It really makes me incredibly sad to think I might never feel the way I did as a kid again. But I don't think the point of Narnia is just to show how great childhood is- it's to tell us that we can carry the joys and feelings of childhood with us, and that there's a deeper light to be found in the world than we believe at first glance. Plus just think, we get to be Mr. Tumnus, or the beavers, or Proferssor Diggory to the to the kids growing up now. That's a pretty beautiful thought. Anyhow, I hope you all can rediscover some of the joys and hopes of childhood, and be able to carry them with you throughout life ❤
Listening to this on Christmas morning. This is a beautiful version of one of my favourite songs of all time. Merry Christmas, everybody! I hope we all find our own Narnia someday.
Same, but this movie will always be an escape from this world. I wish I could go back to being a child trying to to Narnia from the closet 😔 those where better times
i remember watching movies of narnia so much when i was a child (my childhood) and now i finished all the books. i feel empty. i feel homesick. i just want to go back to narnia.
I saw the first Narnia in theaters when I was seven years old and I’ll never forget it. It was such an amazing experience, seeing the different designs of the creatures and how real some of them looked, and the Battle of Beruna never fails to blow my mind. The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe will forever be one of my top ten films of all-time.
A core memory I will never forget is clapping with almost the entire audience at the end when the screen went dark and the credits rolled. A magical experience in cinema I will always cherish. ❤
I went last week but the border patrol nailed me just beyond the lamp post. They let me know right quick that this was not a sanctuary fantasy land and shoved me arse right back in the closet.
I always noticed how the lyrics to this version were different than the ones on the OST. Yet I could never find this reflected anywhere on the internet...until now!
I can never truly explain the rush of memories I get every single time I listen to this. It was my childhood. I dont think I'll ever get over it, ever. I miss being a child.
Remember seeing this movie and listening to this song when I was in my highschool. Now I am in my 30s, and I really miss the times when I could just see these movies and be amazed and in awe.
I was gifted a first edition of The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe for my 8th Christmas (1995) and a mere 10 years later getting to see the world I’d grown up loving on the big screen was an experience like NO other. Losing my Mom this past April & her being the reason I fell in love with this series, it’s bittersweet how much I miss being that age & being with her. Though I am not religious, I hope she is in Narnia roaming the beautiful world, making bouquets of flowers (she was a florist) and giving them to all who visit as a welcome gift 💔 Momma, I’d give anything to have you here with me & have one of your warm, loving hugs & tell me everything will be okay again.
Reading your words has my heart breaking for you. I pray for your mama & you that you knew/know Jesus Vhrist as your Lird and Savior! He will wipe away every tear from their eyes… 😓🙏❤🥰
