- The past nine months has been more than I ever imagined. Pregnancy has been one of the most exciting, challenging and physically demanding things I've ever done. It's brought a new meaning to family and my partnership with Matte - I've watched my daughter develop and grow and now I'm READY to meet her!

Not many celebrities show their real life struggles and I’m happy that she was one of the few to document her pregnancy journey. She’s such a trooper! I’m glad both her and the baby are healthy.
I know I'm so genuinely thankful to be able to see this... She's a hero for showing women her journey as it really happened.
Same love that she did
Even claire holt shares it ☺️
I didn’t know she was a celebrity what do she do?
Tori B she’s most known for her role as Emily in pretty little liars.
at the end, when she said "i cant" then the baby started crying, and she said out of relief "oh my gad its crazy" why am i so emotional 😭
That exactly how I was, in the last moment I screamed "I cant! I cant!!" And I just remember my body just gave in the last push and my baby came out... so crazy how your body just does that.
I was the same !!! One last push and my son was born! Crazy how things happen! ❤️
@Nicole Penny ikr. Me too! feel relieved too
Nicole Penny I cried too ahhh so emotional
SAME! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
It’s crazy that I watched her as Emily on pll as a baby and now she’s having a baby
Yesssss so happy for her !
I know right it's crazy to think about
Ikr ❤️
I’m so happy for her ❤️✨ congrats on her Bebe ❤️❤️
In the books Emily also has a baby ;)
I teared up when she started saying this is crazy this is crazy.
I did as well.
Me too
Same !
i cried my eyes out !
Here! Here!
the fact that she could talk during labor... this woman is TOUGH. congrats shay
ally those contractions took me down to my knees
She did have an epidural aswell though which takes away so much pain.
@@dogcakesuk9821 after like 23 hours
You can up until about 5-7 cm
She was in early labor the whole time. You can talk through those contractions
The “natural” route isn’t for everyone and I don’t think anyone should feel guilty for getting medical help.
Absolutely..I agree. I recorded my birth and posted it on my channel and I got a lot of backlash, of course I had to delete most negative comments. But my baby girl came out healthy and fine.
The Diary Of Fonze I’m sure you daughter is beautiful ❤️
@@tati2thicc265 Awww thanks Pooh 💖💖
I had one natural and one epidural. Epidural for the first, natural for the second and I haven't wanted anymore til now, lol . My oldest 17 and youngest 15
Tbh it’s probably not for most people
I cried when she cried, I can only imagine the joy she felt when she finally could hold her baby
I did 72 hours in labor. I almost died but I’m here with my baby🥰
Damn
Wow
I did 13 hours and nearly died too!
You're so brave girl
i was in labour for 2 hours and pushed for 5 minutes before my daughter was here😅
Tell me I wasn't the only one who actually felt the entire labor process with her. And I'm not even a mother yet.
I did as well! I don't even want any!
I felt it qnd I am a Male
Yes definitely. I'm a mom and it took me right back to my birthing room experience
I’m pregnant with my second and it honestly scared me 😅. My first was super easy, I’m scared to death this one is gonna be a pain in the ass lol.
Ive done it twice and this is EXACTLY what it is like. First time I watch a labour and delivery video that shows you the true side of labour
*water breaks* “wow this is such an attractive look right now”
actuallysougly we stan shay forverrrrrr
She’s truly iconic like that.
.
Same energy as when colleen started to straighten her hair when her water broke 💀💀
That black screen moment was like "im not crying, you are" we all were😣
Ruthjedi O. I definitely cried!
tearing rn
Porsche Vonne had me tearing up ☺️
sal. Me too for sure
Def crying. 😥😥
Her daughter is gonna be drop dead gorgeous. Because she is herself
she is gorgeous but two good looking parents dont always make good looking babies...the same way two ugly parents can have a very good looking kid...
Melodie Chartier yeye, but fast forward to now that we’ve seen atlas, wooooowww, is she precious. So beautiful, bless her
Melodie Chartier actually in my opinion everyone is wonderfully beautiful, I don’t like when people start saying “looking parents, ugly baby” like no, even though I’m ugly thanks to my dad HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA ( jk ) but yeah.
Imagine doing this before without all these medical advancement. Women are superheroes
My grandmother did this at home.... alone.... with 6 babies.
Not really. It’s within a woman’s anatomy to be able to conceive, carry, and birth children. It’s natural
@@shiloh8734 yeah well i would lose my mind from the pain.
My mom always does that
I did. No pain meds at all. Not even a Tylenol. It frigging sucked! Lol.
Even when her water is breaking she's a sarcasm queen😂😂😂
“Thank god I’m wearing these diapers “ 😂💀
I can relate so much.
“I’m 99 percent excited to meet her and 1 percent excited to eat.” Lmao
Stella Volgs that was me also I wanted food
Yes is true that happens and Plus it was 3 tornados around the area but i was more worry about meet the baby and super hungry 🤣
I was the same way. My brother-in-law brought Arby's, and I was so grateful. Lol.
Meeeee
I was both
“Thank god I’m wearing these diapers” that’s a mood😂
Hahaha 😂 😂 lol
Ella Barbour 😂😂 Right I’m like what!?! Did she just say she was wearing a diaper. 💜💜
Ella Barbour how is that a mood though? 😂
Malia Blossom sometimes during pregnancy you end up peeing out of nowhere from the baby being on bladder or leaking from the water breaking and it’s more easier to use the bathroom and wash up too
I'm in early labor which usually takes me two weeks and I'm thinking that's a great idea right now lol.
Oh god Shay's raw emotion and disbelief when she hears the baby crying is so beautiful, it's such a pure moment. I teared up ❤️
Same
Me too it was rlly touching 😭
*“no ovaries no opinion”*
honestly, i love that
marietta Rachel from Friends 🙌🏻
Well hello there fellow Lovatic 😆🖤

