    me again. so i used to play drums for this band back in late 2000s. we played a lot of british rock revivalist style music, like the brian jonestown massacre. this is what our guitar player mostly used. that casino sounded soooo damn good through his marshall 4x12. i remember him using the natural feedback to make some really cool noises. got a lot of complaints from the neighbors. ahhh memories :)

    Always great to see a new video from James G. I love the sound you get from those Casinos.

    Very nice job on this review. I just bought one of these and for really not much money it’s a pretty striking axe with a real nostalgic feel and sound. I hope I’ll play it as much as I just like looking at it, but I suspect it will be loved. Thanks.

    Cool! I bought the sunburst and modded it a bit (Lollar P90s / 50s wiring / bone nut) and love it. The neck is absolutely perfect for me. I'm more of a rhythm player so the 'shorter' neck is ideal - don't need the high notes. Enjoying your vids, thanksalot!

    Hello ,Id like to know the difference between this one and Epiphone ES335

      @tarpley-music  4 місяці тому +2

      ES-335 is a semi-hollow with center block, the Casino is completely hollow. - The ES-335 has better access to the high notes with the fingerboard being farther outboard of the body, but the Casino has better balance and is lighter with its more compact design. - The ES-335 has humbuckers, and the Casino has P90s.
      They’re honestly two very different instruments.

    Definitely a low gain guitar. Sounds great with just a touch of brass

      This particular Casino is Made in China. They don’t make them in Korea anymore, and the US Casino is 5x the price.

      @@tarpley-music This guitar sounds no worse than it was made, even if it was made in China

      Other folk also hear that guitar sound as one of the two Fender Sonic Blue Strats that John and George acquired around the beginning of 1965 or George's Varitone equipped Gibson ES-345...

      T'were done on 2 stats, and with the mixing consoles treble maxed out, fed back in and treble maxed again, according to Paul.

      It was done on the sonic blue fender strats john and George picked up in 1965.
