Dean Dr. Harriet Mayanja-Kizza, College of Medicine, Makerere University

Dr. Harriet Mayanja-Kizza, dean of Makerere University Medical School in Uganda, describes how she launched her career after her Fogarty Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, where she received her master's in immunology. She now runs a state-of-the-art laboratory in Kampala with many doctoral and postdoctoral students and international collaborations, all of which stem from her Fogarty links.