Yes
I really liked that shirt. Yet Matte had a lot of opinions when it came down to Shay's pregnancy.
okay but why does she look like that actress from jane the virgin in the beginning
wack marisa you mean gina Rodriguez. I was gunna say the same though lol
I thought so too 😂
wack marisa Her face is bloated from the pregnancy I’m in the same boat LOL
I literally didn’t recognize her.

I literally started crying when she said “it’s so crazy”
Oh my god so did I!

Same! Totally!
She posted a photo on instagram yesterday too 😊
She posted on her story’s yesterday but there was no bump and was like awwww shhhh!!!! The baby here! 😩☺️
The moment Shay started to feel her daughter come out and her saying “This is so crazy” then hearing the baby cry..hit me hard emotionally. That moment must be so powerful. Congratulations Shay & Matte 🍼
April Rose SAME ! 😭 it was so beautiful!!!
April Rose It is the CRAZIEST thing I have EVER experienced. I did it 3 times and every single time was so awesome and overwhelming. So many emotions all at once. It’s just amazing.
I bawled my eyes out when I heard the baby crying and Shay saying “its so crazy”. Man, so emotional
Victoria Hendrix so amazing! I love these videos!
I did as well.
“idk how people do this for like 36 hours”
*does 33*
Bri A hahaha if only they had a choice
No yo no tengo nada que ver con migo y con migo en el recuerdo del otro lado del mundo y pidiendo un montón de cosas que tanto me gusta de comer
As an ldr nurse I can say, No ones active labour is 36 hours. Active labour being 4-5cm having strong contractions approx 1-2 min apart causing uterine change. The doctor even said at one point “ you’re not in active labour”, thus they augmented with oxytocin. Her active labour would have been much less than that. None of its easy though! That’s for sure.
I give birth to my doughter for 26 minutes like wtf 😂😂
Emmanuela Lamaj I guess someone really wanted to get out of there 😂
I wanted to cry when she said “oh my god thats crazy”
Naydeline I did cry a little. Lol
Me too! Lol
I cried a lil. It was such an emotional and beautiful video. Thanks Shay for sharing this amazing experience with us
Me 2!
Naydeline I did cry 😭 😭 😭
This is how many ppl think that shay will be an amazing mom 👇
Can we just appreciate how supportive the nurse ( or the lady helping Shay) was? They way she was like "She DID tough it out" and honestly I want a nurse like that someday 👏
Zuzanna Skowronska that’s the doula.
raquela thanks x
Omg I teared up when I heard the baby crying and hearing her say “this is crazy “ . That’s exactly what I felt when I had my son 2 years ago. That first cry of your baby is the most precious moment and so unforgettable. But Man seeing this brought back so many memories. My water broke on June 17 at 5am and I delivered my son that same day at 35 weeks 5 days in the afternoon. But let me tell you how painful the contractions were especially with having to get pitocin 😩 And the epidural had no affect on me and still felt the contractions . Worse pain ever , but it went away after I push my son out in 3 pushes . And honestly I would do it all over again . And can’t wait to be a mommy to a 2nd child in the future ❤️
“99% excited to meet her and 1% excited to eat” it’s definitely love for shay to say that. amazing girl, we’ll done and congratulations she’s a dream 💖
When you were sayin "oh my god is so crazy" "I cant look" had me crying. I have had 2 miscarriages and I honestly cant wait until I am able to experience this and this has touched my soul. Thank you so much for letting us being able to experience this beautiful moment with you. Congratulations Shay on your beautiful baby healthy baby girl.💗
