Na ja - der Mainstream legt Stings Worte über den sog. Ukraine-Krieg dahingehend aus, dass *Putin* der Tyrann sei, der die Lüge von einer angeblichen Entnazifizierung des Landes als Vorwand benutzt.
Dass Sting allerdings von einer Gefahr für die Demokratie in JEDEM Land der Welt gesprochen hat, wird dabei gerne unterschlagen.
Vielleicht hätte er etwas konkreter werden müssen. So jedoch kann der Mainstream genau die Bedeutung hineininterpretieren, die ihm halt in den Kram passt. Und was *nicht* passt, wird schlechterdings weggelassen.

But the alternative, (absolute) certainty about the right way and that "I" know it for sure is the first step to violence.

What's the lie about the basis of the ukraine war?
the lie is that Putin wanted to start a war for no reason. His people have been bombarded at least since 2014. Ukraine broke the Minsk agreement not to bomb eastern Ukraine but nazis cant be stopped with a few rules, so Russia was left with no choice but save it's civilians from Ukraine war crimes. I have no idea from his vague speech which side Sting falls on, but we can only hope it at least makes a few people think and check facts before waving their flags, but i doubt it

Where was sting and his bromides when the US was killing in the name of democracy in Iraq, Afghanistan, and supporting proxy regimes in Ukraine and genocide in Gaza. Flowery sentiments segueing to songs don't cut the mustard.
