Thanks for all your videos, I've been getting into Love2D and I'm really enjoying how straightforward everything is, because I get to control everything, unlike some game engines I've used before.

This is such an amazing series! However it's a little sad you don't go into detailed things. It would be nice to know exactly how you do everything in a meticulous matter. Also I wanted to ask, could you do a in depth tutorial on how to use tiled to make a randomly generated indefinite map? It's for a game I'm making
This is good feedback, I appreciate that! I have the script written for the next video, and there is much more code explanation and going into detail about how certain things work. When this video comes out, I'd love to hear if you think it's an improvement!
And unfortunately, I actually don't think I'd fully know how to do procedural generation using Tiled... I'll need to look into that more
@@Challacade That sounds awesome, I can't wait to see the next video! And take your time with the generation thing, I've honestly been doing my game as a hobby because I'm such a amateur with coding xD
Although if you want my take on how the generation might work, within a random aspect at least... Well you'd make more than 1 tilemap and then call each through a script that puts them in an array, which then you'd do a math.random() with the max number being the last map and the lowest number being 1 since I think arrays in lua only can do 1, you'd also have to make sure it stays a whole number. And when you get your number selected, it draws that in a spot that hasn't been drawn into yet. The only issue would be how would you make it so it saves all that data so you can revisit things....

binge watching ur super intresting channel rn, I think It'd be cool if you added a bunch of little easter eggs, like for example inspired by zelda breath of wild, you could have the shopkeeper kill you if you steal or something. idk Just fun little stuff like that is always really good for the life of the game

Awesome man! Only critique I have is that the coin framerate for the animation looks a little out of place. Maybe add some in between frames or speed it up? Keep up the good work!