I believe having faith everything will come when the time is right💞. Keep being strong hun, cause eventually, in Jesus name you will be able to be a beautiful mother one day as well.
@@Abby-uk7rv thank you so much! I know shay had one earlier last year I believe I think that's why I resonated with her so much. Thank you for your kind words.💝
Awh I’m so sorry for your loss girl! I’ve had one myself at 5mnths it was so hard for me but here I am pregnant again!! 🤣💜 have hope, your time will come!
@@Ohsvm thank you 😭💝 I'm trying to stay strong. What keeps me going is I know one day I will be doing what shay is doing here 🤞💓
@Minimalist Mom In Progress the first was a blighted ovum on dec. 31st needed to have a d&c and second I'm not sure what happened but it was on April 15th only was pregnant for a week. Then I had miscarriage symptoms and pain and went to the er and it was all passed. I was checked out and I am perfectly fine..But thank you I am trying to keep strong and my husband helps me through. Right now I'm just trying to enjoy our time together. 💓
When she said she's only 1% excited to eat something and 99% to meet her daughter, SO TRUE! After labor I didnt want to sleep i was so excited to hold my daughter too.
khadz Ar you know it’s true love if you pick someone over food 😂
@@NicholasJamesEmmizzie exactly! Love makes ur stomach full 🤣
Lol I was the complete opposite. The whole time i was in labor all I could think about was what I was going to eat after it was over lol
Love the “no ovaries no opinion” shirt. Shay is one the few real big UA-cam. Loved every bit of this video. Congrats on the new baby.
Sierra 2021 that’s stupid. You need a male to make a baby just as much as you need ovaries and eggs. A man should be able to have an opinion on a baby as well. He’s 50% of the reason it’s coming
@@shiloh8734 i pretty sure its because women are the one's that have to endure the pain and are also the ones that push the baby out. Men don't do that part
@@shiloh8734 but not about whether the pain is too much for her and she wants an epidural, hat's the decision of the one who has the ovaries!
AJTheSimmer sure but who’s fault is that? A male is still needed to make the baby and is also a parent. The baby is just as much as theirs as it is the mother’s. They should have an opinion on certain things when it comes to children.
Nana Rappler what if her husband told her not to get the epidural and she did anyway and complications arose. Epidurals are actually quite dangerous if handled the wrong way. She could have been paralyzed, have severe back pain, it could have made pushing harder, or caused tears. Why would a husband want to see his wife suffer more than she has to? So many things could go wrong
seeing her in so much pain is personally birth control for me 😭😭 i cant imagine being in that much pain ! wooow props to every mom out there 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
It's all natural and you'll forget all.that pain.
It's a pain that will come to a end and you'll immediatly forget every.single minute of it.
Blue Girl definitely won’t forget any minute of it lmao (I had three natural unmediated labors)
I had a c section at 18 I'm 22 now and after one I was like never again the pain lol good for people who forget 😂🤦♀️🤦♀️
Blue Girl well my mom still haven’t forgotten about it 17 years later
Labor is horrible. A million things can go wrong. plus your body will be like a deflated balloon forever and ever. No one tells that stuff though.

