@@parallel2795 It was the soviets who made the allied liberation of west Europe possible by weakening the german army. If it wasn't for them, the Germans would have had a much better chance at defeating the allied invasions. Also, the soldiers of the red army can't really be blamed for the actions of Stalin after the war. But as someone from the eastern bloc I can tell you communist rule was way better than nazi rule.

In fact, right when the German armies were deploying on the Russian borders, Stalin still refused to believe that Hitler would betray him. You mean those soviet red army soldiers that raped their way across Eastern europe into Germany in the end? Millions of innocent women and children suffered unspeakable horror at the hands of the soviet "liberators". Rape victims were not just Germans. Polish women also suffered. So did young Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian women who had been sent back to German-controlled territory by the Wehrmacht for slave labour. While the German military were the ones that brought the war about and caused much suffering during the war, there is no excusing the disgusting behaviour of the Red Army during the final months of the war. Had the Soviet people truly been morally superior to their vanquished foes, they would not have behaved as such monsters towards defenseless women (and children). Ultimately when it comes right down to it, the Soviets had power over other people and along with that immense power came an opportunity to exercise that power for good or evil. It's obvious that the opportunity to treat the people they had conquered humanely was not seen as being worthwhile and only satisfying their most base desires interested the victorious, drunken mass of men (and women) known as the Red Army. It is a great tragedy and shame that barbarity of that reprehensible nature claimed the hearts of the Soviet forces in the end. As far as I'm concerned, the rapists that ran wild unchecked betrayed the memories of all the Soviet people that had died to rid their homeland of the German invaders. Those fallen soldiers had not given their lives so that their surviving comrades could rape with impunity once the struggle was finally over, that's for sure.

in general, I want to say that the USSR was such a country that it was much more terrible than Nazi Germany, this country even did not put its soldiers during World War II into anything, every soldier who was captured by the Germans and if he managed to somehow escape back to the army of the USSR then immediately killed him because all refugees from German captivity were considered traitors and enemies of the people.
There is nothing special to be proud of. This country drowned its own people in blood. Especially terrible times were during the reign of Stalin, this is the country of the USSR, a country that shot people for their opinion.

It was their sacrifice, whether it was noble or otherwise, that won the allies World War 2. Nukes wouldn't have stopped Germany because with all the resources they weren't wasting fighting in the Eastern Front, they would've built enough planes for the Luftwaffe to shoot down any bombers. ICBMs came about thanks to German scientists, former Nazis, so it would take much longer to acquire those. With the allies Germany first doctrine, not only would they be stuck in Europe and Africa as Germany could push them out and repel their nuclear bombers, but Japan would be left to go crazy in Asia. The world would suffer the horrors of Japan for much longer. If you thought the USSR or Germany were bad, they don't compare to Japan. So like them or hate them, one has to respect the Soviet contribution which may have saved the world. Also Hitler being dumb enough to attack the USSR helps a lot

my grandfather was a soldier on the border with Germany when WW2 started, they fought great but unfortunately got captured and was sent to war prisoners camp, nearly starved to death got tortured but survived and escaped from the camp after recovering he went back to the front line to fight.He got a second tier medal for fighting in the war, he unfortunately passes away a few years ago but his and millions more memories will be remembered as heroes. Не раздумывая скинули ядерную бомбу на Хиросиму и Нагасаки, только в целях запугать СССР и испытать на живых людях. Это не братья, а предатели. Вся Америка плясала после распада Советского Союза. А не посредственно сам президент на тот момент, называл это великой победой США, и то что они выиграли в этой гонке и пришли первыми. Это еще не говоря о том сколько же у них было планов по сбросу атомной бомбы на СССР. Там обозначались ключевые стратегически расположенные базы, инфраструктура, промышленно производственные заводы, много населенные города ( просто что бы погибло больше не винных граждан ). Вот так и друзья, и партнеры. Да и честно говоря Америка почти и не участвовала в ВОВ, и потери со всего дружеского состава, не в какую не идут с потерями СССР. Ну а дальше вы и сами все знаете. Альянс НАТО, который еще со времен конца ВОВ, стремительно наращивал свое присутствие во круг границ СССР, и располагал на самых близких граница то самое ядерное оружие. Но скинутые 2 бомбы на итак уже по факту проигранную войну Японии, заставляет призадуматься, тем более что даже 10 Плутониевых бомб не смогли в бы в полной мере нанести значительный ущерб СССР. Да и скорее всего приоритетом стоял бы перехват бомба носителя. А наращивание ядерных единиц было стремительным. Так что вопрос об экономической сложности в производстве ядерки косвенный. То что они за пару лет имели более 100 бомб это факт. Так что уже готовые ядерные бомбы вполне могли подтолкнуть США на то время скинуть их на СССР, как они и сделали опять же с Хиросимой, и Нагасаки. My grandfather took part in the Battle of Kursk and took part in the Battle of Stalingrad. And thank God my grandfather survived even if he was hit in the leg by a bullet. I am proud that I am the grandson of a winner .

