I would say this video is the go to source to find the best poser….
Bro I was so fucking confused with the Paul Dillet part.. 10/10 deception well played mate. Labrada
Paul Dillet was deep man. For a second, I was like wow! He is good...
But Lee Larada was too cool.
Great top ten! Enjoyed it!!! ✌🏻
Great list
The UFC’s Nate Diaz has a pretty legit front double bicep that he likes to show. He’s even done it while submitting his opponent with a triangle choke. Makes me wonder if the Diaz brothers could have been professional bodybuilders.
That whole paul dillet bit killed me😂😂
Hahaha thank you Tom for giving me the gift of Paul dillett I said Paul should be number 1 in the first video xD
i loved Francis's routine - so impactful! incredible music and movement of the guy... 🖤. my favourite of the whole video. I also like Kai's routines because he does some really interesting moves and is inventive. Ed Corney's routine was amazing. and probably two of my all-time favourites in this regard are Shawn Ray and especially Lee Labrada 🌟
You've got good taste then my friend
When you made it to number one and I hadn’t heard the name Lee I thought it was an atrocity. You really had me with that one.
Awesome!
Dillet almost had me falling off my chair lmao :D
As a male ballet dancer, I always appreciate a bodybuider who can pose
Good Job boy in both parts
You just kept going about Dillet and I was just laughing my ass out. I've always thought that if it was purely about physique (no weight in posing) he would've won a LOT. But then It wouldn't be Bodybuilding. Great video!
DUDEE I almost blew up when you said Paul Dillet. My guy, I was like what is this man smoking, surely he is high. If he actually nailed his posing he would have been a continuous force to be reckoned with. Mass yes, posing, DEFINITELY NOT number 1 lmfao!
This guy deserves way more subscribers
17:30 🙃🙃🙃
Good job 👍
👍
I think you follow bodybuilding very well
I thought Bob Paris would be #1. Excellent video man, thanks
I totally agree with your list. Especially since I've competed with some of these individuals..
Yes #1 is dead on! After #2 was announced I was about to be outraged that he didn't make the list but I think he's the clear GOAT!
😆🤣 dude I really thought Lee wasn’t on the list!! You fooled me!! He is the greatest poser of all time and had one of the best bodies in history. He’s a massive inspiration to me in regards to competitors. He showed his entire body flawlessly. His routine was beautiful watch, as it was artful as well as mesmerizing. He truly was the master of mass with class above any other. Absolutely number 1!! You really had me angry for a moment there!! I thought Lee wasn’t even on the list, and then...he was number 1!! 😆
Not a fan of Kai posing style but you convinced me he deserved the spot. I feel Bob Paris should ranked ahead of Ray, even Shawn Ray would say that.
Paris was more innovative but Ray was more graceful imo
@@Tomn8er That is definitely true. Shawn Ray could hit so many different poses and his routines were overall more complex and skilled than Paris.
Watching this at work. Marvelous marven came on and I had to save this for later so I didn't get in touble lol.
Agree totally with Labrada at the top spot
Greatest poser who ever lived and so inventive with a perfect choice of music every time
Ooooohh, Bob Paris's transition from a most muscular to a crossed-arm pose in that clip is really cool. You'd think more guys would peppered in something similar over the years, lol
My favorite, Lee, Bob, Francis, Frank, and Mohamed.
Kai green Arnold classic was crazy man.
Great video Tom, you out did yourself as always. Still think Paris should be at least 2nd.
Lee Labrada: Albeniz - Asturias
Bob Paris posing to Tracy Chapman ... odd, but beautifully effective choice.
Lee: *Dabs*
Tominater: "ok, number 1"
I was afraid there would no video this weekend. Glad I was wrong!
My top 4 of all time would be:
4: Frank Zane
3: Ed Corney
2: Mohamed Makkawy
1: Lee Labrada.
And 0: Big Lenny
Hey tom. How many times did you laugh while recording the Paul dillet section ??🤣🤣😂😂
Jesus finally someome who says it all about Schwarzenegger, i am tired of comments like "ArNold GReEk GoD AesTHAetic"
Lol, Labrada's timing is what does it
Darrem Charles, Darrem Charles, Darrem Charles. I need here Darrem Charles.
Before i finish this i hope bob paris is on it will find out at the end.
Well ig that a good spot
Phil Hill also had an amazing Phantom of the Opera routine in the 1988 Olympia. He was the OG to do a full split.
Shaun Ray would be my top choice. Great video
Paul dillet is number 1
Golden Era bodybuilders has absolute breath control. That's something lost after middle of 90's
I'll start by saying I love old school bodybuilding for its aesthetics lines and proportions...
Although it can be said that benfatto and Bob Paris we're like Frank Zane with more mass there's just something about Frank's build that looks like a classic Greek masterpiece... The balance of just enough muscle with his conditioning and proportions for me are pure art and perfection.
Yes even in bodybuilding less is more!
The one thing Dillet did well was the Crucifixion pose.
paul dillet's "shaking leaf in the wind" technique :D
The first person I remember performing that Bob Paris signature pose was Phil Hill. He should probably be on the list as well.
100% agree with the winner
Ronnie coleman is the best poser
With all that freaky body and dance and most musculars he can easily crack top 10
His posing in 2004 was a thing of beauty and was very artistic 😜
It's a joke?
@@carlosleal5910 of course it is!
What are your thoughts of some what an unknown body builder named sonny Smichdt? I personally think he is a underrated poser. Have a look and respond would be great to hear your thoughts on him.
Yeah, good call on Labrada.
God damn I was so confused there with Dillet lol. I watched the link video first.
I wonder where Samir Bannout falls with this category..
Just so many good posers to compete with.
Samir just missed the top 20 but he could be probably be in here too. Some hard cuts had to be made!
Personally I thought Zane was the top dog of posing.
He held the pose long enough, held the pose and switched the angle to the audience and held that.
He had smooth transitions from front to back posing and imo he looked like he put thought into his routine.
The gut makes an appearance 0:16 I knew he'd add him in. Also Arnold during 1980 Olympia and 10th on his list ... why am I not surprised.
1980 is the best full-length routine of Arnold that I could find. Mostly what's available out there is cherry-picked segments and photoshoot stuff as per usual with the Oak
Got to know how to pose those muscles.
Great video, I would definitely put makkawy, labrada and Shawn ray all first place.