Sarah Tinker Didn’t think we’d have the video as quickly as this!
I'm so excited to see Matte wearing this shirt considering how many opinions he had in previous videos and Shay stuck her ground! Congratulations Mama!
Is it just be or everyone just started crying when they started counting from one to ten 😭 Congrats Shay! I look up to you so much ❤️
Girl, I cried hard. Then when I heard her cry and then her baby started crying I cried even more... Congrats Shay!!!
Anthea Tan i cried too 😪😭 reminded me when i gave birth to my daughter
CONGRATS SHAY!
"No ovaries No opinion". YES YES! PREACH. 😊😊♥️
Also the nurse said:" She didnt complain". Even if she was, she has every right to complain! We are allowed to complain. Life is hard and giving birth is hard. And complaining is not a sign of weakness!
But, thanks for sharing this video with us. ♥️
I don’t know why but my eyes were tearing up when she said “it’s so crazy”, i’m still crying, that was a beautiful moment.
Pretty sure it's because you hear the little one let out a little cry right before, which definitely engages the maternal instinct! The beauty of new life! Man, I didn't know it could rain inside a house, because I've got all these droplets on my phone's screen. :'-)
Kyne Wicker these were all happy tears😭 and i don’t know if you’ve ever watched pll but while watching this, i just couldn’t believe that she’s so mature and ready for a new chapter in her life now, bc i really know her as emily, the shy teen😂So to hear the “it’s so crazy” that just touched a whole other part of my soul😢
Did everyone else cry when she was born? 😢😍
꧁Ms Wilson꧂ I cried the entire video 😂😂😂😂
Me too haha
Whew gosh....crying as the baby comes out and hearing Shay start crying for her baby Ughhh the tears!
Love the profile pic!⚡️
Yes, girl 😊 Team Flash til the end ⚡
I started crying too. I was so worried for her I'm happy everything went smoothly.
I love that the doctor walked in and knew Shay hadn’t felt the baby move and was worried and asked the nurse if she was hooked up and then was assertive about getting her on the monitor ASAP. So many doctors don’t really seem to listen to their patient and their concerns, especially in child birth. I’ve heard so many horror stories, so I love to see a doctor who is present and listening to the mother’s concerns and questions.
my mom was screaming in labour and the doctor told her " why are you screaming that bad ? havent you been preg before?" i wish my mum had a good doc and a nurse too and i am beyong glad shay had that for her
I'm not even kidding when I say this was so emotional and beautiful to watch. Shay's raw reaction at the end really brought me to tears. Props to the team who got this video together it was amazing and also congrats to shay and matte on their baby girl. I can't wait till we find out her name.
I think she let people know when she posted her swollen ankles and asked if it was her shoelaces or Atlas causing the swelling.
I love how real an open she is!! She doesn’t hide anything❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was so raw and beautiful. The fact that Shay is willing to share this wish us is a privilege. I am so happy for her and Matte ❤️
When she started saying “it’s so crazy”, MAN THAT MADE ME CRY.
dodo Alsaleh same
If this doesn’t end up on trending im gonna be mad af
I could hear the fear in the doula’s voice when they said they were going to start the pitocin. 😭 i am currently training as a doula and i really appreciated seeing how she interacted with you during your birthing process. You did awesome Shay! I cried. You are a warrior 🙌🏼
You'll learn then that the doula Shay had was horrible
Everybody was so sweet, supportive, and understanding. This is exactly how I want my Labor Day/birth to go. I’ve witnessed some doctors and families being completely rude to patients in labor and I wouldn’t want that.
ugh i cried so much when i heard her baby cry because i remembered meee pushing my guts out and then finally hearing my baby cry and realizing he was hereee 😩😩🥺🥺😢
How painfull was Labour?I want to know more about it
@@shafaqshaikh5521 it really cant be described... Sitting here pregnant with baby3. Eventually you "forget" the pain but.... I remember always describing iy like :, someone putting your whole spine in a grinder and mooshing it into a giant ball that is trying to press through your a-hole.... Literally.... The back/spine pain is not from this planet
@@PhyllisAlexis omg!!when you put it that way it scares me😥and yeah I also heard when you see your baby the pain vanishes 😁
@ZeeAlexis haha great way of describing it! I told my gfs I’ll capture a moment for them when I’m in active labour to describe how I’m feeling and all that came out of my mouth was “ I feel like I am dying” it’s so true though the moment you see your bubba it literally disappears I’ve heard until the next time your in labour it all comes back to you 😐😐 ps the shaking is actually horrible. Did you shake?
I'm crying because I remember how bad it was. It's an unforgettable experience. I had it without epidural and when they give you pitocin, the pain gets to 100! I don't mean to scare anyone but trust me it goes as soon as the baby is out
Shay had me in tears when she started reacting to her daughter coming into the world. 😭 my heart ❤❤❤
the epidurals are no joke y'all, best feeling in the woooorlddddd. 🥺
Her reaction when pushing, and when the baby finally came out, was so genuine I love it
Hearing her cry and you saying "this is crazy" had me in tears! I love how beautiful this was made. It showed how freaking hard it is but it was still so tasteful and beautiful! Thank you for letting us experience this miracle with you, Shay!
Was anyone else in straight TEARS watching this ?!? I feel like we went through this with Shay, and to see her deliver and hear baby girls first cries... my goodness !!!!
Me! I love these videos! I cherish mine so much ♥️
I did as well
No tears
The end just made me cry so much even when I’m nothing remotely close to a mom, but I felt that when she said at the end in shock “it’s so crazy.” Yeah, it sure is🖤this is so raw and beautiful!!

