I love this riff by Ian Thornley (Big Wreck). Watch in 4k if you can!! I have removed all the original guitar tracks with Moises. Using the EVH D-Tuna on my Gibson Axcess.
Hey! Awesome playing and tone. You’ve got all the notes perfect! If I may, Ian plays this riff in Open D minor “DADFAD” and half step down, or C#G#C#EG#C#. Keep it up!
Oh man, I am trying on this!! Did I miss a tuning mention? I'm assuming half step down but nope .. full step down? to match your playing??? thought i was quick enough but gotta say, just one "run through riff" to explain your pull offs. Usually I'd get this fairly quick. Guess it's a unique riff. Man, just one time slow would help!!
@@daveh8686 The guy in this video is playing it pretty damn close, but at the very tail end of the riff he is walking it down and hitting an open A before starting the riff over... he should be hitting the open D string right before starting again. Ian plays it as an octave.. the open A doesn't work.. its why I knew it was wrong immediately. Note, the song is Db-minor open tuning, which is BIZARRE to say the least.
I saw them open for Dream Theater in Seattle in 97’. Amazing band! I love the song Ghosts.
Killer riff and killer band. Saw them in Nashville. Great live band.

Neva heard of this tune b4 but very cool brilliant playing as always mark 👍👍
Always a pleasure watching you play Mark 👏🏼👏🏼
Two awesome guitarists in one video :)
Awesome Mark! Love BW but haven't heard this one before. Cool riff.
It's from their second album "The Pleasure and the Greed". 2001
Such an under rated band!!! 🤘✌️
Sounding great Mark and nice guitar!
Thanks D G!

I sure wish that someone would an actual guitar lesson for this instead of a cover. Man, my life would then be complete.
Sweet riffage
I like your guitar tone here way more. What amp did you use in the Fractal?
You should turn down the volume knob a bit and attack harder with the pick
Whats the tuning?
Should be C#G#C#EG#C#.
You aren't playing that correctly.
pls send a link that is. there are few options and I'm frustrated.
