For everyone not knowing. This episode was the director debute of Elizabeth Henstridge the actress who plays Jemma Simmons
it's probably one of my best episodes of shield
What does that mean
@@lucysteel2686 in simple terms. the name of the actress who plays Jemma Simmons is Elizabeth Henstridge. She directed this episode. Because Elizabeth Henstridge has never directed something before and this is her first time directing it is also called a Directors Debut.
Enoch's "disappointed parent" facial expression after he realises Sousa is lying to him is amazing. xD
One of the best episodes of Shield. Elizabeth Henstridge knocked it out of the park.
What I loved about the Daisy/Sousa thing in this episode is that the time loops gave Daisy time to know him better and see what type of man he really is. She has had bad luck with men and has probably been intentionally keeping herself from connecting emotionally with a man. She had a flirty crush thing on Ward but he betrayed the team. She loved Lincoln but he died, sacrificing himself to save her and the world. If you go back further, her old hacker boyfriend betrayed the values she believed in and it cost an innocent agent their life, plus what was done to “Scorch”. She also lost her mom who went crazy and tried to kill her, her father had his memories wiped, and Tripp died trying to save her. That girl has some serious emotional baggage. Being in the loop and seeing Sousa stay with her and stand by her over and over gave her time to let her guard down and be vulnerable. That’s my opinion anyways. 😁
Double everything you said here, Daisy deserves a way to safely navigate all that. On top of this, it even provides Sousa some character development, even beyond his time in Agent Carter.
Him spending time with Peggy and saving the world from the Darkforce/Zero Matter taught him to stand by those he cares about no matter what, and we can see that even 8 years later (his time), he has solidified those beliefs. From his sacrifice to save Daisy from Nathaniel in an earlier episode despite his leg to his unflinching willingness to help her in this one, Sousa has become one of the most steadfast characters in the entire MCU. Knowing that he’s out there now with Daisy being a galactic ambassador, I’d say he deserves that position (and Daisy sure as hell deserves him).
So, the sequence where they keep getting beaten by Enoch had me clutching my ribs laughing
I loved the "dead deek" part the most. Dark humor at its best.
God the writers of this show handles comedy and drama better than the movies sometimes
This show makes me so emotional I can't take it
Oh Enoch... you truly were beautiful until the end 😢
As he's always been.
Loved having a Groundhog Day episode. Actor who played Enoch was amazing since day 1.
As he's always been.
3 years later and this episode still gets me in the feels.
I think that Sousa is the only character that Eric isn't jealous or upset to be with Daisy. XD he was Jealous of Ward, he thought Lincoln didn't deserve her, but Sousa is just perfect.
Enoch is the best 🥺
The actor who played him is a legend as well.
As he's always been.
Joel Stoffer is stunning
After watching the Loki season 2 finale, this episode hits me just as hard, if not more. There are so many parallels between Loki and Enoch’s sacrifices- they have tried everything to change the outcome, they both willingly sacrifice themselves (Enoch for his life, Loki for eternal loneliness powering the timelines) even though it scares them, and both episodes bring up a LOT of existential questions (hard choices, free will, death, living eternally, etc). Both series’ do the time loops SO good and they’re SO well-written, but tbh AOS always destroys me emotionally in a way that Loki hasn’t been able to. But maybe I’m just biased because AOS is my favorite show lol
Nah, you are right, AoS has far more emotional impact. Kudos to the great character development.
Don't mind watching this reaction again! :)
Yeah what happened?
@@sunsgettingreallow8318 Must be copyright strike. So they had to edit.
This is one of the greatest episodes of any show I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
I am here in 2021, and this episode is so good and Enoch breaks my heart :')
Sidenote: in this episode i was sure they laid some groundwork for LMDCoulsons ending, which in my opinion should've been to choose not to live and power down.
I have been, and always shall be your friend.
Took me a while to see it, but there was a lot of
Wrath of Khan here...
God, i enjoyed this episode so much. First it was oh, whats going on and funny moments like mad Coulson, then who is the murderer, then the fight against Enoch and then his sacrifice..
I came here to watch the best time loop episode in existence after the Loki finale hehe
My sweet boy Enoch...