They will. Shay said so herself.
When I was in middle school and I found out labor could be like 12 hours my mind could not comprehend that but then when I found out it could be days in labor I lost my mind.

Destiny Marie Alvarez and sadly it seems as if your mom had that same mindset if you’re here. smh 🤧

You have done a great job! I literally cried when I've seen this. My son ist 2 years old now but I can remember how painful it was. It takes 36 hours from water broke to the birth of my son. Not even close to giving birth but seriously considering hiring a doula. That lady was so sweet and helpful.
I 100% am!
They're awesome! But find one that is better than what she had. Her doula wasn't a very good example.
@@sharkgirlloveschewba I know absolutely nothing about what makes a doula good or not so I was wondering why this one wasn't a good example and what a good example of a doula would be.
@@danidynamite2 doulas translate what the doctor/ midwife is telling the mom. She then explains pros, cons, evidence etc. She reminds mom that there's always a choice and mom gives final say and INFORMED consent, not just consent. Then she supports mom as best she can.
This doula was saying scary things to mom and had her in the WRONG position to engage baby.
Charls Jane my advice is choose someone that is going to help you stay in the right mind set by staying positive, telling you some options and supporting your decision. Also someone who is going to help you through the breathing techniques. The techniques and positive thoughts (“you’re strong” “you can do this”) helped me tough out the pain I was 8cm dilated when I got to the hospital 😂
I started crying when I heard the baby start crying and then I cried even more when shay started crying 😭
It's so hard watching her going through such hard and long labor. From my water breaking to delivery was 45 mins. Thank god I didnt go hrs and hrs. But watching this hurts me for this lady.

10:42 I started crying and shaking but it was such a beautiful moment. I‘m so excited to grow up and become a mother myself.
This makes me never want to get pregnant. I'm petrified of giving birth, I don't have a pain tolerance at all
Thats ok too
But u would be surprised how much your body can withstand in labor . It was made for it.
@@Simplelivingslowliving I hope so.
I think all mommas start off terrified but trust me that 9 months is long enough to prepare you. By that time your just ready to meet your baby and you’d go through anything to get them out lol! It can be painful yes but nothing you can’t handle. There is always an epidural as well and plenty of people willing to help.
Thats why adopt. Much better and more selfless
Also it’s not a “cop out” to get an epidural, you’re still going to feel and experience labour, but like shay said. Being in pain for 24+ hours is exhausting. And you need energy to push out a baby!
No Ovaries, No Opinion. That’s the motto!!! 😂
Poppy AB lol ikr
Seriously lol
took him a while to figure that out though lol 😂
I need to buy my boyfriend this shirt because i want to adopt instead of having my own child, but he keeps on persisting otherwise
Originally, it was a Rachel Green line in Friends: No Uterus, No Opinion. But I love Matte for wearing that T-shirt. 😂
