I love this channel because you get straight to the point and also explain everything as if we had no idea what anything meant (which is good because many other creators forget that we don't know what they know)
I got Fl studio 2 weeks ago and I just wanted to say thank you I'm a rapper and I'm tired of paying for studio time for producers who don't produce. Me and my homie produce everything so I figured it was time get my own studio and do it ALL. Beats, mixing and mastering
yes..thanks for your reply.. since I also use fl studio for all my works (especially acapella)--you can see mine if you wish😄😄-- I would like to know how to use limiter correctly. Would you like to make the tutorial and explanation about all the functions/knobs, or you had made it but I haven't watched it.. Thanks .. greet from Indonesia.
I have recently bought fl studio and really wanted to learn how to use it fully and become a good producer for my own music. Your channel and videos are incredible! Thank you for you help!
Olle Larsson That's great, I often find that I think I know how something works but then I figure out something new and it's always great when that happens
Straight up, I now basically have trust issues with any other channel that is not this one. Haha I just always know that this channel is always gonna give me all the info I need yet without taking an hour to do it in a confusing manner. Props to a IN THE MIX! By far the best tutorial channel on UA-cam! Busy works beats is a close 2nd but sometimes he just forgets that not everyone has been doing this for years. In The Mix is always simple to understand and like I said also always quick and to the point👍👍👍
Love your stuff man, every time I need to learn something new I punch it in and see that you've got a video for it! You blow me away man with how selfless you are with your knowledge. I pray for some blessing in your life, in whatever area you need it man. Jesus loves you:) Thanks for what you do.
Very informative tutorial. I am guilty of that low shelfing technique and you did an excellent job of clearing that up for me. Thank you for taking the time out to do these tutorial videos. I appreciate it.
This is really helpful! I started making music for about a year now, but I still don't get it. After I watched this video, it helped me understand so much more. So, thank you!
I've been using it for years ,this video has everything to know about this EQ , and from FL 12.4 , it got two other options whch are: -Frequency labelling for all keys -Ability of resizing that's really a great EQ but you have to use it carefully
These videos are helping me a lot! I did some stuff until 2015 and now I'm resuming some ideas I have. But FL Studio has changed a lot since then :)) Cheers!
youll get more subs bro ,,,,,, your tutorials are epic ,,,its like expensive, costly and high quality music school stuff...thanks for this very big help
This has to be THE best explanation of this plugin...thank u for this. Is it possible u can explain the multi-band compressor plugin in fl or at least how u use compression in general? Understanding it would really help me. Again, thanks a bunch for sharing your knowledge and talent with the world. Looking forward to more videos...
HELLO MIKE,THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.I STARTED PRODUCING MUSIC AT THE SAME TIME WHEN U STARTED MAKING YOUR VIDEOS.SO,I JUST LEARN A LOT FROM YOUR VIDEOS.I DON'T WATCH OTHER CHANNEL'S TUTORIALS.I JUST WATCH YOURS BECAUSE IT FEELS COMFORTABLE TO WATCH.MAKE YOUR NEXT TUTORIALS ON COMPRESSION,SATURATION AND VOCAL CHOPPING.THANK YOU.
Nice video sir... but I have some questions, when do we use parametric eq 2 and why we use it? I'm confused when I need to use it or not. Thanks for the video...
The best example would be EQing the kick and sub. Since the kick and sub both take up low frequencies they tend to compete with the space. So you would want to use subtractive EQing to remove the sub frequencies from the kick and make cuts in the sub so that the kick still sounds punchy. You can pair this with side chaining as well so that the sub and kick sit nicely together. An analogy that always stuck well with me is that your song is basically a puzzle and each piece represents a different instrument like the kick, snare, hats, pads, sub etc. Each piece needs to fit within the frequency range so that they do not try to overlap each other. Hope that helps!
I discovered your channel yesterday...I have stayed up ALL NIGHT binge watching! LOL! Your grasp of FL STUDIO and more importantly, the ease with which you translate and teach it is phenomenal! A lot of people look at FL STUDIO as a "kids program" but the things you're doing and the results you're achieving are truly remarkable. Do you record your vocals in FL STUDIO as well? It seems like quite a few producers make their music in FL and opt to record vocals in another DAW. Thanks for creating these incredible videos. Keep 'em coming!
I can tell you are a good teacher, but I know very little about any of these vocabulary words you've been using; however, I do wish to learn and don't know where to start. Can you please point me in the direction on where to go learn if I never used a DAW in my life? I would gladly appreciate, thank you !
This video was amazing and so helpful but one thing i don't get is how one eq can sound different from another. Aren't they doing the exact same thing?
Really struggling with getting a kick drum to cut through a remix I'm doing so this was a great tutorial for me. I'm using the mini pops drums in Flex (it's a Jarre remix) and the kick drum is completely lost behind my bass
You forgot the filter options under Key.. I like to use this feature to lowcut a 3rd or 5th under the fundamental precisely. Good for cutting exactly in key of your tracks elements. As long things are in tune..
Does any one know why when i use parametic eq 2 my vocals cut out when im mix and mastering and once i export in a part of the song my vocals cut out for a few seconds and comss back?
Dang man, thanks for this. I can tell now a lot of edm songs use this in between Transitions or they like to make intro sound futuristic!! :) 👍 I'm getting my PC back tomorrow so after I will clean everything up, I wil dowoad what ever is free and start making some Club Beats🤛 which I got into now days... Let's Go EQ!! I'll abuse it!!
very interesting input on the difference between low shelf and high pass =) 11:27 that place is gorgeous gorgeous! but you almost lost the vocalist!! or maybe you were just emulating the little house on the prairie intro...?? ;-P
Appreciate the vid. Just finished using paramedic eq2 to clean up some vocals. It sounded amazing. I made sure to save it. Opened the project back up and now my voice sounds super weird... I have looked everywhere to fix this but can't find no solution. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

I've always wanted to ask when you update fl studio do you have to re enter your sample packs and 3rd party vsts? for example from fl 12.2 to 12.4?
Kyle Jacobs The small updates like that will be okay, I'm not sure about updating from 11 to 12
In The Mix oh ok. was just curious since I'm on Fl Studio 12.2