Soviet soldiers fought against the entire army of a united Europe (Romania, Germany, Finland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, volunteers from Spain and France, various collaborationist movements). The war affected every Soviet family, whole generations died on the fronts. My ancestors also fought in that war: one great-grandfather liberated Belgrade, Vienna, Budapest, the Caucasus and Ukraine, the second went through the Kursk battle and liberated Poland. @@stephmod7434 It was made in 1941, a few days before the Nazi invasion by order of Stalin, the party already knew the war was coming, it was a matter of days or weeks, and for morale Stalin had that song made. Fascist as a term did not even exsist during the Russian revolution.

Russian during the military operation in Ukraine did not use traditional Russian military methods of overwhelming firepower and complete destruction of the enemy in fear of civilian casualties thus sacrificing the safety of its own military units.... Generally Russian military doctrine was not used in Ukraine.

You mean those soviet red army soldiers that raped their way across Eastern europe into Germany in the end? Millions of innocent women and children suffered unspeakable horror at the hands of the soviet "liberators". Rape victims were not just Germans. Polish women also suffered. So did young Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian women who had been sent back to German-controlled territory by the Wehrmacht for slave labour. While the German military were the ones that brought the war about and caused much suffering during the war, there is no excusing the disgusting behaviour of the Red Army during the final months of the war. Had the Soviet people truly been morally superior to their vanquished foes, they would not have behaved as such monsters towards defenseless women (and children). Ultimately when it comes right down to it, the Soviets had power over other people and along with that immense power came an opportunity to exercise that power for good or evil. It's obvious that the opportunity to treat the people they had conquered humanely was not seen as being worthwhile and only satisfying their most base desires interested the victorious, drunken mass of men (and women) known as the Red Army. It is a great tragedy and shame that barbarity of that reprehensible nature claimed the hearts of the Soviet forces in the end. As far as I'm concerned, the rapists that ran wild unchecked betrayed the memories of all the Soviet people that had died to rid their homeland of the German invaders. Those fallen soldiers had not given their lives so that their surviving comrades could rape with impunity once the struggle was finally over, that's for sure.

in general, I want to say that the USSR was such a country that it was much more terrible than Nazi Germany, this country even did not put its soldiers during World War II into anything, every soldier who was captured by the Germans and if he managed to somehow escape back to the army of the USSR then immediately killed him because all refugees from German captivity were considered traitors and enemies of the people.
There is nothing special to be proud of. This country drowned its own people in blood. Especially terrible times were during the reign of Stalin, this is the country of the USSR, a country that shot people for their opinion.

It was their sacrifice, whether it was noble or otherwise, that won the allies World War 2. Nukes wouldn't have stopped Germany because with all the resources they weren't wasting fighting in the Eastern Front, they would've built enough planes for the Luftwaffe to shoot down any bombers.
ICBMs came about thanks to German scientists, former Nazis, so it would take much longer to acquire those. With the allies Germany first doctrine, not only would they be stuck in Europe and Africa as Germany could push them out and repel their nuclear bombers, but Japan would be left to go crazy in Asia. The world would suffer the horrors of Japan for much longer.
If you thought the USSR or Germany were bad, they don't compare to Japan.
So like them or hate them, one has to respect the Soviet contribution which may have saved the world. Also Hitler being dumb enough to attack the USSR helps a lot

my grandfather was a soldier on the border with Germany when WW2 started, they fought great but unfortunately got captured and was sent to war prisoners camp, nearly starved to death got tortured but survived and escaped from the camp after recovering he went back to the front line to fight.He got a second tier medal for fighting in the war, he unfortunately passes away a few years ago but his and millions more memories will be remembered as heroes. Также следует отметить что разрушительные последствия сброса Ядерной бомбы, в веду особенностей рельефа местности, и тесные застройки домов преимущественно из дерева, играли свою роль. Думаю тут понятно что халупы из дерева, в сравнении с крупными застройками из кирпича, это так же и разные последствия в случае сброса бомбы

Показали результаты лишь на мгновение и никто ничего не сказал об этом опросе - тишина.

Now everyone has been deceived. There is a war on destruction of Slavs and settlement of their lands by foreigners from the east. The government of my country consciously plays this game and turns a blind eye to all lawlessness inside the country.
