I had/have a Ripstik yellow and black, about 7 years ago from now, one day i was using it on my downhill street, i don't know how but the front wheel (that has colored lights lol) got stuck on a huge pothole, i fell into the front part with my butt and broke it, the truck got broken, the plastic, etc... The wheel it's just loose, and the central axis it's all rusty and stuff but it still rolls, just a little "banged up".

I dont think i saw a single modded board there are a million and one ways to improve them to give them lips by simply removing pieces so you can get more flick out of every varial, every kick flip, even the shove its a bit, hell i dont think i even saw a single grip taped up one but i guess thats cuz its too much grip unless you take the front plastic bumpy design or at least shave it down like i have before. Was very surprised to see them all using the 1st gen torsion bar cover tho for those half ass grinds and clips/stops. Im guessing the dlx or w/e and g ripstiks terrible aluminum covers would just crack with that much force? Id kill to know which versions of the torsion bar each of them were using and why they preferred the ones they ran. I cant believe any of them would be running the first gen torsion bar in them as i believe that was the one that had the least resistance making control impossible as well as the one that had the 2nd biggest problem with metal on metal causing shavings.

I still cant say you guys have done anything better than the ripstik or ripstik g and dlx variants as that was the pique of your caster boarding design/creation. I have plans to start saving again to buy a new one as my last 3 are on their last legs with almost all the plastic shaven off from the crazy carving stuff i do and the caster construction bottoms and tops are clearly getting just torn through at the back where the brute of the force from every pump/push applies the most pressure. Keep in mind i make sure i treat these things like they were my own children, constantly checking them for any excessive wear, always properly cleaning, relubing, regreasing, and even making sure theyve got the best treated and preserved bearings i have. Id say the best bearings always but i cant afford to buy the top end bearings and maintain them these days let alone replace them as id like to to make sure they have the least resistance when rolling. Oh i almost forgot, always making sure to keep 89a 80mm wheels on em to keep the tire shredding/shedding to a minimum and away from the casters so they stay clean and can be cleaned easier lol..... Its too bad you guys probably wont go back and remake the design and utility of those that i love so much. I like the whole wave board u guys got goin but i dont own one and it just doesnt compare to a suped up proper ripstik