I never saw this the first time. Thanks for the redo.
the fact that Enok said it will be their last mission together is of course because it's the last season. but it's also because if they were having more missions together after the final episode, why wouldn't they have a new season after that. it's like, they are splitting up so there is no reason to keep going with new seasons after that. if they kept the group together after, people watching would be like "yeah but we would like to see that". so now there are no more reason to keep going.
Thought this was the new episode lol
Maybe copyright strike. Had to edit the video, maybe?
@@vampirethespiderbatgod9740 repost of the reaction from the back up channel
@@thenerdsarecoming Oh! I didn't think about that. Again, I was off for almost 7-8 months on the reaction stuff :) I need to update myself heheh
Some of my favourite episodes are episodes like this.
I love this episode. It's hilarious, emotional, and just plain great.
Still, even though I don't want them to change it, it does seem to have a fundamental flaw. Coulson has been rebuilt using a machine they appear to have. When he was blown up, there was nothing left of him, so they even had to use past memories built build him back.
So, that machine would have built a power core for him. Also, they have his memory stored somewhere.
Could they not have done that for Enoch? Save his memory, built a new core to replace the one he gave them, and then reboot him?
To my understanding, Coulson is part LMD, part Chronicom. Not full blown Chronicom. He was just made using some more advanced Chronicom hardware. This was enough for it to make sense to me, but make of it what you will.
@@drisch314 ya. That kind of makes more sense. Then the machine building himnmakes more sense too. They could have confiscated one of the machines used to build LMDs in season 4 and had the design specs left around for it.
To what end? To nullify his sacrifice? Let Enoch die as the hero he wanted to be.
I clicked on this video so fast thinking it was the reaction on episode 11. I soon realized my mistake.
Same lol
The actor who played Li is Byron Mann who you would also recognize from season 1 of Arrow as he played Yao Fei. He also returned for 1 episode of season 8.
I knew this was a time loop immediately because they had a time loop in one episode of Voltron and it used the exact same shot of the shop in the wormhole
amazing episode, reminds me of groundhog day on legends of tomorrow
17:01 Not possibly. It was certain. Phil was angry af for not waking him up every time . At that, he only knew 87 time which he experienced. It might have been even more than 87.
Remember This episode for finale season of loki! Is equal!!!
when ever you are in a timetravel adventure, implement codeword "Groundhoug Day", for a use in this situation, so everyone can be at speed with 1 codeword ;P
Wave
My eyes are leaking.
Here (04/30/23) thank you for the reaction. ❤😂🎉😢
They seem to have an endless amount of LMD and Chronicom hardware to keep on building more and more Coulsons, on top of other people as well.. So you're telling me they didn't have even one of those back up heart replacements for Enoch? I know the show's coming to an end so they have to finish character arcs and kill them off, but c'mon.. I liked Enoch and i felt bad that they left him alone for like 40 some years
Not in the time that they had, no. Once Enoch removed his "heart" to save his friends, that was it.
Thought this was the 7x11 reaction
Blind
Enoch's death is upsetting, but it was an intentional sacrifice for the good of the team. The ones that are taken out without benefit to others hit harder, so Enoch ranks below Trip and Davis.
Didnt they post this video already?
Yeah that’s what I thought too?
It was posted on the Back up channel, because they were blocked from posting videos on the main channel. Now they are reposting the videos that were uploaded there onto the main channel.
@@RokNDragon What's their backup channel?
@@tekcomputing ua-cam.com/channels/nvJVzZFFEjX9fNZFXzQbfw.html They had several videos uploaded there, but it looks like many recent ones have been hidden. The main page's Community tab directly linked many of the videos on that backup channel, and they are still up, just unlisted.
I really hate watch Eric cry, it makes everything so much worse
Episode 2 May kicks Enochs ass, through out the whole season Mac, Colson, and Daisy, takes out the robots easy, but now Enoch can pick out the entire team. I love the show but this episode was very inconsistent
Its possible that whenever anyone bring up about the implant , he switches to a more powerful mode or something
It's not like Enoch was trying to kill May when they fought.. his intent here vs episode 2 is significantly different and could address that specific fight
@@SomeRandomMario Exactly! I thought that was pretty easy to explain.
He was in instant kill mode
"Where did he get all those weapons?" -Agent Sousa
Enoch probably is stronger than what he appears to be, his fight with May was a lot more tame because his objective was to subdue her without causing significant damage; while in this case, he was ordered to protect the implant *at all cost* .
