Oh Nina ..(no words!!) The last pages are quite boho I thought. Also if you just put some lilies on some they would look like Monet.. Love this video Thank you. Keep safe
Thank you so much Nina I really really enjoyed watching you create those master board’s. They are really really stunning and beautiful too, I’m going to try to create some of my own too. Don’t know how I missed this one but I’m really really glad I found it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Good morning nina, sweet memories, this is what made me follow your channel some time ago now, the coloured painted backgrounds. Never stopped making them, it is always magic, just do it and see what happens , remember I called them motherboards .....ha ha. Sometimes I make "washitapes" of them , every little peace if them gets used. You are so good in combining colours and as you say it is so good to not overthink, so every now and then...make backgrounds...Speaking of colours, we woke up in a white world today and this time, it is going to stay(yeah), we are going to have a cold week So outdoors the white and indoors...colour. Have a good week nina, stay safe, hugs and kisses lena xxx
Good morning Lena. There is nothing more therapeutic than grabbing a few paints and a pile of stencils and mark making tools. You never know what you will end up with and as you say it’s like magic. Haha, yes I remember you calling them motherboards. Many people have woken up to snow here as well, but unfortunately none for us here in Worcester 😕. Enjoy it whilst it lasts. Have a wonderful week, love and hugs ❄️❄️❄️💕 xxx
Good morning Nina. These are gorgeous masterboards. You show how fun and easy it is to play with paint to create beautiful and unique designs in masterboards.
Nina, this was so cool! In the past, I loved your paper and paint master boards. Never thought about just scraping and using paints by themselves. It's weird, but the more you added to some of these, the more certain stencils, like the pale blue leaves (17.21) really stood out from the "noise". Quite an amazing technique. Wondering of you were ever an interior designer in a past life. You ROCKED it, Nina!
These are beautiful Nina. I love them! They were lovely without the stencilling but you have elevated the two with your clever stencilling. Really beautiful. Thanks for sharing 💗
O my goodness! I have never scraped paint on paper like this before. The results are beautiful! I will definitely try this method! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Oh my goodness! Not see you do these for ages 😊.I have so many master boards and used to print copies of them all,but last year I started cutting the originals and using them,as the pile was getting so big 😂.Love all of the ones you have done 😁X
Haha, I think the last one I did was a year ago, the circles one. I really enjoyed making these, but you should have seen the mess in my craft room afterwards! I’ll share some photo’s on Facebook 💕🤣 xxx
Hello Nina. Those master boards turned out spectacular! I hope to be able to do some of these soon! You’re an inspiration! Thank you for all you do. I can’t wait to see your next video. Have a wonderful day and keep safe.
These four papers go so well together. I love the one you plan on working on next. It is so abstract looking. On a large scale, it would be great by itself. Enjoyed this video. Thanks.
Thank you so much Nina, I really really love ❤️ those painty paper’s for master-boards they are really really stunning and gorgeous too....and as you say so therapeutic too. And I really will try to get some done to. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags You and Kylie make such a brilliant team.
Thanks so much Mags. I think this is one of my all time favourite projects to do. Glad you Think Kylie and I make a good team as we do too. Have a great week 💕 xxx
Hi Nina. I absolutely adore these painted masterboards. I love to make them myself and every now and again I create a gorgeous one. It is just so much fun. TFS and please make some more during the year,
Oh these master boards are gorgeous, Nina. It's something I love to do too, but I haven't made any for a while. Great challenge this week. Many thanks.
I love your colour choices and using a card to scrape the paint gives you such a great starting point. It's magical watching how all the layers bring it all together. I'm looking forward to trying this one x
Thankyou soooo much !!!! You’re an awesome amazing and wonderful teacher xx As soon as I find a space on my craft table I’m going to have a play with my paints.
Amazing how much depth and dimension comes from just slowly building up simple layers. They're all gorgeous, but I found myself gravitating toward the ones with contrasty colors. Imagining these as fabrics for a Hawaiian style shirt.
I love everything you do, but your painty master boards are always sublime. I think this is one area you really do just go with the flow and not overthink things and the end results show this. Thank you Nina 💕💫
It's so great to see you painting again. I love your style so much. I'm not on FB anymore, but I'll definitely be doing a video on this months prompt!!
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I got tired of all the negativity. I have no regrets. Its been great for my mental health. But, I do miss being in the Mixed Media Emporium.
Can I come and play at your house lol. You have the most amazing tools to play with, the leaf stencil especially, your choices were perfect. And your masterboards are perfect too. Will have to have a rummage round and see what I can come up with. Tfs xo
Beautiful, Nina! Master boards are wonderful pieces to use in all sorts of art projects and I look forward to making some for this week’s prompt. Never can have too many boards, especially when embellished with different stencils and stamps. I hope lots of us will continue to work in our journals and share with the group. I figure, I will make a copy of a master board and create a page. I’m not nearly finished with my journal. BTW, the beautiful fox handmade paper fell apart on the folds between the cover and spine, and I couldn’t really fix it. So, I’ll have to make another cover. Gee, maybe a master board! Have a grand ‘ole week in lock down, and hopefully, you can make loads of art pieces. Hugs
Thanks Cheryl, I love the ones you made too! Kylie and I will both continue to work on our journals and share new pages in the group in the hope that others will be encouraged to finish theirs too. What a shame your fox paper fell apart. My paper started to crack at the spine as well, so I added burlap to the spine to cover it and ended up preferring how it looked. I hope you are able to fix yours too. Have a great week 💕 xo
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I’m glad you’ll continue to encourage folks to work and share their journals. I placed some burlap along the spine and it looks great from the outside, although the inside needs more work. I really don’t want to remake the cover....
I've only just found you. How amazing you are. Loved all your backgrounds and look forward to seeing more. I may even get up the courage to try one or two of my own.
Absolutely LOVE your masterboards, and I am so excited about this weeks prompt! I just love seeing what paints do when you start adding layers, it’s so much fun! I love the surprise when you lift a stencil to see how it looks, this will be fun and relaxing!💕🇨🇦
Ooohhhssshhh! Those colours sing, I'm a sucker for colour! I really love them Nina. Not sure watercolours will have the same depth of colour, but I'm going to give it a go. If it's a miserable failure then I'll get my acrylics out. ❤
Just so beautiful all around. I think my favorite was the one that had all the colors. But the ones you finished off are just stunning. I love how they go together, and your stenciling is fantastic.
Nina, these are gorgeous, I love them. I enjoy making masterboards, I just don't end up using them. I guess I will have to get copies made also and then maybe I will actually use them. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
Thanks Debbie, sometimes it’s just good to make things just for the sake of it and admiring their beauty afterwards. I don’t think I have ever used my originals, but if you can get them printed they often look even better. Have a wonderful week 💕
The blue pages at 5:30 remind me of Van Gogh's Starry Night somehow. (If they were swirled they'd be spot on.) That's just what popped into my head when you showed the finished, dried version. And the "grungy" one in green and blue at 7:08 reminds me of Monet's Water Lilies (his version with these colors). Just beautiful. I'm loving this background technique! And I love what the stencil bits do for them. Yet another layer of goodness. They're all just glorious. Tfs!
Wow, Nina those are beautiful masterboards, I love them. I look forward to seeing what you make from them, they need to be framed as well, great idea to scan and copy them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was delightful! The results are breathtaking! I am so glad you scanned them and are going to get some printed when possible! The colors you selected are perfect, and putting aside the “muddy” as you call them for Autumn was a terrific idea! To think, you created so much beauty with just a plastic card!!! TSF. i did.
