My husband had a text that seemed strange (a woman about asking about a plan on Monday) and he immediately opened the conversation and gave me the phone so I could read everything I wanted.
I told him I didn't want to read a thing, and he laughed and told me I was sangre Latina and this will eat my brain if i didn't read it and see it's all good 😂 which yeah, jajajaa it would.
Thanks to his reaction, the way he reassured me, was direct, and didn't lie or get defensive, I didn't even read anything above the apart from the text that talked about the meeting that was about work.
This wife is 100% cheating, an innocent person will show and do anything to give peace of mind to their partner no matter how dumb the reason it might be.

cheaters are usually emotionally damaged people, sociopaths and as such they don't care about others or if they hurt them...they find it exciting to sneak around behind partners back. That's why most of time relationships between cheater and AP very quickly ends, because that forbidden excitement is simply not there anymore...so they find another sucker to cheat again (damaged people, what else to say). That's one of the reason, why you never give a cheater second chance, they will do that again

The suspect part in the first story was not the late night messages. My God, married people are not kept and locked away. Not everyone who messages late at night is sending "you up?" messages. Welcome to a world where people have friends in different time zones, friends who are bored on a night shift etc. I'm a night owl. Most of my friends are too. If the SOLE reason a partner got suspicious was the time of day my night shift friend sent me a meme I'd be ticked. The swipe and lie? THAT is a reason and gut instinct paid off. But what an archaic view to have about what's "proper" for attached people.

I'm one of those people who say "Why is X messaging me at this time of night?" and showing the message and reply. Not because I'm scared my partner will think I'm cheating, more a "they have no idea of time". If my partner wanted to look through my phone I'd be pissed off, but I'd let them look then go "happy now?"

STORY 1: OP's wife has been cheating on him for 5 years. No one stays in contact with their side piece for 5 years unless they're still screwing. OP is unfortunately naive but better late than never. At least he's divorcing her

OP’s boss tells OP she’s ‘too big for her race.’ Huh? What tf does that even mean?! I am aware there are definitely body/physical stereotypes, but I’ve never heard a person implying being “big” is ok for one race yet unacceptable for another…
Racism mixed with body shaming; what an absolutely miserable person. I’m surprised HR didn’t get rid of her much sooner, not because they care about the victim(s!) but because she sounds like _multiple_ lawsuits just waiting to happen, at least in the US.
I am having trouble wrapping my head around it, no matter how hard I try. Like… it’s such a bizarre yet specific insult.

Yeah, I know for some Asian folks (Vietnam, Japan etc.) being small is normal / average and Western S size may be their XL or something, and that some parents shame their kids for being bigger, what would've been considered only medium or small size in the West, not even large. Asians tell about this on the internet, make vidoes (on the top of my head I can name Uyen Ninh who compares Vietnam and Germany in her many, many videos and shorts, but I remember seeing more shorts dealing more directly with the topic and in less fun way than Uyen does) and comments. But I never heard such comments directed to someone of other culture / colour, it's between themselves.
I'm also surprised they kept her for that long, it really were multiple lawsuits waiting to happen.

Some people are so pathetic. AITA if I called someone a jerk, after they punched me in the face for no reason?
The proper response was to immediately, physically, remove the phone from her possession by ANY means necessary.
Then let her know that she won’t be getting it back until I’ve gone through it. If she won’t give up the password, I’ll take it somewhere. If you’re smart, the phones are in both names, and it’s legally yours.

I don't understand why a person would not confront their partner on the spot when they see something dodgy. If you don't, you just give them time to delete everything and lie to your face so you can come to Reddit and cry all shocked about how you didn't see that coming 😅
You see you ask. Don't just see, make thousands of scenarios in your head for days then confront them. Are people really that thick? It's common sense to ask on the spot and not weeks later.

That sketchy explanation, plus the fact that she deleted from archives is pretty incriminating. She’s been sexting at the least. Check the bank balances and transactions. And LORD I hate manipulative cryers. That pisses me off more than yelling. And even if she’s truthful that it only happened that once in an emotional situation, the fact that she’s still in contact with the guy should tell you she’s not done with the guy. Your choice whether you want to work through it-lots of people do manage to save their marriages after an affair, but IMO the trust is gone.

An old high-school friend i had to block, he knew i was married and very happily. He started to make lude comments to pictures, at first i thought he was just being ironic, cause that tended to be his personality, then he started to DM me constantly, at first it was innocent, about shit we talked about when we were teens, but then he started to send crazy messages, i showed my husband cause i wasn't sure if i was being over sensitive about, he said no, he was being gross and a jerk, blocked him right after talking with my husband. Talked to other female friends in our group and apparently he had been doing the same to them as well, why? Ugh. Haven't talked to him in 8 years, he was a great friend but nope, i love my husband.

Yeah, I was a wreck when my mom passed away suddenly.
But I sought comfort and pleasure from my partner, because why the hell would I go elsewhere?! So gross.
I love her. I would never want to disrespect her.
And she has done the same with me when her parents passed away.
Grief is not an excuse for cheating, not even being "too drunk" is a valid excuse!
I've had alcohol poisoning a couple times and I was still able to understand what actions would be bad.
Cheaters will cheat, no matter what. And if they do it once they will most likely do so again & again.
And sadly in this case it is not just the spouse that is suffering from her actions but the children also. She is breaking her family.
I hope Op doesn't do the common, and very stupid thing, thing by "keeping the infidelity" a secret, because at some point she won't and she'll make Op out to be the unfaithful one, or claim he was abusive or emotionally/physically neglectful.
Cheaters do that bs all the freaking time! Stop it before it starts, that's the only good thing to do.

How do you repair a marriage where cheating has occurred without separation or divorce being on the table? What is the incentive for the cheating spouse to correct and atone for their behavior?
I had an acquaintance that was in a relationship with a partner who cheated repeatedly and she told him she would never leave him. I was like why did you tell him that? He won’t stop until he’s tired of running around now because there aren’t any immediate consequences for him that have an impact that he cares about.
Every relationship should have standards that everyone involved knows that although I will love you forever that doesn’t mean that I will live with you forever through disrespect, abuse, dishonesty or cheating.

If the wife was truly 100% regretting what she did then she wouldve cut ALL contact with the lover, she'd want to get as far away from his as possible no matter how long it had, supposedly, been since she cheated.
Also, only happened once? Suuuuuure it did. Imo theres about a 5% chance it was a one off. Yes, unfortunately mistakes do happen & you learn ur lesson, grow from it & move on & try to improve urself. You DO NOT keep in contact with that person out of courtesy or anything else, youd cut them from ur life & keep as far away as posible. Shes lying & trickle truthing imo
