Wow ! A Masterpiece of music ! Hans Zimmer is the Mozart of the soundtrack, for me the best soundtrack of the world with "The grande finale" of Danny Elfman or "Time" of Hans Zimmer
The neat thing about this CD is that (assuming the scores they are playing from haven't been altered in any way) it shows what may have been played on the scoring stage without all the extra stuff. Listening to these tracks vs. the actual soundtrack albums, you can hear where things are 'missing' and where it was made bigger by either live overdubs or with samples.
No one shuold be forced to love a piece of music... even one as good as this. Music has to be loved for what it is and if you don't love it, then you might love somthing else entirely. My point is; everyone is different and have different tastes so you don't have to force your girlfriend to love your music. Instead tell her why you love it and try to convince her that the music is good. And donøt become single just because of a music piece... nothing is worth that.
dude, for what this guy's doing, he is damn good, this is not about mozart of beethoven , it's about hans zimmer, do u like his work, yes or not ? period. excellent song, very nicely done
This is absolutely beautiful!!!! I always love this orchetsra's arrangements of Zimmer's glory moments. Zimmer has his weaknesses, but this is one of his great classics! The beauty of discovery, the mystery of the many secrets. If only the film lived up to the music. What a disappointment the film turned out to be. I believe Zimmer's work sounds best with a full on orchestra like this, I just preferred the choir in the Da Vinci Code more. This is beautiful!
@sharpezor As a Catholic it reminds me very much of a song of sacred mysteries being solved! kinda like the universe being unfolded out for us to understand...so beautiful!
my humble opinion: this version is better than the original recording for the film. The tempo is a little faster and the staccato strings is a little "crisper". I've heard many interpretations from Prague Philharmonic, and they are really a top notch orchestra!
