What an extraordinary poem I wish I would have heard much sooner. It moved me deeply. And this voice, ughhh, sounds like melted chocolate 😍 It gives me chills.
Rabindranath Tagore... The first Non European Nobel laureate in Literature. The person who worked as the motivation for the creation of independent nations... The person who wrote National anthems for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh... The poet who reinvigorated the Korean minds for innovation... There is a YT video of a Korean Literature student talking about his contribution. The dignitary from the SouthEastAsia who understood the concept of Nationalism. The one whose poems denounced imperialism and talked about equality. This legend has inspired nations in one of the most unstable regions of the world. A humble request...
I noticed you guys took down Bluebird. If there was any possibility of posting that one I would greatly appreciate it. But I understand if there was a copyright issue or something.
What a profound poet... for one who understands Arabic and English... it is clear that his poetry was written in an Arabic poetic style with deep parallels of expression.. then converting this profound beauty and style to the English language...very powerful.❤
your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. even is the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain. and could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wonderous than your joy, and you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields. and you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief much of your pain is self-chosen. it is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self, therefore trust the physician and drink his remedy in seilent and tranquillity. for his hand though heavy and hard is guided by the tender hand of the unseen and cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay, which the potter has moistened with his own sacred tears.
Thank you for the words of the poem. I hope that while you were typing out the words for us... you have also engraved the words in your heart. God bless
I was listening to The Open Road by Walt Whitman and afterwards a poem called My Defeat started playing. Now I meet this immortal poet and marvel at his stories.
@@varna8918 That means that you become a caring and kind person when you have been through severe storms and have been in pain. After that, you can understand pain and be more humane and sensitive to the pain of others.
Tears dripping down my cheeks reminding me of myself "pain is inevitable ".... But I have heard that "wound is a place where light enters ".... May! healer heal everyone....
"Travel and tell no one, live a true love story and tell no one, live happily and tell no one, people ruin beautiful things" One of my favorite quotes of Khalil Gibran
Suffering can serve as a catalyst to be introspective and reach for greater internal heights. To obtain wisdom, is to suffer. Thus, pain is our teacher in our real life. On and often I listen to Khalil Gibran's writings 🙏
@drakemilly2413 People who resort to mind games are inconsiderate, immature and manipulative. Life is far too short to deal with crap like that. There are always things to be learned from every situation.
Thank you for helping me thru this excruciating heartbreak I'm suffering. SORROW and Suffering ALWAYS TURN INTO JOY AND GRACE. THEY ARE TWIN SISTERS OF AMAZING FORTITUDE.
It’s so easy for us to harm ourselves just as we have allowed others to, where it be in actions or words. But through it all God never leaves us bare-he remains there with and for us. Such a beautiful work of art, thanks for sharing.

The greatest lesson I have learnt with pain It is a choice we posses to make Choose to hold on to our pain and diminish our healing choosing to pass on our pain to others Or choose to accept the lessons and allow the storm to swallow you whole in the night only to brave the unknown and bear witness to the inspiration if a new day gifted to you to pass on your wisdom
Much of your pain is chosen by you.... It shakes my spine till the end... I m the reason why I am here on the verge of tears 😭... Powerful poetry & amazing voice which questions my existence of life... So much Love ❤️ for you 💕
Today I am in so much pain, for realising that I was unable to become either of the favorite sister, favorite cousin, favorite grandchild , favoirte friend, best buddy or only lover to someone ... I am standing alone , not being able to become priority to anyone ... Being just an option where people sometimes look up to for a change - I am the one who is option to everyone on their leisures ... The pain crushes me with agony that I chose to be bothered by the people's validation.. I care for how they look at me but I see no warmth in me left to talk to new people to form the bond... As I am scarred by my own thoughts that may be no one will look up to me as their one and only ... And it's me who has chosen this as a scale of failure of life ... So yes, the pain is self chosen... I wish I weren't bothered by any of their priority lists

Beautiful poem that goes some way to describe each person's pain & suffering as an inspiration to find the delirium between ecstasy and agony and sheer joy however fleeting of our mortal experience.
Thank you for this moment. Brilliant choice. I wished this actor could read my poems! That’s why they are hidden, hidden. I don’t know how to read them.

A most evocative poem. Acutely absorbing these deep & thoughtful words, I couldn't help think to myself, the orator actually says in the last stanza " though it burns your lips " & not ' burn ' your lips as the screen text reads. What do you think?

It certainly is.
Hey don't say its a pain
It's a beautiful experience of life that teaches us everything😇
We know sat around a fire that the flame is hot, yet still at times, we run our hand through it.
😭.
indeed!
For me, this is the greatest of poets. He teaches, explains and encourages us to embrace life.
Pain is subtle and the loss inevitable. With seeds of Hope plough through the broken hearts for the flowers of peace & comfort to sprout.

The poem in Arabic is incomparable but the way it is conveyed here is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes ❤️
I am pretty sure he wrote The Prophet in English, and it has been translated into Arabic and other languages.
We live through pain to enjoy glimpse of happiness. I love his poems..so heart touching ❤❤❤

Pain is the bitter potion that the physician within me must heal my self.
Pain is understanding. Knowing is letting go. Love is uplifting. Time is just a show.
This is an excerpt from his book titled "The Prophet".

So pure and comprehensive.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
