Congrats to you guys on another win! You matched my team (DR) as the only undefeated champions. I want to recognize the other guys on team Japan too, the whole pitching staff was incredible. And they all threw nasty split fingers. I especially was impressed by Taisei Ota. He had the great side arm delivery that when he threw the split you really had to get low to the ball if you didn’t want to roll over or just miss it, especially for taller guys. I think he struck out Trout and Goldschmidt with that side arm split that started at the knees and fell off the table

For those who say “Skip doesn’t know/follow baseball,” you’re completely wrong. Skip covered the sport for years and is an excellent sports historian overall. Shannon does his homework too on other sports not football/basketball related. They just don’t have many topics on other sports like baseball, because that won’t get the clicks that unnecessary topics about the Lakers & Cowboys will. The younger generation, who is a good chunk of the audience is way more likely to tune into a topic on “how something will affect a basketball/football star’s legacy” than baseball topics. That being said, much credit to them for doing segments on this every once in a while! It’s good for the show, while still maintaining ratings. They’re excellent at what they do!
Trailers or advertising didn't do him JUSTICE !!!!! That's right. God bless Japan and the United States of America. God bless Shohei Ohtani. Thank God he is in MLB. We ALL should celebrate it and enjoy watching him!! Baseball absolutely went to the next level and beyond. It's been so much more fun to watch baseball games thanks to him and all other stunning baseball players! We'd better keep an eye on MLB!!!
It’s about time the best Athlete is finally recognized ! Ohtanti is on another level like Jordan. Ali people don’t understand the work ethic and talent it takes to do what Ohtanti does . He’s the only pitcher who bats. It would be impressive if he was a average hitter. He’s an elite pitcher and an elite hitter. Plus you gain an extra spot on your roster. Because he does both. Please for mlb get him away from the Angels. Baseball needs Shohei on a good team. Good chance baseball will never see a talent like this ever again. so enjoy it while it lasts.
I do understand that all of Great USA pitchers did not wanna participate. But they’re forgetting that Great Japanese Pitchers & position players are not playing for Japan also due to MLB preparation or injuries

Don’t know that Trout is one of the “best that ever walked the earth” lol. He’s never been a clutch performer in his career, fitting that he strikes out to lose it
I said it before and I’ll say it again: Sho is the best player in baseball. Nothing else to talk about. Angels better get their act right having this guy on the franchise. Plus they still got Mike Trout who’s still great as a player himself.
I know that from a ratings perspective, it benefits this show and most other sport talk/debate shows to do far more football and basketball segments than sports like baseball, hockey, etc. But MAN I love listening to these two talk about baseball. When the MLB season starts, can't they do just like one segment a week on baseball?? Doesn't even have to be on a specific topic, just like a look back on the week that was, kinda thing

