No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk the Town of Godmanchester, It's name is seemingly just coincidental as there are no particular ties to either anything religious, or to the City of Manchester. Godmanchester was originally a Roman settlement known as "Durovigutum." The Roman name is believed to have derived from the Celtic word "dwr," which means water, and "vicus," which means settlement or village. So, Durovigutum likely referred to a settlement near water, which makes sense as the town is situated on the River Great Ouse. Over time, the name Durovigutum evolved into "Guvenceaster" during the Anglo-Saxon period. Eventually, it became "Godmundcestre" during the Middle Ages, which means "the camp or settlement of Godmund.

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to UA-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Around the town, my last visit was in 2008. The town has improved in a lot of areas especially around the flood gates
I loved growing up their our childhood was spent mostly outdoors it is a pretty place

You missed so much of old Godmanchester, after going through the graveyard you should have gone straight on, followed that pathway and then down to the old houses from the 1600's
everytime i go out recording lots of people stop and say hello, did many say hello, it was a quite sunday afternoon so there must have been a few
I think a few people did say hi, not when I was filming though. Was a lovely area to film.
