The Witch and Jethica

A look at two recent horror films that are a little eccentric, The Witch and Jethica. The Witch is Robert Eggers in his film debut, in a strange tale of religion gone crazy. Jethica is from Pete Ohs, which has an interesting look at ghosts. Both are very much worth a look.

I like how even Eggers said the Witch was a bit overrated. You wouldn't hear Oliver Stone saying that. The Witch is lovely. Great goat action. I'll check out Jethica at some point on this evidence. If you talk about it, it must be worth watching.

Thanks. Jethica is one of those nice little minor films that I liked a lot more than the thudding obvious ones. I can see why The Witch has a cult. It is ambiguous enough to get multiple viewings.