They are finally talking about something different thank God
Nobody cares about baseball jeffrey…
@@bendoverho842 L comment
He will forever be a Japanese legend
i love how they articulated the whole process, i was invested.
They need to talk more baseball. They're both sports historians and no doubt have knowledge about baseball. Something other than the Cowboys, Brady somehow even though he's retired, and LeBron lol
I wish they did talk more about baseball but they don't get to pick there topics
The producers pretty much have them talking about the same exact topics every day, which is unfortunate.
@@TheNiggaReview they talk about what gets engagement and unfortunately, baseball isnt that popular in social media compared to the other sports
@Dominik Gose yeah I get why they do it, but imo it holds the show back from being better.
so refreshing and ncie to hear them talk baseball instead of the same tired topics.
I had never seen a closer with dirt on his uniform until yesterday...
Hopefully, at the next WBC, more pitchers with great levels will also participate because Shohei just proved that they can pitch without any problem
Hahah! That’s true. I have seen a pitcher who came to throw the 1st inning with dirt on his uniform before, though….(also Shohei😂)❤
Ohtani needs to get in his “I’m the best in the world” era. He’s too damn humble.
It took McDavid 5 years
It's sweeter when other people are saying how great you are. When you got it, you don't need to show off and tell people you're the best. That's true self-confidence.
Naw he don’t
sorry but he's not lebroni
@@bsk8306 ohtani and trout play with the worst teammates, worst coaching staff in the MLB. These guys play for a 70-win Angels, and are the only reasons they win those 70 games.
Hooray, finally a baseball take in undisputed.
Hopefully we see this again this April, summer, and October…
We won’t 😂
You can just tell they both love baseball. Please talk about it more when the season starts
Ohtani did it man, Japan did it. I would love to see more of our US players come and play next year and see wut that game would look like! Could it over perform this years?
Ohtani is a generational talent
Ohtani put everything he had into that strikeout of trout. The final pitch he threw was nearly unhittable
the one of five times baseball will he talked about this year
Finally baseball. Undisputed please more of this
Wow, a baseball topic!
What is baseball?
You took my thoughts away 😂
“He’s to Japan what Messi is to Argentina”
Facts
and Pacquiao to Philippines
Trout vs Ohtani was the perfect way to end the WBC! That final out will be replayed over and over for many years!
As an Angels fan, Im happier that we have these two amazing players than a great playoff team.
It's nice to see them not argue for once.
This is the first time I seen them talk about baseball and it is much needed for mlb
Ohtani sigle handedly brought me back to watching baseball...
Damn shame Ohtani and Trout are stuck in Anaheim 😓
Oh god don't remind me😢
I am an Angels fan and since it does not look like the team is going anywhere anytime soon, I hope Ohtani does move to a contender so we can see him in the playoffs.
not for long m Ohtani will soon be on the Mets
Bro mike signed the biggest contract deal so idk about stuck
Great segment by the guys. Perfectly described. Ohtani GOAT of all GOATs.
Wow. I had no idea Skip actually knew baseball. This should be his lane. Not hot takes about Dak.
Lol accurate
Ohtani makes baseball fun to watch again for me. I just hope that 1) he can keep up the two-way play for at least a few more years and 2) he goes to a team that has a chance at the playoffs.
Ohtani's interpreter Ippei said "I have never seen Shohei playing baseball enjoyably before."
This is proof that undisputed should cover baseball soccer and track and field this was a very great segment. This show can grow even more
It’s about time the best Athlete is finally recognized ! Good chance baseball will never see a talent like this ever again. so enjoy it while it lasts.
i bet on Trout because he is goated. but i did expect Ohtani to go god mode on that game.
WBC is a great league! As a non-American, we now have something to root for. Congratulations to Japan!
Shohei ohtani might be the best damn baseball player I’ve seen
Just shows great pitching beats great hitting every time. Really wish more of our elite pitchers wanted to represent the USA
It's difficult to expect another baseball player showing up in front of us in the near future and being PERFECT TO THAT LEVEL that Shohei has been.
Ohtani and Trout are heroes of Angels. 👏👏👏
Japan is the best
What an event, the two of the best head to head
His personality has started to show over the last 2 seasons. I think he is finally comfortable and feels like he can be himself
He’s such a rare player that there’s literally a designated hitter to bat for the pitcher because pitchers historically don’t hit well.
I do understand that all of Great USA pitchers did not wanna participate. But they’re forgetting that Great Japanese Pitchers & position players are not playing for Japan also due to MLB preparation or injuries
you do know Japan beat the US with only 2 Major Leaguers their team was made up of mostly NPB players while the US was made up of all MLB stars sans a few pitchers
@@halomo81 yes I do! I’m just tired of people making excuses for USA when they arguably had a Dream Team. Like you said Japan beat them with a NPB roster and held them 2 runs
Skip is so passionate about baseball. I wish he talked about it more because he is so intelligent about the sport
seeing guys like ohtani, luka, jokic, and giannas dominate the pros and represent their entire country is awesome to see
Finally a new topic. Very excited for baseball season
WBC and World Cup every 4 years is perfect
Ohtani is a real beast💪🔥 no question about it
Peak baseball was on display last night and for the last few weeks. It was amazing to see
Even American Lars Nootbar (of half Japanese descent) became super popular in Japan from playing for team Japan.
Ohtani said to the teammates before the game let’s stop admiring those big name MLB players like Trout just for the day and not go “Wow….look! That’s Trout😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤” as they needed to have the mentality that they were going to win the game and not staying as admirers.
I was thinking….well, many MLB players are admiring you, Shohei😂😂😂❤
Good to see Shannon saying EXACLTY the same way I described Mike Trout 5 or 6 years ago. "Trout IS Mickey Mantle".
I cannot fathom the fact that the Angels have two of the greatest baseball talents to ever walk the Earth, and yet have NOTHING to show for it.
In all sports, ppl don't like to admit it, but coa hing matters and team comp. In all sports
They wasted trouts career and it's ashame.. ohetani needs to go elsewhere to win something
I would love to see Ohtani get traded to a perennial powerhouse like the Dodgers or Yankees --- he'd look good with rings on his fingers!
Don’t know that Trout is one of the “best that ever walked the earth” lol. He’s never been a clutch performer in his career, fitting that he strikes out to lose it
He beat out a ground ball and I was like😮 this kid is just insane
I said it before and I’ll say it again:
Sho is the best player in baseball. Nothing else to talk about. Angels better get their act right having this guy on the franchise. Plus they still got Mike Trout who’s still great as a player himself.
Amazing player, awesome moment!
This was the World Series, one for the ages
I know that from a ratings perspective, it benefits this show and most other sport talk/debate shows to do far more football and basketball segments than sports like baseball, hockey, etc. But MAN I love listening to these two talk about baseball. When the MLB season starts, can't they do just like one segment a week on baseball?? Doesn't even have to be on a specific topic, just like a look back on the week that was, kinda thing
