    About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
    Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on UA-cam.
    At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr. Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine.     Chef Hiroyuki Terada is using the Minonokuni Matsu-1573 210mm Yanagi. Super Blue Steel. Can also be used for breaking down whole fish and chickens. But normally for slicing, sashimi, vegetables, meat etc.. This is Chef Hiro's custom specked knife.

    ❤❤This was very interesting to watch. Watching Hiro San prepare a Fugu before....The process was very different. Really enjoyed seeing both Hiro San and Charles watching and both saying something about the liver and parasites. The Spam fried rice looked so yummy. As always it's always so nice to all your Japan adventures. Thank you for always sharing and making such wonderful videos.🙇‍♀🗾🐡🐡

    The cutting method used by the chef in this video is called shin-shoryuken. An old samurai method used specifically for poison puffer fish.

      It's not Shin-Shoryuken, it is the Metsu Hadoken. Common mistake

    if you ever scuba dive in tropical waters those puffers (really porcupine fish) swim right up to you with those large anthopomorphic sad eyes. I have no problem spearing a grouper but I could never eat that guy. 😢

    Sea grapes are fantastic because of the way they pop in the mouth, kind of like flying fish roe, but it is very hard to find in most parts of the United States.

    Is a good thing Hiroyuki Terada that you are a Master because you immediately spotted danger on that puffer fish. Even camera man has learned a lot during the years because he recognized the parasites quickly. Stay safe and enjoy your travels and the cuisine.

    I caught one that looked similar to that in the intracoastal in the Daytona area. The one I caught had shorter spikes and was more brown colored with stripes.

    HIRO,HELLO,that type fish are common in the tropics,you touch them,and BLOW UP,,I never eaten one,if fact never knew,they were edible ,not much meat,on them,after fixing it to fry,
