@@alexmcgaugh9436 nope still a huge impact. He averaged like 32 points and 15 rebounds against IU. Yes purdue lost close ones. But they were just 2 regular season games. No one remembers or cares about regular season games individually. Purdue won 9 straight against IU a few years ago, and 12 out of 13, no one remembers that or cares. I didn't remember it but just heard it the other day. Purdues only goals were to win Big 10 championships. They won the regular season Big 10 championship by THREE games over everyone in the league. Then they won the post season big 10 championship. They got all of the championships, trophies, and the national player of the year. It's cool for IU that they won both of the games against Purdue, but they were IU's SUPER BOWLS. IU has never played the way they did in those games since. They played those games like they were Big 10 tournament championship game finals.... and it cost them as they had no consistency thereafter. So congrats to them on a couple meaningless regular season games no one will remember, but it's a marathon not a sprint in regards to winning Big 10 titles like purdue does better than anyone. This was supposed to be IU's season too; TJD and Hood Schifino are their entire team, they are lucky TJD even came back for his senior year. But BOTH of them are gone now; IU going back to being bleh next year. Meanwhile Edey will probably come back for his senior year, so buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
The NBA scouts are said to be concerned about his lack of mobility, but as far as quickness and mobility are concerned, he is no worse than Jokic. I'd love it if he could go to Golden State and get mentored by Draymond Green. These big guys tend to be overly gentle, but maybe Draymond Green could teach him to be mean and nasty.
@@rickmecklenturd7137 He is actually a better shot blocker than Jokic already. Right now there is no comparison, but Edey is just a college boy. Wow, this kid has size and perfect body unlike all other bigman to dominate the game. I watched the entire 10-mins highlight of his game and very disappointed that he only had 9 scores where he initiated the moves. This tells me he don't got post moves and depends largely on perfect opportunity to score. I am not surprised they lost in the NCAA tournament just like other bigmen dominant teams like Arizona and Kansas. Easy formulae to beat such team is cut off the assists and challenge the bigmen to beat you. They fail most of the time. Point to note though; he understand the game and need to be pushed more to relay on the Side Reverse Dribble Move and finish with a jump hookshot since I noticed he cannot palm a basketball. Also, he needs to work on his footwork (jump rope). His individual moves are off balance. All in all, great athlete and I would love to work with him on individual post moves.
Good points......jumping rope is so good for foot work and cordination. Just imagine if he masters the baby hook. He seems to seal pretty well when the ball moves around the perimeter. That in itself is a good skill many players don't take advantage of. Good points
He could be the best player in college but the nba is weird about whether want. Atleast he is foreign. Those guys get more of a chance than American non narrative guys.
It’s funny seeing him playing because he kinda just stands there and reaches his hand up to slap the ball. He doesn’t really look very skillful compared to the other people shown through this clip, he’s just taller than the rest
@@hamcav2171 out of your mind. He’s projected second round and to be a pick somewhere in the fifties. He didn’t even hire an agent so he knows he’s not getting picked. His footwork is horrible.
