I was in Germany when they first were feild tested. I worked in maintenance and this equipment was one of the best things running. You can remove the back attachment in about 20 minutes and the front in about 10 mnutes. The entire system is designed with open centered valves to allow the to sit in place off the equipment and if someone moved the valves the attachment would not move at all. Safety built in to keep people safe. One thing that I found was to have plenty of fuel filters on hand, always changing them.

Awesome to see. I have thousands of hours operating a SEE and know them from front to back, top to bottom. It was always considered a POS but it did its job very well. Except the heater. It sucked. Imagine being in one with a passenger have full gear on, 2 M16s and an M60 inside the cab.

You just described the lucky ones that were 62J's ...... My heater worked well ..... But weren't much room for two people with sandbags on the floor, 2 A1's , etc .... But I loved my S.E.E. and she loved me ..... I'd take that S.T. any day of the week best piece of eqpt 62J or 62E ....

Man I would love to have one of these on my property to clean up after hurricanes, but like everything else it takes money and on disability is hard to come up with that kind of money. I'm giving 6.5 acres and a home for disabled to ST Judes children's hospital for the kids to enjoy the gulf coast .hope many children can have some fun here .love you guys and hope to see many more videos from yall

As an Army Grunt, I used to LOVE seein’ the SEE pull up when we were digging in.
Those engineers could dig a whole platoon in in an hour. If I had to dig the fighting position in by hand it was an all day affair.

Dug in many of y'all. I was digging in an MP unit once and one of them asked me if I could dig the grenade sump too. Use your imagination on what was said to him. LOL

@@hotroddude6551 lol . Some folks wouldn’t be happy if ya hung em with a new rope.
But seriously, I was a machine gunner and it was such a relief to have y’all just dig the T . I could dig the tables and the sumps with an e-tool in about an hour, including sandbagging the tables.
If I ever meet you I’ll give you a bag of M&M and the Tabasco from my mre cause you sound like a good guy.

Loader Operator Tip: Ideally, the bottom of the loader bucket should just slide along flat between un-disturbed dirt and your waste pile. Use the bottom and heel of the loader bucket to control the aggressiveness of the loader when digging or backfilling. Lip above heel causes bucket to raise above grade when going forward and bucket lip below heel lets the bucket descend deeper. Most industrial loaders will have a bucket level indicator to assist the operator to control his grade.

Back in the 80’s my company wanted to build a new 5 bay bus garage so the owner bought a used case 580B and I ended up being the operator. I dug foundations , septic bed , fuel tanks( back when it wasn’t such a hassle to bury them) water and utility lines plus drive and parking. It had the 3 lever controls with foot swing. The boom rested in the over centre position but there wasn’t a lock. When swinging with that one you needed to operate one of the other functions at the same time as swing to slow it down for smoother swing. Got pretty comfortable operating it, but joy sticks would have been nice. That came with the 580 C.

Nice demonstration. When I was a young kid, I had a Matchbox car collection like all boys in the 60s. One of my favorites was a Unimog. I have seen them in use in videos from Europe with all kinds of cool stuff hooked up to them.

newer Unimogs with this setup have a hydraulic suspension lock for when you are digging or pushing dirt so you dont dig in jumps and rits from the suspension giving - also they have now both on the PTO pump so front loader is almost janky fast

4:39 the awesome thing abaut such a hydraulic saw is you can use it under water -- like cut up a tree the beavers felled or cut the remaining stilts from a old deck underwater even with the mud - also good for cutting ice and trees halfway covered in mud like during a landslide
our fire brigade got such hydraulic saw kits on their newer model Jeeps - ofc you can also power shears and pry tools to open crashed cars, get pinched people out - just like that with a hose roll and a disconnectable pump that engages with a belt tentoner like a ride on lanwmower blade
